Super Smash Bros. Wins "Favorite Video Game" Award at the People's Choice Awards 2015!

Last night, the 42nd People's Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles, California at the Microsoft Theatre on CBS. Although most of the awards were about television and movies, there was an award for the people's "Favorite Video Game". In the end, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U won the award over Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Congratulations to Nintendo and the Smash Bros. team, and thank you to all Smashers who voted for Smash Bros.!

It is safe to say that 2015 was a massive year for Super Smash Bros. Wii U from both a competitor and spectators point of view. In 2015 we saw more major tournaments than ever before and also got to witness the rise of players such as TSM ZeRo, Liquid` Nairo, and many more who were all able to show off the games enormous competitive potential.

After concluding our series highlighting the best SSBM plays of 2015, EMG is now ready to release the Top 25 plays of 2015 for Super Smash Bros. Wii U! Without further ado, here are the best of the best!

A Breakdown of Corrin's Moveset

Ever since Corrin was announced in the last Smash Broadcast, his inclusion has been met with some controversy. Despite this controversy, one fact remains -- Corrin looks like a very unique addition to the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/ 3DS roster. Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Smash, has even stated this was the reason the dragon, chainsaw swordsman was chosen in his bi-weekly Famitsu Column.

@Delzethin has decided to break down Corrin's unique moveset to show the full potential of the Omega-Yato and what the blood of a dragon allows Corrin to do.

The UK has one of the largest Smash scenes in Europe and, though it has seen periods of relative isolation, has always provided the international competition with fierce challengers in various Smash titles. This started back when American Melee player The Doug lived in the UK and was one of the best in Europe, before passing the torch to household names like Fuzzyness and Professor Pro. Over the years, the British scene expanded into Brawl, Project M and Smash 4 and to this day features both mixed and dedicated events that draw in local and foreign attendance. Some of their moments of glory in 2015 were Professor Pro's win over Hungrybox and J.Miller's victory at BEAST V.
