hell YES the best thing to do is talk to friends and laugh at youtube noobs.

and I was actually going to talk to you about that comment. *****es definitely disrespecting the MacDre.

edit: omg I HATE when people talk about how Peach vs ICs is an easy win. I'd like to see those skank hoes beat Fly with Peach   also, why didn't he go Sheik vs you?

think he wanted to try IC's, beat me first round, was losing 2nd round but pulled it through, and i think he realized i kinda figured him out and stopped being a *******, so he decided since i didn't ban dk64 that he would just camp me there with sheik since i don't think he's ever lost that to me before that

Yeah, all of the youtube comments on my hax/hbox set are like, you should have left if it up to Wobbles, when a) I asked if Rob wanted me to take it, and b) Rob took 2 stock in 3 matches off hbox in their set and Hbox said I play that matchup better than Armada.

"Why?" is an extremely important question. In my local community we have so many players with reasonable or decent potential but it's largely squandered because they lack the ability to consider why something is occurring. Or, if they do, it's always so riddled with a terrifyingly consumptive self-serving bias it's almost more damaging than if they just accepted it without thinking about it.
Would you mind explaining the self serving bias part, KirbyKaze? I'm not sure I understand.

I have a bad habit the other way, which is focusing on how bad am I, which is also not good. But YouTube can be a very depressing place if you take the comments even a little seriously. And I think I saw a few matches of MacD vs Darc where he did well, but I have yet to see a Peach own a Jiggs. I just don't think it happens.

They'll do something over and over and over again thinking it's good when it's really horrible and get it to work once (despite being punished for it like 11 times) and then think it's a good strategy. And they'll think they got it to work as a result of mindgames or their own skill and not just because the opponent got bored and tried to muscle through it instead of continuing to play around it (unlike the 11 previous times).

Stuff like that.

I see. Willful ignorance. I get it now. I think that a good number of people underestimate the importance of "Why?" in a game like this. That changes a lot of things.

hey guys, i have a serious question.

how do you guys deal with failure, especially when u know it was something u were capable of overcoming? long story short, it was my goal to make it to r3 pools at g2, my first national ever, but i lost an important set in an incredibly stupid way (e.g. suiciding when all i had to do was grab the ledge...). i thought i got over it, but when i see vids of the r3 pool i wouldve been in, i keep thinking how much more experience and possible improvement i wouldve gotten had i been able to play in r3, and it really gets to me. not so much just that getting to r3 would prove to myself where i am skillwise, but more so losing the opportunity to play good players that i wont be able to for a long while and to learn from them.

has anyone been in a similar situation before, and if so, how have u dealt with it? or if not, any advice on how to keep things in perspective? thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Pokemon Theme Song.

Just gotta keep going. It sucks now, but just keep training, keep your chin up, and keep trying. There will always be another "Next big tournament" so don't look at this as the end. You almost made your goal this time; next time you got this. Then set a higher goal.

My thoughts after genesis. I was seriously grumpy I didn't make 3rd round, but then I decided to play some captain falcon and think about how I've got 6 months till apex and how good I'll be when that comes around.
The best advice I can give is keep a clear head. It's hard to just be like "Well, I just won't think about it", but it's a real asset to have in tournament matches. Getting upset will do you no favors in a competitive setting. From your face and body language, no one should be able to tell if you just beat mango or got 4 stocked by supermarthking2323.

SWF adds spaces if you do too much stuff in a row. For example:

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

funny how this thread degrades into spam and fabulousness so quickly

edit: VaNz ninja posted me and now I'm scared.

To be on topic, I tried out PAL version Peach vs Sheik and that match up is like a dream now holy **** Euro Peaches have it easy.

absolutely incorrect

it's more like 99:1

or realistically

65:35 but that might just be me being biased about how dumb Fox is.
