I'm thinking of going to that regional too. Hopefully my new Marth will be decent by then.
Haha I'm flattered, TCB. But it would $800 on airfare alone, not considering housing and tournament fees. If several people want to see me go, I could look more into it.
We'll see how much I love melee after Dec. 17 tournament here in BC. There should be lotss of good videos from that tournament.

Pretty hyped that Ice is going.
Also Spam you weren't too far away from the truth, I think Armada played Falco in the finals, maybe some swede or Leffen can confirm that.

Armada played Falco because he knew he'd lose on PS and I'm also really bad vs Falco. Falco is gonna be his serious counterpick vs great fox mains on ps from now on (esp in ntsc) fyi. The majority of our fox vs Peach matches where pretty damn close and its armada, so I know for sure that he did not sandbag.

leffen, i don't see sion going toe to toe with armada as calle has done pretty often, is that cause calle plays armada alot or did at the time? i know they have a decent amount of friendlies on youtube.

Calle W is definitely 2nd best in the world at the peach matchup but he lacks a bit in some others (Sheik, Puff).

also people sleep on armadas non peach characters. i remember playing his spacies like 2 years ago in france and was impressed as hell. most americans aren't even aware of his animals

Armadas other characters are for sure at a m2k like level in certain matchups, no doubt in my mind bout that tbh

What tournament was it that Armada played Falco, and are there vids up? I only see some stuff of his Falco against Calle W...

I am of the opinion that Calle W *****. He just seems to do stuff intuitively and play really smart.
Not that Sion isn't good (he's my doubles partner, and he beat me last tournament) but I consider Calle W to be pretty well world-class. Maybe that's just because I'm always seeing his best matchup, though.

Hard to say after m2k. Maybe Taj? I Think Taj might be the best marth in some matchups, like vs Falco. Other marth's good enough to mention are Ice's marth and maybe mangos marth. Though after seeing how m2k won marth-dittoes against mango, mango's marth didn't feel like very good. But I know I know, m2k is just so beast in that matchup. It's hard to say about Ice though, because his skill level of marth has not been tested in USA. And also Ice plays lot of sheik too, sometimes fox. I think there are certain matchups were Ice won't use marth at all in tournaments, like vs. Sheik.

The tournament was this weekend, and vids were recorded. If you're feeling impatient they are already uploaded to ajp's website. Ajp will probably start uploading to YT soon though.
I'm a little mad because my bracket set vs Aniolas at that tournament doesn't seem to have been recorded even though we played on the recording setup

Vids will be up this weekend on youtube, ajp is in France atm. Me and Calle W's LF set was really hype and it included a lot of creative stuff
PP is imo the best at Falco v Peach.
He studies it more than anyone else, and even tho he doesnt have that much peach experience his style fits the match up far too well for anyone to seriously challenge him for #1.
I don't really count Mango and tbh, I don't think he'd do that well vs Armada EVEN if he played how he thinks is "the best".
I really hate talking about how well Calle W would do in america because he isnt going now and it will probably be a very long time before he goes.
I just know that I'm a fair bit better atm and I'm gonna make sure to not choke like I did at G2

I'm interested to see more of Armada's Falco, but I think it makes sense. I think PS is a nightmare for Peach against Fox.

I think the at this point it's fair to say things like this. The thing about Calle W is he seemed very good compared to Falco's world wide in 08-09. now that it's almost 012 and Falco's have stepped it up he seems to have been caught up to/passed by alot of people who seemed behind him or close to even with him. At one point I would've picked him over Dr.PP back when PP couldn't defeat Jman for example.

haha I remember seeing a Video of PP getting like 3-4 stocked by Jman on FD. U-throw to double shine near the ledge, holla at the kid XD

Yeah. During that Time I'd say Falco/Shiz were about even(many thought Slight shiz but mango played smarter). Then there was Zhu and Calle W was considered in the mix with those two and everyone else was kinda left out. Now...PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT. like 500 falcos to consider.
