VaNz Stuff.. about Peach (Tactical Discussion)

yo so i was playing some friends today, and one of then was using some marth. so its a friendly so i was trying not to camp to hard and be kinda aggressive, and i would lose but they were close. but then i got pissed off b/c it seemed everytime he picked marth the random sent us to yoshi's and i knew if would be able to beat him anywhere else. so after getting kinda pissed next time i was up to play i asked him to go marth and told him i was going to play the match to win. I camped the living daylights out of this guy and won no problem, what was funny is the whole match he kept saying stuff like "o my god this is so annoying u r camping so much". anyway to cut this story off it felt good. camping marth is kinda fun

Ok, so I think I hate Marth. No, I'm fairly sure I do. Him, Sheik, and Fox give me the most problems right now.

Versus Sheik, I know I was dropping easy edgeguards, but against Marth, I have NO idea what I can do "better," aside from maybe just camp the hell out of him. But I'd rather not. So, if anyone could look at these and give me critique (the more detailed, the better, but I'd like any words of wisdom, really), I would insanely appreciate it. Please and thank you. <3

hmm against Marth I think you need to use more turnips period. Rather it be to approach him or to have another option when he is spacing moves out of your shield (I love throwing turnips oos against marth).

I loved your dtilt combos though. <3

For how much that guy likes to FJ above you, I really think you could have gotten away with a lot more WD back d-tilt / d-smash, dash dance --> dash attack, and even some shenaniganry with up smash.

The big thing that I'm noticing is that you seem to move very automatically. You're not watching him, really. It's almost like you're just throwing moves out. Try to read him more, watch him more.

Your movement is somewhat stiff. Practice being more fluid, and faster.

I think you're pulling too many turnips when he's on those platforms. They just aren't doing anything. Try blocking his routes along platforms with aerials (nair/uair/bair). When he's not on platforms, they're fine, I think.

I think something important to remember is this MU is that you have to keep moving. Try to not let yourself get pinned down in one spot, cause he's really fast and WILL corner you if you don't keep moving. You need to move more. And watch how you land vs Fox. Usmashes aren't nice to us.

Also, he loved his bair. Try dash attacking under that, or he's full jump bairing, see if you can get a uair under him to start something.

Idk If I'm just getting worse and worse with Peach, but I have this new playstyle that's very dependent on turnip initiation.

It's borderline brawl status camping, and I don't like it :(

Since my controller broke (the day before Apex D:) i just can't do all the stuff that I used to. And it really shows in my Apex matches. Nothing's changed since then and the only way I can keep my peach even semi competitive is with unreasonable amounts of camping.

lol.. the funny thing is my video has been finished for like.. over a year now. I just can't find the right music to sync it with. I found ONE song that i'm truly satisfied with. Maybe a second. After I find enough music to match the length of the vid, It should take about another 2 hrs of editting and it will be ready to go.

Also, I have like basic editting skills and i'd like to find a good editor to help me with it a bit before final release. Can't just throw up anything in today's Combo vid meta.

So.. we'll see :D

but ya, i need ideas. nothing gaga, or super girly. Just cuz it's peach doesn't mean barbie girl needs to be playing in the bg :D

well.. as much as I like inappropriate stuff, I'm going to have to decline on this. Though, it'd made me think of a VERY funny episode of South Park.

This is the kind of thing I've been struggling with for a long time. I am EXTREMELY selective when it comes to choosing for my combo vid. It's going to be a while before i am completely satisfied with it :(

I've been using a lot more peach lately in friendlies. She used to be one of my worst relevant chars but now she's probably in my top 6. =)
