You know what? Aerial smash attacks is my number #1 most wanted gameplay change for the next Smash game. Preferably as unique attacks, since it could easily flesh out the veterans.
“This thing that you forgot” and other similar thumbnails have quickly become my least favorite YouTube thumbnail.
I'm gonna try to predict the major plot points of the Super Mario World movie:
- Takes place three years after the events of the first movie
- Wario and Waluigi take over Sarasaland, which they've been scheming and preparing to do during the three-year timeskip
- Baby Yoshi hatches and starts causing trouble up in Brooklyn, and so Mario and the gang have to get him back to Dinosaur Land
- Along the way, the gang runs into Daisy, which in turn converges the two plot threads together
- Upon realizing that Wario and Waluigi are too powerful, the heroes reluctantly agree to work with Bowser and borrow his army
- Bowser's army is combined wth Peach's and Cranky Kong's, and the Yoshi Clan agrees to help too, thus leading to the climactic showdown
- The post-credits scene involves Bowser announcing that he now has bigger plans, thus setting up a movie based on Super Mario Galaxy

I've been thinking about how Sakurai is making Kirby Air Riders with Bandai Namco, and it got me wondering; how would you guys feel if, in a full circle kind of way, the next Smash game was developed by HAL Laboratory (with Sakurai's supervision)? I mean, HAL already kinda has their foot in the platform fighter door with the Kirby Fighters series and the inclusion of Kirby's Smash moveset as a copy ability in Amazing Mirror and Planet Robobot. What do you guys think?
I’ve seen arguments that putting Luigi’s story in a Switch 2 Edition of the TYD remake would ruin the joke, but I think I know a way to work around this: turn Luigi’s story into a roguelike mode where you make up the story as you go along on each run. That way, you can (ideally) have Luigi playable while retaining the joke that he’s a blatant storyteller.

Nintendo so far has only done one double-feature Nintendo Direct, right? Back in August 2024?
I think double-feature Directs would be beneficial for Nintendo depending on the circumstances. For instance, June could probably fit in a double-feature of a DK Bananza Direct followed by a general Nintendo Direct.

I dreamt last night about the FE4 remake being announced in a June Direct. I guess it’s safe to say that’s my new most anticipated game.
