I feel like how teams ride bikes in DriDim is a case by case thing depending on which team and which vehicle is in use. Some bikes you'll get multiple of that are smaller than if a character rided alone, some might have sidecars, some are big enough that even the largest teams can share a ride; and on the other hand, some teams might be small enough to share bikes that other teams would have to split.

Why has no platform fighter implemented proper in-game stage striking and counterpicks yet? Like I get the simplistic stage striking system in PM since that's based on an existing menu engine, but I don't get why Rivals and Slap use that same system instead of letting players automate the RPS and force controller swaps.

Even if we're to say that being "grateful" for a nearly £100 game is reasonable, I don't get why people use "he got us Sora!" as proof that we should be "grateful" for Smash and Sakurai. Not only was Sora an extremely easy get by Sakurai's own admission, but he was also an extremely divisive character beforehand - for as many people were on board, just as many weren't.

I feel like my problem with the direction Sonic seems to be going in post-Frontiers is less that they're going in a direction I disagree with and more that they're going in a direction at all - like, look at a character like Batman or Mickey Mouse. The Dark Knight can coexist with Lego Batman; the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse can coexist with Kingdom Hearts; I don't see why moody teen-angst Sonic can't coexist with snarky slapstick Sonic.

I like how in the intro to Sonic Christmas Blast, Robotnik blows up for no reason. Like there's no bomb or cannon pointed to his face, it just cuts from recycled footage of him talking to an explosion because there was an explosion in the original intro at that point.

Since I bought up the Mario mandates yesterday, I guess I should say my current opinion - they're probably real, but not all of them are unjustified. If we're to believe they exist, the rules relating to character designs and cameos are unreasonable, but the ones relating to plot elements and tone are 100% justified. I don't think things like the weird sci-fi font, Horror Land losing the ketchup blood joke, or WarioWare games having less atmospheric levels are mandate things but rather (bad) artistic choices.

While I don't believe most of the stuff I used to say about the "Mario mandates" anymore, I will at least say that I do still believe that Ashley would be the perfect "floodgates" character to introduce spin-off characters to Mario multiplayer games.

One thing I feel I should mention about Echoes in EAC is that I'm 100% open to stance change echoes (so Diddy's echo being Dixie, but with a stance change into Kiddy as a DK echo for example) - I'll allow both, individual and stance change echoes for Pokémon Trainer and Pythra, but for voting's sake you'll still need to provide a single one of the 3 characters for them to be tied to.

Plus we're voting on both's echoes (with Wario's options being Booster, Penny, and a Pinky from Doom; while ZSS' options are the composited "Half-Suit Samus"; a genderswapped variant; and Jill of Resident Evil) and Wario's stage. I find it funny how - sans the completely logical Fantasia and rubberhose cartoon references - most of the references to specific Mickey universe media in Kingdom Hearts are the most random things ever. There's no Goofy Movie; Mickey and the Beanstalk; Oswald the Lucky Rabbit; or Rescue Rangers representation, but they have an entire 3 Musketeers world; Mickey's Toontown; and a boss battle based on the banned Runaway Brain cartoon.

It annoys me when YouTubers will mention someone who got into a controversy (or something created by them) off-handedly and feel the need to bring up their controversy for no reason.
