I was always planning on getting a black wii but they never released it until now. I won't be getting one though. Might just get a black wii remote or that black classic controller the new design.

You're white, therefore you fail Japanese... Or at least that was the trend during my TEE year (no joke, there were like 7 white guys doing Japanese and 5 of us failed... I got 60% average, and the other guy was a freak and got like 80%... Not sure about the white girls, though - I could only see Asian girls at both the exam and the Speech day thing... OH GAWD the horror of the speech day T.T)

Black Wii, eh??? Well if it's the same price as the regular Wii I might get it Anyone got the link to the story (I can only find the UK release...)??? Plus, on that note, is the Wii region-coded??? I heard that it wasn't...

About 5 I decide to start an assignment, by 5:30 Im having a power nap.
About 6 I get a call from someone I havent seen in ages, she tells me to go outside and there she is (best way to wake up ever!)..So anyway we go for a walk, about 7:30 we head seperate ways and I remember.."****E I WAS DOING AN ASSIGNMENT" so I get home..And sleep more...

he's come off as a uh, bit of a liar even in my eyes

Who the **** runs three tests the day after an 11 o'clock dinner dance? Ugh, I feel tired as **** and I have to do tests in 3 out of 5 periods. Someone shoot me.

EDIT: Its also quite clear they're jealous of us, as Marty pointed out. Also, lol at NSW being the SoCal of Brawl. Its funny, because SoCal is meant to be these kings of fighting games, and then they lose a 5v5 SF4 game against EC by only winning one game out of 10. In the end, the area you're in is irrelevant if you can get enough high caliber practice.

Luke i think that bringing out TL only for singles was part of his tactics_ Speaking to him, i gained the impression that the East Coast didn't have too much TL experience against Sam's playstyle and he seemed to know this all too well_

I wouldn't necessarily call it sandbagging, just more clever tactics which seemed to pay off on the day_ You know Sam is sandbagging when he doesn't play Snake or TL_ Generally if he plays as TL he is playing seriously_

In my experience, and i'm being completely honest after having been in the Perth scene since Brawl's conception, I originally met Sam and assumed he was quite arrogant or shut-in_ But noticing that he gradually became a much more approachable person to talk to and hang out with it i just think it's his personality or aura_ I notice that when Sam is 'in the moment' he is very very confident and it shows and i guess you could say it comes across as arrogance_

The truth is i think you all put a massive '**** you' attitude out there at the start and he was determined to throw it back in your faces_ Next time we meet i'm sure there won't be such an awkward atmosphere_ Also Swordsaint did get kind of shutdown after his constant flamboyant bragging that he would completely decimate Sam, only to get beaten_ Everyone has some kind of arrogance_ It just depends how you use it when it comes to the crunch_

I don't really understand the Corpse bashing that seemed to be going on in some of the commentary. I personally found Sam to be a very nice, very approachable and easy to talk to guy. Any pretense of arrogance is justifiable by his immense skill anyways. You'll note when I was involved with the commentary I didn't have a bad word to say, but I imagine the others had some sort of reason for their attitude. Obviously their experiences were different to mine, but I get the feeling people's feelings were hurt or some **** when Sam ***** them.

I just think everyone's getting very defensive over something very menial... If it doesn't bother Sam that a few people over in the East Coast think he's a douche (for whatever reasons) then it shouldn't bother anyone else... We all have individual relationships with others, even within our own scenes, and therefore any problems should be rectified by the individuals themselves and not by the crowd that is associated with them... That's how gang wars get started...

Everyone (including the Perth people) should stop thinking we are using Sam as our benchmark...
Everyone that has a problem with Sam should deal with Sam directly...
Everyone that has a problem with the people who have a problem with Sam and aren't dealing with Sam directly should deal with those people directly...

Get the drift ??? I'm sure Sam's very flattered knowing that he's got fans who'll stand up for him, but really I think if it bothered him he would have at least said something Now I'm off to go and play with some fire FAAS rawx!!!

Wow, I didn't realise some (most?) people over at Rocky thought I was some sort of evil arrogant showoff. Don't get me wrong, before coming to rocky I was confident that I COULD win (not confident that I WOULD win, they are 2 different things), by no means did I mean to come off as some guy that was a master at everything and was almighty in comparison to everyone else. I don't remember calling you a bad player...ever actually. All I remember saying is that your falco is a lot less technical and developed than Vlades Falco. I dont think anyone would disagree with me on this. Anything else you may have heard from someone else isn't true and should be disregarded.

Sandbagging (as far as I view it anyway) is specific to a set of matches. I dont sandbag in the sense that when I am in a match (regardless of my character) I will try to win. You guys may view sandbagging as 'not choosing your main', thats all well and good but when I say I dont sandbag I refer to the way I play in a match regardless of my character. I think the Perth scene can verify that I dont sandbag.

The reason I didn't use TL on the first day or in friendlies is as Bsrk said, it was a tactic and clearly it worked. I didn't want people analyzing my playstyle. You'll actually notice that in the commentry of one of the videos Shaya says something along the lines of "I learnt this from Corpse's playstyle and gave tips to Tibs about it", I wanted to minimise this as much as possible.

After the tournament finished though, I was more than willing to play TL in friendlies (if time hadn't ran out), I WANTED to fight Shaya / Tedeth / whoever else that wanted to play me and I would have faced them with my TL if time allowed it. It wouldnt make any sense at all to go all the way to Rocky and then run from challenges from reputable players...it would defeat the reason why I went there in the first place.

Anyway, I had fun at Rocky, as far as I knew I didn't make any enemies, everyone was cool and fun to talk to but if people didn't like me for some reason then so be it.

You are right. I can't accurately judge your Falco until I've actually fought you when your using it. From what I've seen in videos though and from my experience with Vlade, it is my personal opinion that Vlades Falco is better.

Wait seriously what the f***. Why has this thread suddnely gone to a bashing of Sam and about him and how he sand bagged and how he was cocky or whatever.

Angry that it the bashing started from swordsaint first. As Luke said you are a bad player just live with it. I will be honest you do place well in tourneys but you are nothing compared to the the top names in Australia like Tibs, Shaya and all the others. Won't add corpse otherwise it will look like i am ignoring the east coast. The reason you didn't use falco on him was because Corpse vs's the top falco in Australia which is Vlade. This is clear and straightforward. After Rocky you have become more :/ and disapointed in yourself swordsaint be the normal swordsaint not the grumpy one. I will admit now that i am a bad player aswell. Surley i know how power shield and how to play my character well but i am no way near where people like tibs are and thats a fact. I don't think there even is a way to become better then someone who is better then you. You may be able to do it in some sports like Boxing but in Brawl i have found out that if one player is constantly beating you, you will never be able to be better then that player unless the other player quits playing or starts hating the game and not trying.

And all this who is better then who talk that goes on from time to time people need to be honest and just say it straight out there. Like how i said Vlade is the best Falco in Australia i actually ment that.

But seriously we hold these big events to have fun and vs new and diffrent people not to get angry at one person or hate them. None of us have bashed any certain person in the east. The only time we went crazy was when sam won rocky but that was all.

Swordsaint is a bad player for people that play Brawl at a way higher level then him.
