Much less sh dair unless those were messed up DR's. Also just from looking at your DR's it seems you're using them for flashiness more than for spacing.

^What Metatitan said. I'm also assuming those were messed up DRs.

You did pull off some nice moves, though. Especially against Dude. The ending was awesome. :bee:

I said bash, not critique
You use DR in places where a pivot grab would have been far superior. You think that just because you use DR that makes f smash safe to just throw out. You have no camp game. You've started to use egg lay which is good but you should use it a little more. You need to play better people. Better?

Just another day.
Name one moment I said Fsmash is safe when using DR. I said that it makes it somewhat easier to land, and I'll follow my own opinion thank you. All the good people left early anyways, so no one better than me was still there.

You never said anything about making it safe. I saw that on the footage, it was pretty easy to see.

Were you tired in those matches, because it seemed to me like you just didn't put much effort in or were too tired. Like others have said, DR was used when it wasn't needed and then other times when it would have been good you didn't use it.
I don't think its really fair to judge you on those matches though, as I know you are a far better player than what is shown there.

Yeah. I had my hardest backet (had to **** all through losers after losing my second round match) to just get to 9th (and I had no breaks). I'ma state that I was mad tired when playing them.

We need more Yoshi videos in Samuelson's thread.
who cares about that thread if someone wants yoshi vids they can come here

edit: I don't like judging a player by a vid. That is one match or set against one match-up and you never know if they had a bad day or not. I don't mind critiquing people off of vid though

It was only a suggestion, to get more people to see good Yoshi players.

But fine, I could care less.

Samuelson's thread isn't about judging a player in any way, its merely meant to be a helpful resource showing what each character is capable of when played at the top of the current metagame.

well...... matches of me from this past saturday are up now... T_T
vs. Rofa (Pink MK): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4k3Uge4J6k
vs. Capem (Pink MK): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTOjqMkV034

ill post up more as they come.

critique the **** out of me. idc. i kinda already see what i'm doing wrong at every moment and how to fix it. i just can't do it at that very instance...
vs rofa you got 3stocked on your counterpick stage. what happened?

you mustof thought that the grab will just shut down MK and you spammed it like crazy and got you got ***** instead. When you did grab him, you didn't do anything with it. Either you chaingrabbed him to the ledge, let him grab release and tried to throw and egg at him (why????) when you could have done 1 less grab and gotten a free upsmash off. At least if you're on the edge _actually throw him_ to get some damage off.

i wasn't in the mood to play at that point. i was trying to get him out of my face, so i started throwing eggs as he was offstage.

It looked like you were fighting in orange wifi. It seemed like you had very little control over your yoshi and that your reactions were incredibly slow.

some more vids of me in pools:
vs Kiest (1st Round Robin):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUybiduSSvY <--Part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-dwcctY7d0 <--Part 2
vs Glov (1st Round Robin): <--- Was in bad mood at this point, especially since he chose his character AFTER we struck stages and I didn't do anything about it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZIzpU4WeMQ <-- Part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_lMcY9iMD8 <-- Part 2

The bottom 3 people were in a complete tie, so we had to do another round robin to see who would take 4th seed:
vs Glov (2nd Round Robin):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpILSJ4L5Dw <-- Part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wYTFdoXR1g <-- Part 2

i'll link the 2 set against the kiest when it's uploaded, but you can tell my before and after mood somewhat between the 2 sets.... oh, and there was this ******* that wouldn't shut the **** up and was trying to backseat coach Glov during the second set, so I had a very hard time tolerating that... Mr. Eric trash talked him near the end of the set though so that helped me some. XD

1st Match: On his first stock you grabbed him when he was at around 120%. You should have just waited for the grab release and uair'd him instead of throwing him. The uair is guaranteed, so he would have died. You also got a bit too aggressive with grabs on the first stock and got punished for it. I liked how you dair'd him when he was landing from a missed PKT2. I'm gonna do stuff like that now.

2nd Match: You ***** his 1st stock. XD You worked him well with eggs and grabs. You played the entire match well, really. The Ness didn't look like he was playing that well this match.

Also, we never got our Ike vs. Yoshi matches in. We gotta play sometime. XD

The grab release to Uair never occured to me. >_< I should keep that little trick in mind, because that will make KOing a lot easier for me in the future. That Dair was fun, but I was irked at how poorly I reacted to the majority of his missed PKT2s. And I think he had pretty much decided that I was going to take the set by the second stock of the third match (the second match wasn't recorded; it was me beating him again on Pictochat), so he may not have been playing 100%.

I agree with the Ike vs. Yoshi matches. I am a little bit sick of Brawl at the moment though...the tournament went from 10 am to about 11:30 pm. >_<

So, what I've gathered from my time away is that it has become fashionable to dislike good Yoshis, and that apparently Bigman is on his period.

This isn't a crygasm thread, this is a video thread. If y'all don't start getting along I'm going to turn all of your links into embarrassing videos about cats or half-naked dudes.

Wow. So much Karamity bashing. Don't you think we should try to support him considering he's the only Yoshi player in Japan? o_O

Speaking of bad, is anybody else willing to offer any input to the matches I just posted? I'm certain there's more I need to work on than what's been mentioned. =3

:005:
Just a few little things.

Edge guard more. Throw less eggs when your close. Throw more eggs when you are far. And sometimes you got grab happy.

Try not to get to get grabby but still grab. :dizzy:
