i feel like peach is screwed because her wavedash to the ledge sucks and most other ways to grab the ledge are telegraphed. puff is not invulnerable though, especially if you abuse turnips.

Sheik has an enormous window of invincibility so it wouldn't affect her. It might be able to stop puff I suppose.

I play for both teams.
If you could get to the White Plains train station, I could modify my route slightly to pick you up there. Its actually right on the way to the venue (like a little more than halfway from my house to Nanuet). I'd just be taking 684 instead of 117. Alternately I could pick you up there the night before if you are cool with crashing at mystery scrub's house. That would make it a little easier for you in terms of not needing to do as much traveling the day of the tourney.Veril - I live in North Jersey

A while back I asked Cape whether Sheik's ledgestall was like perfect planking in brawl and he said no, that you can wavedash to the edge with the right timing (or moonwalk edgehog maybe). I'm not sure whether that holds true for peach but I don't see why not.
But really, "just pull turnips" seems like the best solution.

@SB: Peach's WD is long enough. You can WD FF to regrab the ledge after her <100 getup attack. That's far enough IMO.

Would it be practical to do a ground-float bair toward the ledge and ledge-cancel it? I don't know how easy that is to do on purpose but it'd be a safe approach, wouldn't it?

i recently lost to a samus and i'm trying to get more matchup knowledge on it.
Basically I approached with FH turnip throw to fc Fair but she would just shield it and Up B OOS or WD back to punish. it was kind of hard to approach him with anything near the ground because of the missiles and the ftilt outranges everything. I can kind of edgeguard and stuff. So if you guys can tell me anything you know about this matchup that would be great!! thanks!!

^ try overshooting your aerials, also mix them up dont just use fair, like a falling weak nair or bair to dsmash. he can cc it, but mixing it up should help, esp as higher percents. sometimes empty floating is fine too, they might get anxious and ftilt/utilt/missle, and try to punish that on reaction with a fair. the biggest thing is to know when and how much time u have when samus's moves end so u can punish it. idk i always have to play that mu a little more patiently than most, have to react to them. nothing wrong with spamming turnips to get a reaction, and its pretty easy to dodge missles forever as long as its not stadium lol. oh, i guess baiting and punishing upb oos is good to, like if u fair and expect him to do it spotdodge as a mixup.
other than that i guess it really seems samus playstyle dependent. i havent really watched much duck videos so idk (im guessing thats who ur talking about)

haha np, glad i could help. a couple other things i forgot to mention:
-for edgegaurding, turnips are pretty much key. especially when samus is recovering low, it's quite possible for them to never come back. try to hit them or at least the bombs ofc, but also time the throws, dont just spam. know where samus "lands" in the air after they do a bomb, and aim for that right after they plant it. like, try jump throwing, or smash throwing, or simple throwing (like just pressing A) to get diff throw distances. um sometimes if theyre really far away i float or dbl jump all the way out to hit them with a turnip, as long as u dont get to close. Also, if theyre far enough that it looks like theyre gonna spot dodge zair to recover, wait for the spot dodge and intercept with a turnip or falling aerial. Dair to nair (back up a little so only the dair hitbox is touching the ledge, not ur body) along the edge of the stage is very useful when they try to upb, as even if they sweetspot the ledge i think itll hit sometimes or something.

I use Nair with the intention of trading with Fox's aerials. I never really expect to beat him out completely (although it does happen occasionally) but trading is enough to throw him out of position. The only trick to my timing is that i want to get the strong hit on him so I when I see he's committed to approaching, I just throw out a Nair and hope for the best.
