:( I was really excited, cause I thought you'd beat him first match (and I despise Falcon).

But why do you DI Falcon's throws up? Isn't it better to DI them down and away, to avoid followups?

Eh, probably because they expect you to go away and then they go for it and you're above them.

Does anyone (Veril?) know for sure if and when parasol oos is a better choice than nair oos?

I used it on pepito because he used full jumps dair approaches a lot with falco on FD. I was thinking, I can't beat this out and I don't really want to block. I guess no one good would really do it though.

basically, when whatever you're dealing with has massive downward priority, you can beat it out with a brolly.

I feel as if it doesnt matter.

Falcon's should be reacting to your DI, not trying to predict. Theres nothing Peach can do about down throw --> follow up.

While I agree with Alan in that Falcon should be good enough to do it, there's no reason to make life easy for them. Make them jump through hoops to get that kill. If you can catch them getting complacent, or expecting a certain DI (rather than reacting to it), you might save that stock (and enough saved stock can win a match!). And it costs nothing to do on your part, so why not?

I generally think whatever DI puts you closest to the middle of the stage is best for the throw. You have a better chance of surviving the Knee that way. Platforms and other business obviously change this, however.

I always thought, at least, that DI down and away was harder to react to for them than up. But I'll start mixing that up and see what happens. Anything I can do to put Falcons in their place is fine by me.

If Fox is FJ Dairing for pressure, I find his Dair has this annoying habit of beating my Nair for some inexplicable reason. So I use the umbrella. It seems reasonable, although if I could just make my Nairs use their full potential this wouldn't be necessary :embarrass:

My guess would be New Orleans. I am fairly sure Teczero has never been to West Africa. Haiti is possible, but I am doubtful he's been to the Caribbean.

Did he use New Orleans voodoo, or the Haitain or West African variety? This information is relevant to my interests.

I find it's just very situational, not that there are many situations where umbrella straight up beats out the nair oos as a great option. I just find that sometimes it's ok, or if you're being pressured so effectively that you can only think to umbrella out.

What should you do in the doc matchup. I really suck at it. More information than what Vanz's post gives would be helpful. My cc'ing doesn't work and pills make it hard for me to approach with bair.

approach under his pills. or from above. you lose the projectile war, so get near him and make him feel uncomfortable. you can't really combo doc, he's kind of like jigglypuff. just go in and **** him up with your better moveset, and never let off the pressure. i'm pretty bad at giving advice but i hope you know kind of what i mean. lol

LOL, Doh. He's probably got access to other drugs/supplements, too, so that makes sense.

Uh...Doc...floating doesn't really work over his pills, so I guess go under him. Once you get close, you have no reason to let him go. DI HIS DOWN THROW BEHIND HIM OR YOU WILL GET FAIRED AND IT WILL NOT BE FUN. Crap kills at dumb percents. And DI his uairs down and away, cause they combo really well. And keep in mind that his forward smash is also dumb.

Just spam bair against Doc, it works. You can bair through pills, or nair, or uair, or dair trolololololol.

You dont have to approach Doc, make him approach you, then just bair him all day. Shield pressure is key against Doc cuz all he can do is roll, or up-b outta shield (which sucks on every stage but yoshis)

And Ding behind him isnt enough, you need to spam nair as well because Doc can just pivot fair you.

Also, never be caught below his jump height without your 2nd jump because Doc can edgeguard the **** outta Peach. Recover high as well because you can be caped in the middle of your up-b animation and spiked.

I think so, choknater, but I'm not sure.

Even with all of our aerials, can we just destroy pills until they have to approach? What if the Doc is REALLY patient? I don't wanna sit there for 8 minutes bairing pills, and then realize I have 8% more than Doc and lose (though I don't think that's a possibility).

i think approaching doc is possible, i think what alan was saying is you can't just run towards him from full stage. but inching toward him with high priority bair is fine, until you can get into a position to shield pressure him.

doc wins the mid range, but peach wins the close range
