Kaze i think, just from looking at his pool thats the only one that would make sense (since the Meta seemed decent).

Not to sound like a ****, but am I the only one who thought Bwett wasn't playing very well in those matches?

He may not have been playing well, but his off days are still better than my on days.

I was playing like trash that day, no doubt. I should've gotten much further in tourney.
Happens to us all sometimes.
I remember I went to a tourney a few months ago and decided it would be good to drink a can of Red Bull before playing...
That turned out to be very unwise. "Helps concentration"!? Yea, right.

One can of beer does the trick for me. Calms me down and keeps me in a good mood.

So I just got to watching those two matches of mine from Genesis, and I disagree with you Auroreon. The first match I played the matchup spot on, in my opinion. The second match, I messed up a few times, but still was fine. I'm curious, what makes you think I am playing bad in those matches? I would enjoy a critique =)

I definitely should have gone further in the tourney. I mean, seriously, I get in a 3-way tie for 3rd in my pool and instead of letting us play it out, they randomly chose one of us. What kind of sh** is that? I played a lot of people that got into the bracket and I beat about half of them... I know I could have gotten in the top 50 along with you Bwett. But, whatever. If Genesis happens again next summer, I'll be back and stronger.

Well, we'll never know if I could have gotten top 50. I think Bwett got 49th or something close to that. I did play Valdens (I think that's his name...) later after he got knocked out and I beat him 3 matches in a row. Had it been tournament matches instead of friendlies, he probably would have played smarter/better so I don't know if I could have beaten him in a tournament setting. But I did beat a few people who did place top 50, so if I had gotten a good bracket placement, it could have happened. Regardless, I will not be defeated so easily next time.

Friendlies dont mean anything. That is all.

I can beat havok in friendlies, he got 13th at genesis.
Does that mean i woulda placed top 13?

Maybe XD lol jk

I have a tournament match from spain but i was playing sloppy so i dunno if i should post it. Lots of good stuff but lots of bad too. hmm

Yup, that's the way to play meta, that's how i play him too, somewhat similar at least wait for mk to approach(most of the times), man i need to record some matches against NJ metas ;D
You live in Jersey? Where?

Haven't been around much folks-- got married.

I'll try to update it when I get a bit of time.
You wha? Congrats. I'd make some sort of joke here but nah, marriage is too cool for one of my jokes. Luck and happiness for the future!

Hey would any of you be willing to rate my Yoshi?!?

I got these recorded from a low-tier tournament I participated in this weekend. Let me know what you think.

Also how is Yoshi supposed to fight Samus? I just couldn't get through the wall of z-airs and missles. And it seems like shielding is a bad idea because of how long it takes Yoshi to get out of shield....

This is me failing facing a really good Samus....

Well, how to fight against Samus.

A) Pray the Samus isn't very good at camping.
B) Pray you don't ever face a Samus.

But in all seriousness, Samus is a really bad MU for Yoshi. Getting inside the wall is incredibly difficult, but after you make it in, you can do some real damage back to Samus. There's a summary on the MU, let me get you the link.

Edit: Watched the first three videos. I like your playstyle, it's quick and fun looking. However, you play punishably often because you get very aggressive. Sometimes you're use Fair while recovering, like in the match against Jigglypuff. Fair can be a good tool when you're going for the gimp, but doing a rising fair while recovering leaves you VERY open, and if you get hit out of it, you're stuck without a double jump. You got caught offstage without your double jump too often, which led to a lot of damage taken.

You also get TOO aggressive at times, and approach when you don't need to. Also, while being juggled or returning to the stage fro above, you always seem to be trying to attack the opponent, instead of just attempting to get back to the stage.

Yeh I know I am much too aggressive. I often find myself in the middle of an attack and I think, wow I should be throwing eggs right now... but that is ok I guess. I really have to work on my recovery, I am waaaaay to predictable. But I'm new to Yoshi so I can work on that.

My favorite combo ever is b-air to u-tilt to pivot grab. I get it all the time too.

Please more people critique! I want you opinions.

Ok:
1. You are very very predictable. I was literally calling out your spotdodges. You also approach very straight fowardly, just run right in and aerial.
NOOOO DONT DO THAT!!!!

2. More SHAD, its good vs samus, instead of running in and attacking.

It wasnt tooo bad, just super predictable.

basically what mr burntsocks said, and u seemed not to have the intent to dodge when u approached and he punished u because he new u were gonna apporach with dash attack or grab or jump and nair. u got him a couple time when u paused and attacked. you kept good pressure on him in the air but u cant do the same when samus is on the ground. also you dont need to shield attacks that are not going to hit u
i noticed a couple time there missles coming at u that wouldnt hit u if u moved forward and u would have been inside with samus instead i kno its a reaction to shield or spot dodge when a projectile is coming ur way but it wont help if u shield all of them. u did pretty guud tho otherwise

That Yoshi was extremely impressive. He plays similarly to you Bwett with a few tweaks in his game. Oh yeah, Bwett, I sent DPhat a message, but I'll be coming down for Hobo18 and I'm bringing a friend with me so we need a place for 2. I'd rather stay with you and DPhat since I know you guys. DPhat said he'd ask the guy who's housing you guys but that was a couple days ago and I haven't heard back. You got any info on it?

Imma leave this here:

Go easy on me. I was extremely limited with the amount of clips I had. These were all from just random clips saved on my Wii from matches that were under 3-minutes so I had only about 40ish matches to choose from.

I dont know why you think that Dragndorf guy is good lol.
Just because the D3 player was too bad to punish eggs from like right in front of him doesnt make him good.
The egg lays were predictable, he just spammed and the D3 player though that he had to play rush down or something.
