Jack Mooney from Death in Paradise, a Cyberman from Doctor Who, a Teletubby, Padington, The Stig from Top Gear, and Mary Berry from The Great British Baking Show,

While the Hero solution might seem tempting, the Teletubbies could easily have movesets of their own - Dipsy has his hat and smooth dance moves, Tinky Winky has his tutu and handbag, Po has her scooter, and Laa Laa has her ball. Just assign each major element of the show (custard, toast, voice boxes, the windmill, e.t.c.) to one specific tubby and they can be highly distinct.

Surprised Peppa Pig hasn't been mentioned yet. Personally, I think the roster should be limited British TV characters and not, say, RareWare characters or characters in other media who are canonically British.

A character from Primeval using prehistoric animals to fight with,
BonafideFella

Rod Hull and his Emu; the Emu serving as both the prime method of attack as well of a shield of sorts, it’s plumage absorbing most blows

I would also like to suggest Banksy as the Solid Snake equivalent

Peter Rabbit would be neat, now that I think about it.

As a die-hard W&G fan, I think they'd have to be a duo - the dynamic is always "Wallace gets Gromit into trouble, Gromit goes to great lengths to protect Wallace, Wallace saves the day." so I propose the Wallace attacks be punishable but strong kill moves while Gromit is the one increasing the damage counter and tricking foes into Wallace's attacks. Whether they'd be a stance fighter or just have some Wallace moves and some Gromit moves I don't know.

Dave Lister from Red Dwarf. Or really just any Red Dwarf rep in general.

It just occurred to me that there's an absolute goldmine of potential content in kids tv here, perhaps most notably in the form of Thomas the Tank Engine and Postman Pat

Also **** and Dom would be a funny weird early CBBC rep and the idea of them screaming "BOGIES" as their neutral special is unreasonably funny to me

I personally believe Thomas should be a stage. The only way to make Thomas work as a game character, like in general, would be...

Nope.

Also, there should be a TV Burp stage that functions like Training Town from Rivals Workshop - just switching between the other stages constantly.

Harry Hill using his massive shirt collar as a sword swing seems like it would be a fun F-Smash but it would have more range than Sephiroth
