I think the hammerspace attacks in NASB are a lot more justifiable than they'd be in other games since most of the characters are pretty explicitly absurdist comedy characters who would be carrying a bunch of stuff like that with them, and those who aren't generally don't have hammerspace related moves with the only real exception being maybe Helga?
Toph's belt attack is still stupid though.

Not a fan of the rail grinding in Sonic Lario, but everything else is hitting the right spots for me - I like how there's some slower precision sections, can't wait to memorize those and speed through 'em. Fat Flicky is adorable.

I find it funny how Fang is probably the biggest "what creature is this supposed to be?" of the Sonic cast when he's arguably the closest to his real world inspiration (the jerboa) of any Japanese-made Sonic character not named Tails (though that isn't saying much)

I'm iffy about Sonic Superstars. Hope it doesn't use the Generations Classic Engine (or at the very least makes some major tweaks), the backgrounds look a little plain, and animal transformations really isn't vibing well with me, especially with how slow the jellyfish form looks. Hope it's good though, and still glad to see 90s-style Sonic not being left behind in the shift to 2000s nostalgia.

I actually think a Scribblenauts-style game utilizing AI art or music could be really fun, so long as none of the library used by the game is stolen at least. Maybe get a deal with Shutterstock or something
A gimmicky console concept I think would actually be cool is interchangeable control sticks - so you can take out the control stick and insert a Pippin-style trackball, a rigid 4-way arcade joystick, a single big button for single-button games or super attacks, a camera, a bigger control stick for less experienced players, a flicky thing like the one at the end of the Guitar Hero controller, so on.

I love how the announcer in the new Antonblast ad is just not into it. Perfect replication of the late 90s/early 00s game ad style.
There is a lot of legitimate revisionist history in the gaming sphere, but "people liked this game in the 2000s but now they think it's bad" is not an example of it.
The next DriDim major franchise job (which is tomorrow BTW) is something that I was expecting to take up a large chunk of franchises going into the thread, but actually hasn't.
I'm playing Mario 3, and I think the tanooki tail swipe might have the worst hitbox of any attack in any game I've ever played.

I think it would be kinda cool for Smash to embrace a little more... Fortnite-isms... in the next game. More specifically, when it comes to items. Most of the items in Smash are well, just that, common equippable weapons from the source material, with some exceptions like the Star Rod or Lip's Stick - when it would be way more fun to have individual characters' weapons in the item pool. Let Squirtle use the Chaos Emeralds or Ridley wield the Murasame or Kazooie perch on Pit's back.

I hate that I'm saying this, but I kinda miss Infinite. You know, sometimes I think I could just do with a quick argument over the historical significance of Blast Corps relative to the entire Turbografx game library, whether Jet Set Willy should be classed as a "meme game", or if Mercy Killing Agent Orange-Mutated Babies Simulator is an appropriate title to feature characters from in a fighting game.
Pretty much every "Disney went woke and got BROKE" talking point has a more rational explanation
- Strange World - Had no marketing until it launched on DVD
- Lightyear - A movie inside a movie that completely contradicts an already-popular movie inside a movie
- Turning Red - Extremely limited theatrical release
- Remakes going from blockbusters to flops - cause and effect, people seeing the remakes and realizing they're bad
- Onward - Released exactly as a pandemic started
Kirby Tilt N' Tumble is actually a rad pick for NSO, one of those games I expected to stay in the vault forever... Even if I can't play it because I have 3P controllers.

I think one bit of context I forgot to provide for my previous N64/GBC takes is that I was counting the Virtual Boy and Game & Watch in my ranking of consoles. Not familiar enough with Colour TV Game and Pokemon Mini to say if their libraries are better or worse than GBC and N64 though. (though I think CTVG is mostly direct clones, so I wouldn't really be able to count it)
