Alright so one time I was in a play for school that ends with a wedding and I played the priest. Right before I was about to preform, the teacher who was directing came to me with pieces of paper to hold up that said “oooooh” and “aaawww” to hold up at the emotional/dramatic parts for a joke and so the audiences would react strongly. On the last night of performance we were doing a dance number and one of the cast members who wasn’t in it was backstage and held up a sign to the actors that said “slay” to encourage us. Immediately I have a genius idea and ask her for the sign later because at the wedding scene there’s a part where a character comes out as gay so I hold up the sign that says slay as he did this. Basically that’s how I made an entire theatre shout “slay” at the same time.

also if you’re thinking “isn’t that joke from shrek 2?” I asked my teacher that immediately and she said “oh no you figured it out”

I feel like the only reason people ever considered crazy bus the “ultimate bad game” is because they knew nothing about it and thought it was an actually commercially released product. It was quite literally just a game a guy made and put on the internet. There needs to be an air of dissapointment or developers/directors being in over their heads for the true “ultimate bad game”. If that’s how low the bar is for the “ultimate bad game” then what’s stopping a scratch game made by a six year old getting that title?

I’m gonna go full reddit atheist mode and say I think atheists are capable of understanding the bible better than christians. If you follow the teachings of a religious text you can understand it’s role as a historical document but it will ultimately be tinted by your own personal beliefs. With atheists they’re able to actually analyze the historical context of the situation, and while it might be clouded by their own personal beliefs the scientific method fundamentally encourages learning from mistakes and being wrong while religion generally discourages questioning things. I’m not even really saying “christianity good atheism bad” but I do think one way of thinking is fundamentally more inclined to being able to more accurately analyze the bible and other religious texts in their historical contexts.

Ok so I found an old “encyclopedia of super heroes” my dad used to have and I love it so much. It’s a catalogue of basically any superhero who existed before 1985 and a description of them, regardless of what company they come from or how obscure they are. It has like Super Grover from Sesame Street and **** alongside contemporary superheroes whose descriptions are probably outdated but that just makes it more charming. It even has a section on foreign super heroes which includes some shonen jump characters and Ultraman.

I don’t think the depiction of mongols in ghost of tsushima is really “problematic” but it is 100% just really lazy writing. Then being portrayed as an unambiguously evil invading force is fine but barely anything about them is actually explored in the game and barely any of them get any characterization which just makes them not function that interestingly as villains. I guess khotun is probably the most interesting but his actions feel very inconsistent with the rest of the army and I just don’t think the same amount of effort of representing another culture went into the villains as the heroes in the game.

Red skull in infinity war was basically objectively a dumb idea, it’s hilariously random and makes no ****ing sense but I can’t help but kind of like it because it just has that weird comic book-y quality to it and it’s not really joked about that often so it comes across as more sincere.

I think sonic fans are pretty annoying but it’s not because they make weird fanart or something like that, a lot of the time they can just be really juvenile and unproductive about how they compare their games or compare them to other series. Obviously this isn’t all of them. I don’t think this just a result of their size but I do think that’s a big part of it.
