new platfighter mechanic - jump dodge. Basically snap up on the left stick when shielding, instead of a spot dodge you do a short hop with a few frames of invincibility where you hover for a small bit. After the invincibility frames, you can stop hovering just by flicking a direction to air dodge, or by attacking with an aerial - but all landings cause a pretty severe bit of lag, like the airdash attack in Fraymakers - however, you can have less lag on landing by holding nothing and just falling to the ground, though there's usually no reason to do this as jump dodges are to hard punish low-profile strong attacks and to counter grounded approaches.
