Congrats, Ben. I'm on my way to a tournament next Saturday myself, and it's the third tournament I'll have ever entered, lol. I'm not sure that I know how to prepare, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'll be more than willing to take them. Hopefully, I can test some of my vs Puff ideas, and get some more perspective on situational things (and not falling into Falco's dumb utilt for the 12190849019th time).

all i can say shrouded is dont get nervous lol idk if u get tournament jitters tho, i did for my first few tournies. also dunno if anyone like roots against u or anything but if so i can give some advice on that =P

What do u mean prepare? Do u mean day of prep or leading up to the tourney prep?

If u mean leading up it depends on if u have someone to train with, if so i suggest meeting up with them at least once. If u r by yourself what i like to do is just practice quick fcs across the stage on a dummy (while doing this try switching up what attack u r using. So maybe fc bair to fc bair to fc nair to fc up air. Just so u can get use to changing quickly if u have to), and practice other movements just so day of the tourney u can feel confident in your ability to control your character.

If u mean day of, i would say get good sleep, show up a little early for friendlies, try to ether not get nervous or deal with/control your nerves the best u can, also i personally like taking a 5 hour energy b4 tourneys. And remember that even if u lose try to learn something and improve yourself

Ok so dsmash on shield is super punishable. I wasn't able to jab Leffen out of his wdash oos at all and got ****ing ***** for it. I just came back from a tournament in Paris, I lost 3-1 to Ice and 3-2 to Leffen. I'm salty

Yeah I was playing with trail yest and he was cycling thru some characters. Marth can rising fair OoS if he doesn't get poked, i found that annoying. Generally i'm still finding it hard to not get shield grabbed, and my practice partners grab me a lot when I jab.

The jab doesn't usually work for me when I try to stop a Fox from wding oos either.

I didn't agree with this "5 days ago" and saw it in practice vs leffen and ice, it lost me the sets.

Haven't you quit the game? Do you still come on here just to act like a queeny little ***** to make yourself feel good or are you actually interested in offering advice?

Also I think my match with Leffen had player cam recordings. If it did you'll see me try to finish the match at 2-1 to him with dtilt to usmash on FD. It didn't work and then he tried to come back. When I hit my final Dsmash I did some ridiculous camp "get out of here" hand movement.

I hope I get to see that...
