I just read a few posts and I decided to just say my peace and let it be done with.
I came here to support ECRC and support Chibo. I also came to hang out with friends and finally meet some people. Overall I had a good time despite the issues. Crismas made a lot on the stickers and we all had some great laughs. AlphaZealot is mad chill and OBM taught me some kewl things to do with GW. I will never regret going here only because of the experience I had.
With that being said...
When it really comes down to it, like Raffy said, it is easier for people to blame everyone on one person. It is human nature to do so. Now am I saying Chibo did not make mistakes? No. What I am saying is that many factors occurred. I can point fingers just like most of you had but that is really not the point of this post. My main point is that we need to move on and continue to further our community.
The point when I saw chibo in a campus police truck getting driven home made me realize a lot. The main thing is that Chibo is a good kid. I had my issues with him but overall he really does have a kind heart and I am assured that what happened was not done on purpose. In tournament hosting if you are not prepared for the worst it can possibly overwhelm you. I also know , at the same time, everyone was upset with this and were cursing him out outside. While you may have the absolute right to do that, seeing him walk to the truck changed my view on it.
Imagine you made a mistake and you hurt someone, or some people that mean a lot to you. Better yet, you let down people for whatever reason. Think about that and put yourself in his shoes. In my real life experience I can say I have had that happen to me , to a lesser extent, and it breaks you up inside. Now I am assuming Chibo has nothing but apologies for what happened and for me I will STILL CONTINUE TO ATTEND HIS TOURNAMENTS as long as he hosts them.
Most of you know what Me ( alex strife ), DmBrandon, and SamuraiPanda said outside and it still holds true. There are more tournaments in the East Coast and we should focus on the positives, compared to, the negatives of this event. We cannot change it at this point, only, work towards a better community future.
Once the results thread is updated I will post my shoutouts and I suggest everyone should do the same.
