I like this roster! Yes! It even features King Dedede. All too often I see him cut from fan rosters.
The next Smash Bros. offers a character design mode that allows you to create a character (do not ask me to explain how this fantasy could work efficiently), but the graphics are slightly less than Brawl quality.

Don't really like Poke Floats to begin with, so no.
You get to put any characters you want into the game. By that, I mean you have to do all the work (rights negotiations, programming, modelling, etc.) for them all by yourself.

I feel like Ganondorf would be more... palatable, aesthetically speaking, so no thank you.
Smash Bros. becomes a virtual reality game, with peripherals tailor made to accommodate each character's gameplay, but the catch is... well separate peripherals for each character.

NO. I'm not spending 150+ dollars (probably way more) on a 60 dollar game (not to mention I don't have a VR headset, so that's 1000 down the drain) just to play as the whole roster.
Press the button, Smash has a series of spinoffs that delve into fighting game territories other than platform fighters.
Don't press the button, and they become side modes within Smash that aren't nearly as fleshed out or balanced.

The next Smash Bros. is woefully worse than Ultimate in other respects, but it has large roster size of 100 characters. The game also features a bonus, online, request character, and a dedicated staff for crafting the character to your every whim. (Fantasies are allowable, yes?)

the next smash brothers game only adds obscure first parties but they're really fun to play as
I'd miss some big names, so unfortunately no.
We get Dr. Eggman as DLC...but only as a boss.

But...what if Shadow isn't fun? What if they just make him a Sonic echo? Worse, what if he has his own moveset and he's a campy zoner? I can't risk that.
The next Smash game is even better than Melee competitively, but the casual side of things is extremely lacking, with few new items and absolutely no item/Final Smash balance, and all the most fun casual stages are cut in favor of more Battlefield like stages (by that I mean, stages with no hazards and made for competitive play)

We get a port of Ultimate; if your press the button, the 4 new characters are Sora, Crash, Master Chief, and Eggman. If you don’t press the button, the characters are Waluigi, Isaac, Ashley, and Ring Fit Trainee.

I will press the button, because not only do we get Prime 4. But I am more than confident in the fact fan outcry will basically necessitate Ridleys return. And then he kills Mario, again.
If you press the button Smash Ultimate gets ported to the next console with new content.
If you don’t Smash gets semi rebooted with only 50 characters returning.
