I think Link is a solid design as a composite version of the character (which IMO is the way he should be rather than scrambling to reflect the latest Zelda game), but if I had to incorporate more BOTW/TOTK elements, I have two ideas that I think could work without compromising Link's archetype or any of his moves.
- Ultrahand would make for a nice long-range, non-tether grab like Pac-Man's. Easy-peasy; Wouldn't even need to change the throws, really.
- Fusing was a little more tricky, but I found a way. When Link is holding one of his Remote Bombs, he can fuse it to another weapon through another special input. Neutral Special becomes a Bomb Arrow (less range/more startlag for a stronger explosive hit), for example.
I totally get why it wasn’t done, but I think it woulda been cute if DriDim allowed Kirby skins based on non-Smash characters.
I decided to do something silly and make a Waluigi moveset... exclusively using moves already used by other characters. Visual/small tweaks are fine, but major deviations are a no-go. (It should go without saying this is FAR from my ideal Waluigi set; Just a fun thought experiment.)
- Jab: Snake
- Dash Attack: Corrin (mainly chose this one for the parallels to Luigi Missile, heh)
- Forward Tilt: Fox
- Up Tilt: Terry
- Down Tilt: Cloud
- Forward Smash: Peach (always uses tennis racket)
- Up Smash: Steve (uses a Dice Block and punches it)
- Down Smash: Luigi
- Neutral Air: Bayonetta
- Forward Air: Snake
- Back Air: Luigi
- Up Air: Luigi
- Down Air: Lucas (no PSI effect)
- Grab: the one basic "two hand" grab basically every fighter uses lmao
- Pummel: Wario
- F-Throw: Fox
- B-Throw: Luigi (Pre-Ult)
- U-Throw: Sheik
- D-Throw: Kirby
- Neutral Special: Snake (uses Bob-Omb)
- Side Special: Sora (Swimming Return)
- Up Special: Luigi
- Down Special: Luigi
- Final Smash: Negative Zone

With Charles Martinet stepping down as Mario's VA, I wanna share two cool facts about him.
Firstly, he didn't just voice the plumbers and Toadsworth, but also Goombas, Monty Moles, and Thwomps.
Secondly, he once offered to voice Link.
I think he coulda done a good job.
I'm still working on that Mario rework video (I'm hoping to get it out by the end of September at absolute latest), but in the meantime, here's my ideas for a DK rework since I'm not planning on making a video about him because I'd change a lot less (and I didn't change much about Mario to begin with).
- Give him his canon voice.
- Giant Punch is moved to Forward Smash - It's not my favorite change, but I think it's for the best given a special I'm adding.
- Cargo Carry gets moved to Up Throw to better suit the animation.
- Neutral Special is now Barrel Throw, which is more akin to a command grab than a zoning tool - DK tries to trap the opponent in the barrel before throwing it. If he fails, the endlag makes it very ineffective at zoning out opponents. However, opponents hit by the barrel are knocked towards DK, allowing for followups.
- Side Special is Spinning Kong.
- Up Special is Barrel Cannon, which can be angled in three directions and doesn't have much range, but has a strong hitbox.
- Final Smash is the same, but its visuals are closer to the boss beatings in the Retro Studios DKC titles.

I'm probably going to nix my plans to put Smash from Scratch on hiatus for a bit - I see Waluigi's wave of content being done by week's end, and the fighter following him will be the thread's last (sorry, no second DLC season) anyway, so might as well go full throttle.
I am, however, gonna be moving into college soon, so I might have to delay a new day of jobs at one point.

While I'm still a solo Sans supporter, adding a "Sans & Papyrus" team that's just Papyrus fighting and Sans slacking off in the background ala Pokemon Trainer would be cool, in-character for both, and goddamn hilarious.
I'm surprised at how much stuff from my SpongeBob Nexed moveset made it to his NASB 2 set.

I remember when I was a kid and stumbled upon the Cheetahmen website (yes, there is a Cheetahmen website), they had this whole section of the site dedicated to a theoretical iPhone port of the game, gassing it up with stuff like "Angry Birds will soon be no more..." and "Apple is already predicting a million downloads by the first day".
Even my elementary school self who would ravenously defend Angry Birds from the slightest bit of vitriol couldn't take it seriously - I remember reading it in an overly dramatic voice like K. Rool's from DK64.
Here's the site in question - Mid 2000s as hell, but should be safe. Note that the iPhone port stuff is gone by now, but it's still got a ton of interesting stuff about Action 52 and Cheetahmen.
