good stuff, alot of really risky fist hit nair stuff that could have gotten you killed but it worked, nice job

i really liked your b reverse shield breaker usage, i'm stealing it :D

just fyi the back side of dair beats dks up b at any point of his jump, so dk should never be recovering vs you (unless you whiff but it's not hard to do unless you're really nervous)

replace aerial db with f-air, or nothing.

adjust to shields more by grabbing, not jab/aerial mixup. this is to make your jab/aerial mixup game less 'known' by the opponent by choosing guaranteed punishment options (such as grab when they're shielding).

you have a dodging habit when you're shielding and your back is to the opponent, just keep it in mind.

it's like... you have really good spacing/options for a while then you do something irrational and you die (ex. the u-air on the first match with trela, the d-air on the second match).

on SV I would ALWAYS wait for the platform or for trela to come close and do something before you climb on as it gives you more options. that n-air w/ bad DI on getting counter attacked was really obvious and it actually costed you a game where you had momentum for the second half of the match.

also, you need to learn how to break out so you have good DI while you're trying to break out. most of your death's are from bad DI/SD's. death percent is where most comebacks happen in Brawl, so it's paramount that you learn how to survive.

you also use the platform cancel every time or almost every time, sometimes you should fake it then ff buffer dash forward and do something since they expect you to be up there (as trela punished you for it from the first time).

-

both of you have really good marth's and i learned a few things so thanks

also trela has pretty beastly tech skill. so many tech's/ps's

edit: wow at last second posting of a video -
You have good control of Marth and have some really nice mixups. FYI: you can beat this Snake by standing around and waiting for him to mess up then air juggle him. He'll probably rage and it's a "cheap" way to beat him but w/e it'll force him to get better.

I think both of you attack too much. This game is mostly about positioning and punishments. Try shielding more and punishing with f-air/db oos and you'll see what I mean. Especially since both of you don't really grab that much.

I also think your spacing could be better. You just don't have the right spacing a lot of the time and are mostly unsafe with your movement/attacks (which is why it seems like you're both just beating up on each other).

Understand ranges where the opponent does certain moves and adjust to them, that's all I can really say about that. It's an experience thing so just keep playing more and thinking about how you can win by larger margins and it'll come naturally I think.

Try to attack him more when he uses upB. He can't airdodge out of it, and there were several instances in that match where he simply went right over your head (you don't HAVE to spike him, you can at least Fair and come out a few % ahead).

I'm hoping to get someone to record some stuff for me so I can upload some matches between me and Chair's Wario. Since Chair lives like 10 minutes away from me I can play him as much as I like. :3

I didn't get to finish, because I'm heading to college, but I'll post what I got to so far on the first vid and pick up when I get on campus.

0:04 - Do not zone MK with Nair. Nair in this MU is only meant to be used as an offensive kill move, or a combo linker. You got Faired for this mistake.

0:05, - Jumping when you get hit near the edge is a bad habit that gets ***** at high level play. You removed a lot of your options, when you should've just landed on the ground. You got Tornadoed for this mistake.

0:08 - Untippered falling Fair starts a combo. You could have Ftilted, Dancing Bladed, or possibly Fsmashed in this case. I recommend Dancing Blade. You did not take advantage, and got Shuttle Looped for this mistake.

0:11 - Nair is good platform pressure. However, Using Dancing Blade, Ftilt, or Jab is a better option to cover platform drop afterwards. UpB was both unnecessary and risky, and just largely ineffective, especially for the moving platform. Your opponent failed to punish this mistake, but a good MK would've dealt up to 40% in a combo, and put you in a bad position.

0:14 - You block a Dash Attack. Increase your reaction speed to be able to punish this with Dancing Blade. Since you did not capitalize on this window, your opponent was able to hit you with another Dash Attack.

0:16 - Any time you are going to perform an empty SH against MK, you need to be able to counter or UpB tornado on reaction.

0:17 - Do not Uair out of Nado. It leaves you open.

0:18 - Do not zone with Fsmash. Instead, use Ftilt if you think your opponent is going to enter that range. Your opponent's poor choice of UpB actually evaded the attack, and you had too much lag to capitalize on what would've been a free hit.

0:23 - You approached three times since 0:18. Each time, Dancing Blade was a better option. You got Daired at 0:19 since you didn't Dancing Blade to punish. You failed to capitalize on a whiffed Bair, and got Ftilted at 0:20, and you punished an unnecessary break in your opponent's ftilt with ftilt, but that should've been Dancing Blade as well. Ftilt has poor follow-up options, and your attempted follow-up was stuffed by UpB.

0:27 - Use Dancing Blade to punish. For now, only use grab to read shield, or when you are already in grab range by natural occurrence. Instead of being rewarded for your opponent's poor choice of tornado, you were Down Smashed for whiffing a grab.

0:31 - I love the way the video captures the hitbox on this pause, but anyway . . . make sure to sweet-spot the edge when you UpB. MK could've grabbed the ledge before you in this instance, even after getting hit by sourspot UpB at that percent. If you think he's going to hog it, just fall low, then Double Jump and Dancing Blade. Watch videos of high level Marth's to see how they recover.

Watched Steel v Blue Rogue 1 + 2, watched exactly 4 seconds of Steel vs Suyon (saw a Pit on the ledge rofl)

How Wario's get inside your spacing: You do something obvious/commit to an action (usually by auto-pilot in spacing) and they just move in after and do whatever they want. If they're a little bit they'll read what you do after the action.

The most important thing in Brawl is to never commit to spacing moves unless you know they're going to hit, or you know their safe in the situation. They can't react to your aerials they can only guess on timing so it's up to you to mix up your sh, fh, double jump, ff for movement alone.

Example (this is on minor lag tv's): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvtT8cKd2Xk

Bait and punish. Throwing out a bunch of whiffed attacks is asking to get punished, and asking to get read. Some attacks are frame traps if the opponent is in a bad position and you need to know all the tricks behind them like shield knockback, shield stun, etc.
