I just realized, what the heck is the “in a world we must defend” line in the pokemon opening supposed to mean? Like are they talking about having to defend it from team rocket? Has that ever been the goal of any main characters in the pokemon anime?
So I watched the live action king of fighters movie.
It’s obviously an awful adaptation and isn’t a good movie but I was surprised because it’s actually pretty enjoyable on its own and I had a fairly good time watching it. Would reccomend if you’re a fan of the series and open to something weird. Kyo and Terry are extremely unlikeable though.
I got that smt mobile game I was talking about earlier and it’s actually really good, probably one of my favorite mobile games that aren’t just a single simple concept. Plus you can make it look like mothman is anywhere so that’s a plus.
ok damn theatrhythm is hard to spell, like it’s made up of two words I already struggle to spell properly putting them together is double the hard to spell
If the “characters have to come from nintendo consoles only” fanrule is true then cloud was added to smash for the sole purpose of promoting theatrhythm final fantasy and nothing else, and theatrhythm final fantasy is extremely important to nintendo according to sakurai. Important enough that it alone justifies cloud being in and if final fantasy 7 never existed and theatrhythm was his debut he would still be in.
This sounds like an exaggeration but if he’s only allowed in smash because of a nintendo appearence then yea wouldn’t that mean sakurai considers the nintendo appearence to be very important? Obviously theatrhythm final fantasy isn’t that important of a game and the reason he was added in is because of his legacy to the games industry in general, why should theatrhythm be the only reason he was “allowed” in?
sorry for this rant, this mindset just bugs me a lot and I can’t wait for the day it’ll be proved wrong
Another thing about the terrible live action death note, there was a point where someone says “L is real?” and I nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard him say it lol
Katamari in crossy road is one of my favorite examples of weird crossovers in mobile games because you never would have thought of it, but when thinking about it more you realize it actually does work quite well

I watched the live action death note movie for fun. It’s somehow worse than I thought and is pretty good if you wanna hate-watch something for fun. It did a couple interesting things like light’s hesitancy to kill police and L’s response to watari’s disappearence but overall yeah it’s really overly edgy and a mess. I hate how we never get a scene that shows the general public’s perception to the kira killings and the first scene of lots of people dying from the death note is literally in a montage with a sex scene.
I think death note is the kind of series that has a lot of potential for adaptations like this because it’s a formula that can very easily be switched up and have new elements introduced to it, but this movie just didn’t do it. Oh, and it’s got some really unintentionally funny brutal death scenes.
It has come to my attention that athena asamiya’s favorite sport was officially confirmed to be lacrosse. That’s so random, who even decides these on the SNK character bios? Because whoever did is a genius
I hope SF6 ends up being similar to the thorgis arcade video in that it takes place after SF3, and Sakura has a leading role. The latter one seems a little unlikely given the presence of Luke but I do hope it happens.
Capcom arcade stadium, the beat em up bundle, and now the new capcom fighting game collection really show how capcom loves to make collections that are really charming in terms of presentation and artstyle and have good new features, but the game selection is pretty lackluster and disappointing
Found out that sega made a game that was released on the atari 2600 and in hindsight it’s not that weird given that nintendo also released some games on the system but it is weird to find out

Would people be interested in a king of fighters 16 creation thread? It won't be for a while (until at least I'm done my fourth party fighter pass thread) until I can make it but would that be a thing people are interested in? It would do characters, stages as well as story and people would be able to submit new original characters if they want to

Kof 15 is good but the lack of that many new features and lack of that much single player content is really dissapointing and it really felt like it didn’t have that many new interesting things in general.
That doesn’t sound like a big deal but it is pretty disappointing when you realize how many times it was delayed and “shatter all expectations” was literally its tagline. I’d say it was pretty much at the base-line for where my expectations were. The price tag doesn’t help at all.
Just wanna make a random profile post to shamelessly brag about extremely loose connections I have to famous people or things by like two or three degrees of seperation because no one is going to stop me if I do:
- I have a friend who has a cousin who went away to work at a game studio and pretty much constantly bragged to her about a game he worked on… turns out the game was cuphead
- I have another friend who’s mom is apparently close friends with “the person who plays darth maul.” I have no idea which person since there are apparently multiple but I guess it’s someone lol
- An old english teacher of mine said he was a fan of jackie chan before he was popular in the west and even got to meet him. Apparently jackie chan asked him a lot of questions and was really nice to him since he was trying to become more popular in the west
- The same english teacher has a female friend who went somewhere else for university. Once on campus she was approached by someone who asked her for help with his car but she declined because she was in a hurry. Sorry for the drastic tonal shift here but that was ted bundy… she was almost killed by ted bundy
- another friend of mine was on a school trip and got an opportunity to literally serve tea to queen elizabeth II since she was visiting there at the time and the class went to see her

I pre-made a whole list in the very unlikely case that someone says “oh you criticize nintendo? Name every bad thing about nintendo” and I don’t think that’s a normal thing to do should I be concerned for myself?
