Eh, I'm really hoping he's not in Skyward Sword.

As Spire pointed out earlier, the lore from Ocarina of Time of "...born every 100 years..." stands a role in this matter, unless Nintendo honestly just doesn't care about that(I know Miyamoto is sort of limbo these days).

Now, I'm not one for huge conspiracy theories, or hopeful plots of the game, but it would be very intriguing to me if the main plot of the game was Ganonorf himself being born in the first place. Think about the Gerudo tribe. Before Ganondorf/Link in OoT(to our knowledge of their existence), all female(detest men I believe as well). I mean, unless it's a Virgin Mary story, that wouldn't happen. *Don't go out on me on this if thing's are..you know*

I think you guys could understand where I'm getting at there, correct? Like I said, I don't want to go deep into a plot that doesn't need dwelling into to begin with. Of course, Nintendo could through a big *** curveball, and have the Gerudo tribe and Ganondorf 100 years before again. To be honest though, I want someone as enigmatic as Skull Kid in Majora's Mask. He was excellent.
Eh, don't take this too seriously if not needed. /rant

I just got the new issue of Nintendo Power.

One of the biggest things mentioned (in an interview) is that the demo area is a "field" in Hyrule. The boss (and most of the area) probably won't make it into the final game, and the developer (Aonuma, but I'm not 100% sure) said that they want to experiment more with putting bosses and puzzles in "field" areas like the demo.

Pretty awesome stuff.

Did nobody learn from the TP trailers and demos? Most of the stuff you see in early trailers and demos never makes it into the final game. So all of you complaining about the demo area and how it's some game breaking monstrosity can all calm down now.

Aonuma said it "represents" a field area in Hyrule, when Link first descends from the sky, which probably means an area very similar to that is going to appear in the game, but it will definitely look a lot better.

lol at misleading trailers. many video game creators like to do that.

No, he said that area will appear in the game, but the Stalfos, Scorpion, and other loads of enemies won't necessarily be there. They designed it to be more like a dungeon for the E3 demo, to demonstrate their field/dungeon hybrid plan.

Well, that's basically what I meant, but since he used the words "represents" I assume it's going to be ultimately the same area but with a few slight changes. I know for sure the graphics for this area are going to improve.

I read that the demo area is going to be the only area of the final game... and they're only going to use 50% of the demo area seen at E3

So I don't know how to feel about this game. The art style to me just looks WAY too bright and fluffy. I also was riding the hype train of that rumor that this game would be a sequel to Majora's Mask.

Maybe I'll be happier once more is known about the story.

The only Zelda game that was outright dark was TP, I think. Every other game was mostly bright, aside from dungeons and a few areas (Adult Castle Town in OoT, for example). We have yet to see the dungeons, and really we've only seen a handful of areas for SS.

As far as tone goes, TP and MM have been the only dark ones really. The others are fairly average. I doubt SS will have a dark tone.

It might surprise you, though, you never know. WW had quite a few dark parts, and OoT was, in many cases, darker than MM (ex. Shadow Temple, Ganon's Castle, etc.).

Right, but they all, for the most part, were graphically bright. My point being that every Zelda game has its bright and dark moments, and one demo area is not enough to tell what the whole game will be like.

I'm soo excited!! I can't wait!
STFU.

Don't come in here and post nonsense.

Princess Zelda confirmed!!!!!!!!!

Story

“Basically [the story] starts with Link, and Link is a young man who lives in Skyloft, which is a floating land that floats above the clouds … there’s an incident that occurs that reveals to him the existence of another land below the clouds, and that land is something that has been dominated by some evil force. Link has to go there, and so, with Link traveling back and forth between Skyloft and this other land, the story unfolds and part of it is that he’s searching for a lost or a valuable friend.“

So, this is gonna start out like MM?

"There, Link must use the power of the Skyward Sword to vanquish the evil forces that rule Hyrule, transforming the Skyward Sword into the Master Sword. Over time, he’ll learn the reason why Hyrule and Skyloft were divided by the thick bank of clouds. But just what awaits Link deep into his journey, and why was the world split in two? Not even we know that much."

This is getting more and more interesting the more I read into this!!!

So this might be that temple from TP that some of you guys were speculating about. And the Skyward Sword is going to be found in Skyloft. I'm expecting an eagle in this game. Cause I remember reading an article where Aonuma talked to his son and he mentioned flying.

I hope Skyward Sword doesn't involve too much actual flying. Nintendo already has a medieval boy who grunts, has (a) fangirl(s?), and is going to be flying in his latest game.
PIT.
Otherwise, the fight is on, I guess?

It's interesting that they're going to sort of cel-shaded. They're probably trying to keep the general atmosphere bright as oppose to Twilight Princess, that one was generally dark.

It might be a long shot.

But, there was an eagle that you controlled briefly in TP. If that means anything, than maybe we will be using an eagle in this game.

I'm still too fond of the pegasus Epona idea, which Aonuma pretty much confirmed isn't going to happen, despite loving the idea. Why does Link have to necessarily use a bird or animal for that matter? Perhaps he'll use the Skyward Sword to travel somehow.

Using some sort of bird would be cool. I think the idea of flying over Hyrule seems cool enough as it is.
As long as there's no Kaepora Gaebora to annoy the hell out of us, we're good!:laugh:

@Spire, you are not alone with wanting Epona as a pegasus! :)

Pegasus Epona FTW. I have a feeling it may be some type of owl, though, since those seem to be affiliated with the heavens (Kaepora = Sage of Light, TP Owl statues). That's just a speculation, though.

It will most likely have to do with the Skyward Sword itself, I think.

EDIT: OR... the ancient canons from TP...

I wouldn't wanna see Epona with wings. That would be weird to me. Not the fact that a horse has wings. I've just come to know Epona as a beautiful strong brown horse with a white mane. I wouldn't want to see that change and Epona become a Pegasus. Although I would be for an all new horse entirely.

Actually, this could be a good time to introduce why there's a red bird on the Hylian Shield. Perhaps Link rides on some large red bird, synonymous to the King of Red Lions being a red boat.

Or it might just reprisent the sky, from wich hylians originated from. But the main thing I wont to know about the shields symbols, is why they have a 4th triangle piece.
