Thor love and thunder was pretty disappointing but I feel like that’s because of what wasn’t in the movie not what was in the movie. Like everything in the film was really good (not perfect but still good), it just felt like a lot was missing and the movie was unfinished. I’m perfectly fine with shorter movies but this movie definitely needed things to be better fleshed out especially Gorr

The idea of slytherin being a house obsessed with purebloodedness and that being really entrenched in the world of the series could have been such an interesting concept in the story if it was addressed and corrected properly but it’s really disappointing that they did absolutely nothing with it in that way

Fighting game characters who's names are just one letter are always the coolest. Q from SF3, G from SFV, K' from KOF and J from Samurai Shodown come to mind

My hamilton hot take that isn’t really a hot take is that I feel like recently people have definitely exaggerated the problems with hamilton in terms of historical accuracy in ways that are pretty unfair to it. Especially when it comes to slavery because all of Hamilton’s stances on slavery are for the most part fairly accurate in the musical from what I understand. There are definitely things you can criticize about how it sorta dodges around the issue but a lot of founding fathers, Hamilton included, saw slavery as a necessary evil to win the war and thought it would naturally be phased out after the war. Obviously that was a huge mistake (which is a way bigger discussion) but it is true that he likely was morally opposed to it and wanted its end. Again I don’t blame people for making these criticisms and they’re fair but I don’t necessarily 100% agree with them
tldr the portrayal of hamiltons beliefs on slavery in hamilton was alright actually

The american coverage of Shinzo Abe’s assassination is extremely dishonest and poor. Maybe they’ll call him “controversial” or “nationalist” but that’s barely even scratching the surface of the things he believes, the guy is a far-right war crime denier.
He didn’t deserve to die but it’s dishonest to not agnowledge his true legacy when talking about his life, especially when most of the west who aren’t versed in politics probably won’t know who he is.
I feel like a lot of people in the smash infinite thread don’t read submissions because I’ve seen a lot of people criticizing character submissions they don’t like with points that were directly agnowledged and counter argued in the OP

Normally I’m on board with crossovers that push the boundaries of who can get into a game, or characters you wouldn’t expect to be in a game getting in the game, but I really don’t like some of the smite crossovers simply because I really like the idea of a bunch of god characters made for different franchises being added to smite and their franchise being listed as if it was a mythology. Really big missed opportunity there tbh.

I always love looking at fan casting for hypothetical movies based on things I like but it always bugs me when the characters they pick are completely all over the place from throughout the whole franchise when it’s just for the first movie. Wouldn’t you want your first movie to have a basic cast so you can think up more of the plot?
Kind of annoys me when people make a platfighter concept and it has literally every single random specific element from smash like does every platfighter need series logos, victory animations, three taunts per character, animated reveal trailers and trophies all in one game? And would they even have the budget to do so in a new IP?

On the subject of the dragon ball superheroes movie I think it represents the ideal way to make movies like that of an anime series or pretty much any series similar to dragon ball. Focus on side characters who probably wouldn’t get attention anymore, much less new character arcs in the original series and take the time to flesh them out and have them grow. You can still have the main characters but just don’t focus on them as much. It’s rare for movies to do that and I wish they would more. -
