A small part of me is interested in seeing like, a Metroid fighting game. Like, it takes place in a big map right, and each character has some special ability that helps with progression. Then you have to find and eliminate each other. Even so I feel like there'd be so many issues with this premise that it would wind up being, like, boring as hell. For characters though I think there's some cool potential.
For instance, if we were to ditch the whole canon of Metroid (okay this might sound bad already but hear me out,) we could have cool picks like some of the Hunters seen in, well, Hunters - oh, and Prime 3! Hell, even bosses like Dark Samus, Ridley, or a playable Zeta Metroid could be fun to see, as well as more recent choices like EMMI and [HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED FOR SPOILER REASONS]! Even so, I get why something like this could end up being unpopular. What would your thoughts be?
