:yoshi: YouTube is being a huge suchandsuch right now.

I will assume, however, that Mikey still plays Peach and that you're using Yoshi.

Scala, no lies. Triple upsmash at 0%. You should definitely use it.

P.S. - Okay, it's working now. :D

P.P.S. - WOW @ DOUBLE EGGS OFF THE LEDGE!! Scala, please don't ever do that unless you have a VERY good reason to. Still watching. I'll come back with more in a bit.

P.P.P.S. - Okay, you're doing a fairly decent job of learning what works and what doesn't after one or two tries. You stopped the double eggs. You also stopped getting hit by jab to grab very early, which is great. It seems, overall, that just some of the move choices you make at times aren't the best ones you could be making in terms of trading damage and keeping yourself safe.

P.P.P.P.S. - Notice how I'm using the Edit function instead of quintuple posting. Just for you. <3

P.P.P.P.P.S. - Wow, this Peach is awesome combo bait. DEFINITELY use that triple upsmash at 0%, he floats at the PERFECT height for it. Also, you get a few opportunities every now and then to force airdodges into the ground capitalize with pivot or standing grabs. You tried punishing with forward smash, but you don't have the timing on it yet, so in the meantime, use grabs to frustrate and build on additional damage.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. - Okay, last two things. First, be very careful using forward air off the edge. It's very much a "commitment" move and doesn't protect you very well. Try using more back and neutral airs instead and see if you don't have more success coming off of the edge. Finally, stop momentum canceling with down air, LOL. Use up air. Much faster. And while your DI on the neutral airs is PRO, try going a little more to the vertical on some of these other hits you're taking. I think this is the best I've seen you play if I'm not mistaken. Getting much better. YES @ RED YOSHI

what is this triple upsmash you're talking of

also I usually do catch people with the fsmashes on landing I just missed that one time :/

also double egg is pro there is no reason not to use it. Opponents often fall into the rhythm of regular ledgetosses but you throw a double in there and the second hits more often than not

also maybe you haven't used fair off the ledge much but eggtoss to bait spotdodges -> spike them onto the stage so they bounce up -> free uair. People try to chase me off the stage and get spiked while I'm returning as well, it's something you should try using

finally do you play IaMP? There are videos of someone named shiri and that'd be cool if it wa you

At 3:50 of Airborne vs Rofa on lylat airborne stopped the tornado with Down b start up.

Remember this, if spaced well enough you can punish a very common move used by mk.

(I didn't know this before hand, im just making it known)

:yoshi: Triple upsmash is just what it sounds like.

When Peach tries to float at you when she's at 0%, just upsmash to tie with her down air and then upsmash twice more.

And when I said "forward air off the edge" I mean when you're recovering, not offensively. Your offensive offstage game is pretty fun, but like, when you get pressured on the edge, I notice you resort to forward air a lot and it just kinda leaves you really unprotected.

And I do play IaMP, but I doubt videos online are of me.

What is the 2nd usmash supposed to do, cancel as well and the third's supposed to hit? I really can't see this working out well

Well, seeing how my video is about to be lost in the sea of posts, I want to thank Delta and lil_b for the feedback. I'll try to work on those things in the future, and with any luck, my next tourney results will have me cracking the top 8.

*fades into obscurity once again*

Finished my second combo vid, its uploading to filefront right now. Stupid youtube silenced it for copyright crap and i refuse to put it up without sound. I'll make a youtube worthy one later.

Looking forward to it Bwett, there isn't really any vids of the current top of Yoshis game. Also, I was thinking of making a combo video and this will give me a good idea of the kind of footage I need for it.

Now I don't play Yoshi and I think this is my first tme in the Yoshi boards, so don't jump on me if this is known. I stumbled upon this watching some Japanese smash videos and wondered if it was known here.

That's Karamity, we've seen that video before. Please lurk our threads more or search our video archives before posting someone else's video :)

Yep, enjoy! =D
Great video Bwett. The DownB tricks were amazing, I'll be sure to take more advantage of slopes in future. There were parts where the opponants just sat there and let it happen, but then again, its a combo video.

Yea bwett. I really like your mix ups.

At 5:40 you looked like you were going to approach with bair, but you double jumped and nair. That was mazin'. And all the times you went behind them and egg layed, too good. More yoshi's need to do that.

Nice video, Bwett. You're always an inspiration. :) :) :)

Well, in line with a personal decision to stop posting solely in the regional zones boards, I've decided to post a couple videos of my Yoshi here. I'm from Kansas, so there is a fair amount of competition in the area. I've only got a modest amount of videos recorded, but I'll get more once I head back for school. :)

BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Joker (Snake) - At NO KOAST, the tournament at which I met and played Bwett.
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Clel (Marth) R1
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Clel (Marth) R2
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Clel (Marth) R3 - Saddest ending ever. :(
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Mr. Doom (Ike) R1
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Mr. Doom (Ike) R2
BoJangles (Yoshi) vs. Mr. Doom (Ike) R3

There are a lot of things that need to be incorporated into my game. Post your thoughts; I'm betting they line up with my own. :)

BoJangles. The name makes me giggle.

Good to have you here, now for critiquing time...

Vs. Snake: You Standing grabbed often, which is a pretty bad way to grab. The way it looked like you were using it a quick pivot grab would have been better for defense. On your first stock you looked like you were trying too hard for the kill when Snake hit the 200% mark, which let him punish you. You really can't aim for the kill against Snake, because he's Snake. I'm not sure how to word it, but your kills have to be tricky or gay, lol. You really tore apart that third stock though, nice.

I'll watch the others when I'm less lazy. XD
