Oh yea, EL i meant to ask this earlier but i forgot cuz of the BK incident. What characters do you use in SCIV? I dont have the game but i kno i will be using talhim and mitsurugi just like in the SCIII. I'm probably just gonna play it at my college till i can buy it myself but i h8 the thought of paying 5 bucks an hour.

I prefer to analyze games that are mostly untouched and uncharted territory. This way the knowledge has more value since it's not widely known. And it's just more fun to me then researching something that is already known by alot of people.

It's like looking at an ancient book and trying to decipher it's secrets.

I really should go back and look over Bloody Roar 4. I only analyzed it enough to know who was god tier in that game.

Ivy is my main and I second the Sisters, Astaroth, and Xianghua.

Actually people have said that to me before.

I remember a friend of mine was high as **** one day and we were talking. And he said that most people who read what I have to say wouldn't be able to comprehend it. They might read an article that talks about d-tilt and why it's good and all sorts of things you can do with it.

But because they lack comprehension and insight all they really see is "spam d-tilt". And they do. And yeah they get somewhere. But they still suck.

And I agree. People...just play so dumb with Marth. Hell people play dumb in smash in general. They don't understand concepts like playing safe, risk vs reward, momentum shifts, pressing the advantage, dealing with disadvantage, being at neutral, etc.

The **** just goes over their heads and they never improve.

I'm thinking of using Mario, DK, and Marth, since it seems like a good team. The tourneys grand prize is a free game: Super Mario RPG, so I don't plan on losing it. Fortunately the only characters u can't use in it are Olimar, ROB, Pit, Sonic, Snake, Kirby, Metaknight, King Dedede, and the Ice Climbers, and maybe G&W. (the tourney is based off the game we're playing for, so the only playable characters are from mario series, those referenced in mario rpg, and characters that come from rpgs). Just wondering what a pro like you thought of my team. I also use the characters in my sig, obviously.

Don't use Marth in an online tourney. Use characters with good speed and reach and that have something they can abuse that don't require precision.

Anyway, this tournament is mostly a joke type of thing IMO.

Don't take it too seriously. First it's on wifi and secondly there are character restrictions.

Anyway, if you are allowed to use Wolf then use him since he is a beast online.

Marth isn't good online and I don't think too highly of Mario be it offline or online. But your choices are limited from the start due to character restrictions, which is why I said don't take it too seriously.

wait marths dtilt has like the same iasa frames as melee right because it def. feels slower to me

also pivot grab is hot **** too bad his dthrow is better than bthrow lol at least in melee you could use bthrow at like 180 on spacies to fsmash if they suck at di >_>

And trust me. I have NEVER seen so many people in a community play stupid as I have in the smash community.

But the Smash community are also mostly casual gamers who have no concept of playing fighters on a high level, so of course this is a huge factor as well.

He didn't. It's just that Fire Emblem itself is an RPG and mario rpg is rpg, so he's playable. The only reason I'm entering that tourney is for the shot at the free game. And as long as the lag on wi-fi doesn't lag like ****, I'll probably be ok. I think the brawl servers have cleared up since most of the hype for it is gone. I had more than a dozen wi-fi matches with other Mario mains over the weekend, and the lag didn't bother me. (Mind you, my connection is 0 bars, I use my neighbor's, lol.) Their connection under the friend's list was horrible but when playing barely noticable.

Tap jump is all a matter of what u value more. Easier u-tilts or easy up+b outta shield. If u want easy tilts, turn it off. If u want up b outta shield, turn it on. Most ppl here will tell u to turn it on cuz u will b needing to use up b outta shield more often than u-tilt.

just to clarify why it's good, it let's you interupt things like rob's dsmash if you shield a few seconds of it. Search for 2ndSteel's explanation since he includes a video. I'd link you but I'm on an iPhone. =[

Actually, you don't even have to shield a few seconds of it. Basically, you go from the shield, into invincibility frames from Dolphin Slash, to a hit. Any attack that's in the range of Dolphin Slash that even touches Marth's shield should get punished.

Anyway, I was play Yu Yu Hakusho Final and messing with the graphics setting and I was able to figure out how to make the in-game graphics look much sharper and now the sprites look amazing.

So, I'm gonna be playing it alot more now. lolz.
