You ever notice how Toy Story 3 technically holds the title of the best Barbie Movie?

I have an embarrassing confession to make about the Spyro games.

Now I have yet to play one, but I've been interested in doing so for a long time. And one of the first aspects of the series I learned about that appealed to me was the variety of elemental breaths. I've always loved multi-elemental abilities, so I thought it was pretty cool that these games had that kind of feature.

I wasn't until much later on that I learned these elemental breaths debuted in Enter the Dragonfly and that the original trilogy didn't have them. They only had fire breath.

That's the embarrassing part is that ended up being a bigger turn off for me then it ever should have been. And it kinda sorta didn't help that fire is my least favorite of the 4 elements.

It took a number of mental shouts at myself that this isn't a big deal for me to realize it's not a problem.

In Superstar Saga, Mario got the Firebrand ability and Luigi got the Thunderhand ability.

Sure that was the only game where Luigi had Lightning Powers, but still, let’s say Wario and Waluigi got their own elemental hand abilities.

What would their elements be?

Not that this really matters, but when Ridley was revealed to be playable in Smash Ultimate, do you think they would have used the reveal tagline "Ridley Hits it Big" if Smashified hadn't already used it for their fan render?

Did you guys know that despite being a character of manga origin, Natsu from Fairy Tail has a workaround to the video game characters only rule?

The mangaka of Fairy Tail, Hiro Mashima, likes to reference his older works in his newer works. Like with how Elsie Crimson from Edens Zero is very similar in appearance to Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail.

And there’s a mobile game out there developed by Square Enix called Gate of Nightmares that Mashima was so involved in that it’s honestly more of a Hiro Mashima game that Square Enix just happened to develop.

Gate of Nightmares has ended service, but during its run Mashima made a character for the game named Manatsu who is Natsu in everything but name.

-They look pretty much exactly the same.
-They have the same Voice Actor.
-They are both Fire Element Melee fighters.
-They are both Dragon Slayers

Despite this, Manatsu is still a character designed for a video game. Therefore, he is of Video Game Origin.

So there’s the workaround. Put Manatsu in Smash and you basically have Natsu in the game =P

Awesome as it is that they made the Switch region free, are there even any notable examples of Switch games that are only available in specific regions?

So because backlogs are a pain, I only just recently started the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games. Playing through 1 currently and haven’t even bought 2.

Before I started seriously getting into the actual game, I spent a lot of time deleting the save data and restarting so I could get the created character just right.

That ended up requiring some research into the stats and traits of each race. During which I saw a lot of opinions that the only good race from a gameplay perspective were the Earthlings.

Problem is, I couldn’t make an earthling I liked. I tried making myself but I just couldn’t get over how all the options for brown hair in XV1 suck, then I tried making Erza from Fairy Tail (my waifu) and while the results were better the lack of a hair length long enough to match hers just made it look too different to really feel like Erza.

So I eventually just said screw it and decided to make a character of the Frieza race with an appearance mostly based on my favorite breed of dogs (Boston Terriers).

The low opinions of the stats on that race had me a bit concerned but I figured that if I’m just trying to get through the main story first it should be fine.

And it looks like I was right because there’s not been any trouble so far.

If Twitter was a human being and they were in captivity by a Yandere who’s too much a fan of the Twitter website, why would that Yandere not allow Twitter to take a Shower?

Remember in the first episode of Sonic For Hire’s 5th season where Peppy was explaining to Sonic and Tails that they needed help since Fox left?

And then Tails said “Well I’m a fox, so naturally I should be in charge.”only for Peppy to reply “Thanks but uh no thanks. We’ll go with the blue guy. Not the gay fox.”

When you stop to think about it, isn’t Peppy basically saying he’d rather have Falco as a leader than Fox?

Not sure who here remembers Sonic Rivals, but as you'd expect from the title the idea of that game is to feature Sonic and the characters that have served as rivals to him over the years.

I don't know if what I'm about to mention is actually true, but I heard once upon a time that Jet the Hawk was considered to be a playable character in the game since he is a rival to Sonic, but they decided against him since his speed comes from him riding extreme gear.

I would be able to see the login behind that if not for the fact that extreme gear that comes in the form of Jet Boots, has been around since Sonic Riders began. Just give Jet one of those and you're good to go.

Would it be considered an unpopular opinion for one to say they prefer Silver over Gold?

A couple weeks back I made a post talking about the idea of an alternate Dragon Ball timeline where Goku was a mage.

It was kind of a satirical post, but seriously speaking, let's assume that such a thing actually does happen.

Dragon Quest also has it's characters done in Toriyama's Art Style. So would the magic Goku uses in this scenario just be copy-pasted from Dragon Quest? Or would they try to do something different?

Say what you will about Sonic and the Black Knight. But when else will a Sonic game have a cutscene where Shadow bows to Sonic?

Many video makers who have been around for years said things when they first started out that they cringe at in the modern day.

I’m sure that Stuttering Craig from Screwattack.com is no different.

Back in 2007 (pretty sure it was that year) Screwattack released a video called “Top 10 Worst 2D to 3D Games” and the description for that video on Screwattack’s website said “If you’re like Stuttering Craig, you think that gaming peaked at the SNES, and that 3D wasn’t necessarily a good thing.”

Yeah, I don’t think I need to explain the issues present with that statement.

Gotta be honest, I feel a little weird about the statement of “4th Party Characters”

To explain why, let me put it this way.

I saw a Twitch stream once where the streamer said “There’s no such thing as a 4th party franchise. That’s just a term the Smash community made up and no one else uses it”.

And honestly, he’s kinda right.

If Sakurai ends up binging The Big Bang Theory at just the right time for deciding the roster of a Smash game, then watch him include a Pokemon Trainer who, instead of Rock Paper Scissors, has team synergy based on Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock.

So apparently people are doing the whole "Smash or Pass" thing with the roster of Smash Ultimate.

...........Well if Arizona from Thems Fightin Herds becomes playable in a future smash title, then we all know which option All Might from MHA would pick.

Confession time. Aside from Guardians 1 and 2 and the first Ant-Man, I have never seen a single MCU movie all the way through.

So I don't know for sure if my Avatar is from a later movie in that line that had Star Lord in it, but I get the feeling it is.

The main power source in Dragon Ball is obviously ki. But magic is present within the franchise as well.

And a lot of the alternate timeline stuff Dragon Ball has been doing lately have introduced some crazy concepts. Some characters have even been using cards to summon other characters as if they were Yu-gi-oh monsters.

So what if we got a timeline where rather then being a martial artist, Goku was instead a mage?

I wonder what will end up being possible in terms of fusing projectiles enemies try to use against you onto your own weapons in Tears of the Kingdom.

Some people prefer the original Banjo-Kazooie over Banjo-Tooie. Others prefer Tooie over the original.

It all depends on who you ask, but one of the reasons people who prefer the original have that preference in the first place is Gruntildas Rhymes.

I even used to watch a YouTube channel by someone who prefers Tooie over Kazooie yet he still said this at one point.

“It’s a shame that the rhymes in Tooie were taken away from Gruntilda, and given to that little pest Jam-Jars. Grunty would absolutely DESTROY Jam-Jars in a rap-off. Heck, I’d bet money on that match.”

If Tears of the Kingdom expands on BOTW's cooking system what new ingredients do you think they'd add?

I myself would expect Potato's and Chocolate. I'm a little surprised those weren't ingredients in BOTW to be honest.

Bit of a weird question, but do any of you have a moment where not understanding how a certain game mechanic worked actually added to your experience with the game in some way?

For me, when I got to the final boss in age of calamity, I was initially playing as Link. But then the cutscene played where Terrako sacrificed himself to weaken Ganon and then I thought “You know what? This is Zelda’s fight to win.” And switched to Zelda.

The problem was, I didn’t have Zelda at as high a level as Link. So during the final phase when Ganon lowered me to a measly quarter of a heart I got worried. I considered switching back to Link, but I didn’t know if Zelda could take that hit as an AI without dying.

And since Zelda being defeated was part of the levels fail conditions, I thought it was a risk I couldn’t take so I kept playing as Zelda…..with a quarter of a heart……at the final boss.

The fact that I managed to defeat Ganon before he scored that last hit still feels pretty great to this day.

I used to think that the Indie Game known as Have a Nice Death was the kind of game that THOSE kind of people would accuse of being a rip-off of Hollow Knight.

Then I learned that Have a Nice Death is a Roguelike instead of a Metroidvania and felt unintelligent.

I'm putting together another Victory Theme Compilation video and both Agent 47 and The Trapper will be in it. But I don't really know what I want to use for backgrounds for them.

They were in the previous video and I had backgrounds for them.

But considering that I just decided "that looks like it would be a decent smash stage from their game. I'll just use that" for that video I don't know if they really fit the characters that well. This time I want a mix of a background that fits the character while still being an area that can at least work as a stage.

To get an idea for what I'm doing for background this time, here's a few images for the new video that I've already put together.

People like to point out the similarities between Zuko from Avatar and Todoroki from My Hero Academia.

But here's something that actually a difference between them. And a bit of disturbing one at that.

Zuko's Uncle loves tea. But Todoroki got his scar from his mom's teapot.

Superman is capable of surviving off of Solar Energy alone. He doesn't need to eat food or breathe oxygen like humans.

This probably extends to keeping his teeth healthy as well. So why would he ever need to brush his teeth?

Is there a worthwhile remaster of Tales of Symphonia or is it truly “GameCube or bust” with that game?

There’s a lot of Mario RPG characters that people would like to come back.

But does Booster from Super Mario RPG need to come back since Wario is around?

I remember one of the top 10’s Screwattack did back when they were a thing was top 10 video game wimps (only they chose a more vulgar term than wimps).

When they got to the entry talking about Punch-Out on the NES, they acknowledged that most people would think of Glass Joe for this category since being pathetic is kind of his trope and he has a record of 99 losses and only 1 win.

However, they instead focused on the fact that he has that 1 win in his record. Meaning someone actually lost to him.

They put whoever lost to Glass Joe on as the Punch Out Entry on that list and said “whoever he is, wherever he is, that dude sucks some serious ass”.

I remember two bits of in-stage dialogue from Sonic games, but I think my memory of them might be a Mandela Effect.

One of them is with Team Rose in Sonic Heroes on the Bingo Highway Stage. When Amy and Cream finish explaining to Big what Bingo is, he says something along the lines of “Sounds boring. I’d rather go fishing.”

The other is during the final boss of Sonic Adventure 2. Where Shadow says something along the lines of “Sonic. I think I’ve discovered the truth of the ultimate life form. It might be you.”

I have a confession to make, I have yet to see past Season 2 of the Castlevania Show.

I really should get around to that at some point. I enjoyed the first two seasons.

Except for one aspect. The fact that Carmilla was so insistent in Season 2 that Dracula didn't love Lisa and that he didn't turn her into a Vampire because he wanted to keep her as a human pet pisses me off more than it honestly should.

There's a Cup Noodle commercial from Japan starring Vegeta.

And it's kind of disturbing seeing Vegeta destroying all those Vegetables. He's basically re-slaughtering his own race just to make some Ramen.

I learned of this commercial last night, and later that same night I found out something that makes this even worse.

You know how Dragon Ball is, well, japanese? Guess what, Monkey Meat is Legal in Japan.

At that point it's just like "are you freaking kidding me?" What's next? Some really spicy Super Saiyan themed spice?

For dinner tonight, I made a burger and some potato mochi straight out of pokemon legends arceus.
