Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom One thing I want you to try and understand is that I'm not here to troll or get a rise - I absolutely like to push the limits, but I see that more as a sideeffect of how this thread is run than a desire for schadenfruede. Simply put, I'm just trying to push my vision of what Smash should be. To me, Smash should be a slapstick comedy game that leans for parody over crossover. I grew up cringing at Brawl's latin orchestra theme, getting bored out of my mind waiting for at least one joke in the SSE cutscenes, and wondering why people would ever want to play as the armed supersoldier or gruff swordsman over the bleeping 80s calculator man with the funny key attack or the cutesy pink blob who sleeps in the middle of a fight. I feel Smash should reflect its actual gameplay in its tone and character choices - in recent months I've been subscribing to the mentality of Smash trying to become a true gaming history museum, which I believe a self-parodic tone would help as it'd allow series centred around objects rather than characters (such as Forza or Tetris) or who are generally non-violent or powerless to be easier to grasp or imagine as fighters.

Another thing I'd like to say is that all these "meme picks" are characters I have legitimate respect for, even if not attachment - Clippy, to me, is a personal computing icon and mascot of innovation; Miner Willy is an actual British national treasure, period; the Genesis Does adverts were factually instrumental in ending Nintendo's monopoly on video games; I consider Pac-Man 2's experimentalism to make it worthy of that big fat 2 localisers christened it with (misleading as it is); Arwing feels to me like the most natural way to represent a vehicle-driven series; Bubsy is a franchise that I feel makes up for its lack of quality in it's sheer cultural impact; King Dice is a memorable boss in a game that's most remembered for it's bosses; so on - some reasons are objective (Willy and Genesis Does at least), some are subjective, but it's not just "memes lol" - if I was going for memes, I would've submitted an actual meme like a nerd emoji or bored monkey NFT, since I'd consider those equally as elegible as Clippy on virtue of being technology. I do try to surprise, but I don't try to offend. These are just the picks I want in Smash.

It's funny, one of the only submissions I ever made with the sole purpose of making people turn heads and nothing else was the Earthworm Jim costume - too 90s-Nicktoon-style ugly to fit with Smash's mostly cute and cool cast? check. Rightfully controversial creator? check. Next game is exclusive to a scam console? check. Has been (not so rightfully) disparaged by modern retrospective? check. I actually was trying for "wait, did he really just submit THAT weird 90s thing?" to play off of my reputation, but nope, people loved it - and I'm glad for that, and I kinda regret treating him as a meme (even if I didn't show it) since it does make me out to be a big hypocrite, but either way it's weird that the joke police have come out every time except the time I was actually joking.

I got 20 minutes to unpack and respond so bare with me. I think the underlining issue with this is that we have a clash of ideas on our vision of the game. I don't have any real attachment to how Smash should be. Smash is Smash and I am perfectly fine with the direction it's moving to. In fact, I 100% encourage it. I think this is a valid opinion to have and, being the person who runs this thread, I try to steer it towards this trend. I feel this is the correct direction for it to take. The only person save for a few instances who have pushed back was yourself which was something I found....odd...but I welcomed nonetheless as I prefer contrasting opinions. I have mentioned this numerous times but I started this thread without zero thread and forethought put into it. I half expected it to putter out within the first month but, in December, it will be 2 years old. So it's obvious I will be fairly defensive about it and, while understandibly alarming, I am the point where I see "figures lurking in the shadows" to take over the project to see it fall into ruin. It's silly, I know.

I know you don't mean to cause issues and problems for th ethread based on your submissions and, honestly, responding to your submissions like how I did today only sows distrust and aggression. I have always try to uphold submissions as long as they obey by the criteria. I never would have anticipated that someone would of submitted a stage based on a gaming advertisement. I don't feel like I am alone in thinking this is ineligible and, as I have seen before, allowing a submission can cause issues down the line. Why stop at just gaming advertisements? How about we do gaming menus? Live gaming events? Game previews before movies (I haven't been to a movie theatre in 10 years so....do they do that?) And, yes, McDonalds TouchScreen Menu that features Mario Happy Meal Toys. We have to stop somewhere and I feel like putting the breaks on "no advertisements of any kinds" is a valid ruling. And I know I harped on this before but the commercial you submitted was not even Japanese (which is shocking considering how crazy Japanese commercials are) but also it was from a commercial from a previous rival company meant to diss Nintendo. Of course Nintendo wouldn't even consider adding something like that in a game that glorifies Nintendo being upped by it's rival.

Smash Infinite is the celebration of gaming history from the perspecrive of Nintendo

If you wish to create a Smash Creates thread that tries to do what Infinite didn't and push the boundries, please go for it! I would love to include all sorts of whacky content for it. But, as this is my project, I am sticking to my guns on this one. I mentioned previously that I would be stricter with our content going into DLC since we need to turn a profit and I still mean it.

As to everyone else, I hope you don't feel like I am holding a gun to your heads and demanding content. It's far from that. I love seeing what we include and I am 100% proud of the project and the contribution you have all invested into it. I dedicate hours to this project and this hasn't changed in the past year. This includes managing our front page so it includes mostly EVERYTHING we added in, managing the wikia, doing recolors and series ysmbols, planning stuff, etc. Basically, I use what time I could be gaming, watching a tv show, relaxing, or doing something that is considered a hobby to working on this project. I respect this project and what people submit and stand by what we add in. I feel like I should some respect from people by submitting sensible and realizable content by adheres to the requirements.

Anyways, I promise to be more starightforward and concise if I decide to veto any submissions from you Wario (and anyone else for that matter) but I do just ask for you to come to me and ask if this would be permissable. It saves everyone time and energy in the long run. If I decide to veto it and provide enough evidence, I do ask for my own sanity that it is accepted. I know that's selfish but I have long gone past a breaking point in my life.

THAAAAAAAAT being said,

My life is going to be far more complicated in the next few months. It's extremelty depressing and personal and I am not in the right mindset to share in publically but...well...there will be a lot of changes. One of these changes is a positive one but will render me nearly exhausted due to work. My work hours will be 6:00 am to 4 pm and then my other job from 5:30 pm to 11 pm. I will literally have 1.5 hours between those two jobs to eat dinner.

So.....I am looking for someone to start helping run the thread for next month. One or two people would be great. If you are interested, DM me on Discord or PM on the site and we can talk about it. I didn't want to go this route but it's obvious I need it.

This poist was written in a span of 6 hours soooo....sorry for the wierd formatting...

I made a submission!

Farmhouse
1658193615200.png

Harvest Moon aka Story of Seasons is one of the few franchises that has such a connection to the Nintendo gaming systems but, sadly. has hardly if any content related to it. Let's fix that by adding Farmhouse. Now, I am open to calling it something else if farmhouse is too....bland. Now, sadly, we no longer call thi sgame that name as there was a huge legal affair and, well, one studio retained the name of Harvest Moon while the other created Story of Seasons. Despite that, the Harvest Moon games that we currently called Harvest Moon lacks the appeal that the original series was known for while the current Story of Seasosn retains the same charm and appeal of past Harvest Moon games. Since we have sort of created our own past and future in this project, I propose that either 1) the whole legal thing never happened thus Harvest Moon never splintered off and Story of Seasosn never happened or...2) it happened but the two titles switches roles which means the Story of Seasons were the laclusters versions of the original Harvest Moon games while Harvest Moon after the splinter retained the same sense of appeal and quality.

So, this stage is based off of the Farmhouse from Harvest Moon 64 but also incorproates elements found in Back to Nature, a Wonderful Life, and Tree of Tranquility - all titles that appeared on past consoles (N64, PS1, GNC, and Wii). This sort of represents the history of the series as a whole. Basically, the stage is a large one with two walk off-able sections on either side much like Gran Mach Monastary and Gerudo Valley. The left portion is the house which is a two-story house and functions as a two-tier platform structure. Much like Luigi's Mansion and Spear Pillar, you can roll down through the roof and floors to get into the house which causes the outer walls to vanish thus allowing people to see the action inside the bedroom.

Unlike Luigi's Mansion, walls can't be destroyed. Outside of the house is the doghouse which can be destroyed and can be jumped on. There is a short expanse from the farm house to the barn which has a grain silo. It's about 3 stories tall and can be jumped onto. That being said, you can walk through the barn which has two opened doors on either side. Entering the barn causes the walls to vanish much like the farmhouse. The background are cows, sheep, and horses. Performing a Smash attack causes the animals inside to cry out with a MOO, NEIGH, and BAAAA! You can't Smash an opponent through the roof as they will simply bounce.

Following that, the far left side consists of a well which can be stood on and fields of crops. During the length of the battle, these crops will grow which can be picked and eaten or thrown. Hitting the plants with a Fire attack will cause the plant to burn and reset the process. Hitting it with a Water speeds up the growing process. Here are the list of crops:

NameSeasonHealing PercentageDamage PercentageAdditional Effects
TurnipSpring24.0000001 chance of being Peach's Turnip
CabbageSpring67It bounces after being thrown and can be picked up
PotatoSpring1.84None
StrawberrySpring.51Numerous strawberries can be picked up per plant
TomatoSummer62.5Numerous tomatoes can be picked per plant, throwing ont he ground causes a splat mark which can induce slipping
CornSummer87Burning produces a bag of popcorn food item
Hot PepperSummer-412.8Induces when thrown. Eating it causes a damaging Superspicy Curry effect which damages both opponents and eater
WatermelonSummer1822Splits open when thrown. It can also be hit and split open
EggplantFall2.22None
Green PepperFall5.8None
YamFall22.1None
PumpkinFall12.516.00000001 chance of a Jack-o-Lantern
CarrotWinter73It can penetrate shields
Daikon RadishWinter109None
SpinachWinter6.1Induces a 2.5 strength modifier for the eater

Now, why are there seasons?

Just like Minecraft World, the stage is set in four seasons with them being Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Each season has it's own growable crop. That being said, rain isn't present in the spring through fall seasons but snow is present in the winter season. This is the differences per season:

SeasonDifferences
SpringBright grass, cherry blossom trees in the background, cherry blossoms floating in the air. Tulips and carnations in the fore and background.
SummerMore duller grass, brighter sun, and green trees int he background. Sunflowers and Lillies dot the fore and backgrounds.
FallMore browner grass with trees that are covered in orange, red, and brown maple leaves. Mushrooms and Morning Glories dot the fore and background.
WinterObvious snow falling with snow that blankets the ground but it has no effect on the stage. Trees lack leaves and there aren't any flowers.

As for cameos, obviously there would be the livestock. Included near the barn which are chickens which scatter when opponents comes near but will come back once players go away. I toyed with the idea of each round featuring one of the five bachelorettes: Elli, Marie, Karen, Poppori, and Anne. I am not sure if I will stick with that but there would be a fun nod to the game if they may appear once per match near the farm house.

That being said, here are our current eligible submissions:

Lordran (Dark Souls)
Cave of Monsters (Bubble Bobble)
Mission 1 (Metal Slug)
Kamura Village (Monster Hunter)
Farmhouse (Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons)

I'll submit this thing I made from way long ago!
Cave of Monsters (Bubble Bobble)

Ya' like Mario Bros? Try 100 Mario Broses! Every single layout from Bubble Bobble can appear - the stage is a bit scaled up to make certain platforming sections, particularly regarding stacked soft platforms, more managable - while walls too high for certain characters to jump over will permanently have bouncy, unpoppable bubbles to get up them with fixed to them, and some more gaps are added to the edges for KOs. There's 4 foes that spawn with each layout, you must attack them, chase their fleeing bubble, follow them as they pop, and eat the fruit they turn into to proceed to the next layout. The foes can deal damage, so be careful. If you spend 30 or more seconds on a single layout, Baron von Blubba will appear, 1HKOing anyone who touches him - Baron von Blubba's 1HKOs also make the round proceed. The layouts are put in random order, though they'll always start on the first stage. A bubble effect is put around figthers during stage transitions, but this has no gameplay effect. If you're enough of a masochist to play a battle long enough to see all layouts, you'll be put on the Omega form.

The Bubble background from the NES version's title can be seen in the background. Just like the arcade version, Bob will sometimes walk in with a sign saying "INSERT COIN TO JOIN"

Kamura Village
From Monster Hunter Rise. Would start in the village and travel across it. Various characters can be spotted, with humans, Felyne and Palamute all in the back doing their thing. There are some bridges and buildings that can be used. Eventually the fighters will be transported to another setting.

The monsters in these segments don't attack, and are purely cameos. The stage will loop back to the village eventually.

View attachment 356815
Sandy Plains
A pretty basic stage with some rocks. More Esrh based monsters appeared here.

View attachment 356823
Sunken Forest
A first full with greenery, mud and water. More forest and water based monsters appear here.

View attachment 356824
Lava Caverns
Full of rocks and loads with an oozing volcano in the back. Fire based monsters appear here.

Frost Island
Full of ice, with slippy parts. Ice themed monsters appear here.
Sad thing that Chrono Trigger is ineligible since I was thinking on submit the Epoch, so that leads me to my second option

Im submitting Mission 1 from Metal Slug. Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom

EDIT: RIP

EDIT 2: This is disqualified anyways because I forgot that Team ICO is owned by Sony Double Rip

The Forbidden Lands (Shadow Of The Colossus)

This would be a simple travelling stage were you start at the shrine of worship and fly around on a platform that slightly resembles avion and has 4 platforms arranged above it. visiting all 16 colossi in their arenas

Sorry, the stage must be on a Nintendo console so I am unable to post-include this.

Mii Costume Job: Submit a Mii Costume Based on a Gaming Tounrament where Smash is Present

So, assuming in our distorted alternate universe, covid could have happened or couldn't of happened. Not sure, we never had a job about that. That being said, we are assuming that at least everything is back to normal and we have tournaments back. To celebrate (or just a nice incentive), attendees of one of the tournaments we submit will have a free mii costume given to them upon arriving at the tournament. This includes people to sign up to compete or those who simply coe to attend. This also applies to any staff and/or volunteers.

So, our job is to decide which tournament this will be. The requirement is obviously this tournament must have Smash featured in its game lineup and must be a real tounrament. No making tournaments up. This mii costume is a shirt that features that tounrament logo so please provide the name of the tournament plus an image of said logo. Also, please provide a reason why this tournament should have the privledge of having its logo plastered on one of the Miis.

EVO Championship Series
The one, the only. A tournament event with such a major influence on the fighting game scene you'd be hard-pressed to think of an event to outclass it. Smash has been a part of EVO until recently, but in that period, there are no other entries in the franchise than Melee and Ultimate that held their ground at such a level. In Smash, the Mii Costume would consist of a dark blue t-shirt with the EVO logo branded onto the front and back of the shirt.

I apologize for my rather rude demeanor earlier. Truth be told, I’m not the best mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, and professionally. I do say this thread is a space for me to enjoy and release stress. Working on this project brings me joy as does seeing all the submissions. I hardly game anymore or, more or less, have fun within my own terms. My time and energy is always tied to others. While I’ve been handling myself better as of late, botching up my schedule and basically shooting myself in the foot by taking too much work on myself led to basically be at work for 24 hours and then social obligations for 12 more of those hours so I’ve been awake roughly 30 hours with little to eat so I’m grumpy and tired to say the least. I will say that things that didn’t bother me earlier (both here and real life) causes me to snap. I’ve never been sensitive or high strung but, within the course of a year, I’ve been set off on things that are small and irrelevant in the grand scheme. At work though, I will take as much as I can - even to the breaking point because more work means more money. But outside of that, I have a hard time compartmentalizing which is sad as used to excel at it. I hate to point fingers but Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario ’s submissions has been the catalyst for some of these snaps. It’s not his fault as it’s my own for not approaching them in a manner that isn’t coated in exasperation. It’s hard for me to explain why I feel this way. Whenever I see them, I see my space that I draw enjoyment and fullfillment from within a life that, as of late, I have little control over, being affronted and assaulted. I wish I could change and I’ve tried to change but this recent episode is further testament in my inability to prevent issues within my personal life from ebbing into this thread and affecting those around it.

I am not closing the thread nor am I going to try to institute a change in myself or the thread. So perhaps giving a reason for my madness. It may increase in the coming months or I may get a handle on it. Who knows.
You aren't the only one. I'm gonna be brutally honest here, W3, I don't think you're a bad person or anything, but your submissions, every last one of em, drive me nuts. It comes off as "weird and wacky" for weird and wackiness sake, every time, and I'm sorry but that is never a reasonable excuse to include something in and of itself. For the love of God, can you try to show a little ****ing restraint, because you're genuinely pissing people off here. (And before you say "well Wii Fit is just a tool - no. It has minigames which are designed to enhance the experience and on top of that it's an in-house Nintendo product, so like Labo and R.O.B., gets some form of special treatment (even though all three are intrinsically linked with gaming as a whole)

Clippy is not a game character. He's a mascot for a tool. A McDonald's touchscreen is not a game. It is a tool. Just because YOU have a very broad, and, I'm not trying to be rude, but honest, stupid definition for what constitutes a game, doesn't mean everyone else does and pushing the boundaries when you've been asked to stop, repeatedly, by thread staff and others, is blatantly just rude and disrespectful.

For the record, I don't think all of your ideas are the worst things in the world, but you basically never submit content with a genuine desire to see it, you submit it with the intent of generating reactions and because it's unexpected, that much is obvious from the way you post. No one else sees Smash as an excuse to "love the unloved" or whatever. Just because a few Nintendo characters that were forgotten have gotten in over the years doesn't mean every goddamn addition is an excuse to pull some random unknown product out of your ass.

Smash is not a parody. It has NEVER been a parody. It's not a hardcore fighting game either, and the slapstick mantle isn't 100% unjustified, but at the same time, it has the juxtaposition of having Solid Snake and Joker going up against Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt. It needed to strike a balance between the two, and it has landed on a balance it liked that it has been using for 20+ years - there is no reasonable excuse to change it now. Some stages can be silly, others serious. Same with characters - such is the nature of a crossover of this magnitude. You need to respect the balance and stop trying to force your vision on a community project. Make your own thread with your own rules and respect the team who started this thread's vision instead of whining like a crybaby every time someone tells you Clippy isn't a game character or that no one knows who Miner Willy is.

For the record, I honestly think the idea of a stage that's themed after a Nintendo commercial, or even a console, isn't the worst idea in the world, but the way you handled this was extremely immature and poor (and yes, I realize that I've done some of the same as well, but regardless). You were told that it was not accepted and you just. Kept. Poking. Like you do every time one of your crackpot ideas gets shot down. If you really are that obsessed with these ideas, you can make a thread of your own, or a video, or whatever. Do something more constructive than trying to harass/bully the thread owner and staff of the project into accepting your stuff. When it's shot down, let it go and move on.

well Wii Fit is just a tool - no. It has minigames which are designed to enhance the experience
Do you have any experience at all with classic Windows? This is something I've mentioned time and time again. 3D Space Cadet Pinball, Minesweeper, Solitaire!
on top of that it's an in-house Nintendo product
There is prescedent for Nintendo gettng special treatment, but not reason. Prescedent is irrelevant to me, only reason matters.
pushing the boundaries when you've been asked to stop, repeatedly, by thread staff and others, is blatantly just rude and disrespectful.
Maybe I'm just delusional, but usually how I interpret these messages is "you're free to argue for this, but we're not gonna listen", not much more flattering but still.
you basically never submit content with a genuine desire to see it, you submit it with the intent of generating reactions and because it's unexpected
I've said this a billion times - I don't submit for the memes. I've just listed off a laundry list of reasons I'm in support of the strange characters I want, and even recounted the one time where I did try to turn heads as a joke, what more can I do to prove I'm not meming? Even if I was, why does that make my picks less legitimate? The humour derived from a character like Bubsy or Morshu is an equally valid emotion to the fear of Ridley; awe of Joker; or adoration of Kirby.
Smash is not a parody. It has NEVER been a parody
To it's detriment. One of the biggest flaws of Smash is that it takes itself so seriously with the melodramatic genocide latin choir crap. Also, I don't know how you can look at this image and say "not parody"

It needed to strike a balance between the two, and it has landed on a balance it liked that it has been using for 20+ years - there is no reasonable excuse to change it now.
I am not trying to change the course of the thread, simply suggesting the ideas I want in hopes people may consider them in outside speculation. Guess what? I don't care about serious; cool; highly-requested; or conventional characters, I have no obligation to submit them either, just as you have no obligation to submit wacky picks if you don't like them.
You need to respect the balance and stop trying to force your vision on a community project.
I'm not "forcing my vision" - I'm not gonna cry from the rooftops when Dante is selected over, say, a second Diddy Kong with a backwards cap and entirely boombox-based moves, but if I have arguments for Backwards Cap Diddy Kong being elegible, I will fight for them - I'm not asking for your support, just your legitimacy. I do not care about the voting outcome, just the chance for my submissions to be acknowledged
whining like a crybaby every time someone tells you Clippy isn't a game character or that no one knows who Miner Willy is.
I do get a bit mad, but "whining like a crybaby" is a very bad faith way of putting it. Also, with Miner Willy that was the whole point. To educate Nintendo fans, who tend to believe that video games magically disappeared between ET and Gyromite, on the microcomputer age that was going on in Europe in the background of America's crash.
You were told that it was not accepted and you just. Kept. Poking. Like you do every time one of your crackpot ideas gets shot down
Why should I stop arguing for the ideas I believe in? I'm a believer in "0.1% is still a chance", and there's always the possibility that I can convince them otherwise, like with Arwing or the uncensored DK Rap beforehand
Do something more constructive than trying to harass/bully the thread owner and staff of the project into accepting your stuff.
I never try to harass or bully, maybe I do by accident - and for that I'm sorry - but in my eyes I'm just arguing for ideas I like.

I'm not on my computer at the moment, so I'm only going to touch the parts I think you've made any kind of point with.

First, Clippy isn't a representative for Windows. Windows is an operating system, Clippy comes from a program (Microsoft Word) that is designed for office work. It'd be more apt to say he's a Word character, which, as has been established, is not a video game to anyone but you. Interactivity doesn't make something a game, because if it did, you could argue my vacuum is a video game because it responds when I press the button to turn it on.

"precedent doesn't matter" in a thread that is 90% about following precedent. Go start your own thread then. This isn't the place for it

It is not a parody. Whether you like it or not, it is a fighting game. Goofy slapstick or otherwise, it is a fighting game, and more specifically, a platform fighter. Brawlhalla, Fraymakers, Playstation All-Stars - they are not parodies. You wouldn't argue Marvel vs. Capcom as a parody. You clearly don't understand the meaning of the word.

No, the humor of a character is absolutely not equal to hype. Whether you like hype culture or not, everything addition should be aiming to add something to entice the buyer. If we're going to pretend were making a game then we should act like it's something we're trying to sell, something that Venus has made ABUNDANTLY clear. Busy or Morshu are clickbait, cheap parlor tricks to get someone talking about your game for 5 minutes. Do you really think they'd garnet the kind of hype or literal tears of a character who actually has a legacy worth remembering? The last character Smash did that was a forgotten pick was Pit, 15 years ago. They've been distancing themselves from that stuff, not that it ever had a prominent spot in the first place. Smash has never been a museum. Didn't you yourself once describe it as "one giant advertisement?

You should stop arguing when you are asked to stop. That's the problem, you don't know how to let it go and take "no" for an answer. Learn to let it go and move on. The thread owner who picks the rules says no, and repeatedly insisting they explain themselves to you is a great way to Garner bad faith, and it comes off as whiny, desperate, arrogant, entitled, and like you're trying to bully into getting your way. I didn't argue when I was told my number one pick was ineligible, so learn to take it on the chin and when you have no point in fighting. Get over it and move on when you're told that you aren't getting your way. It's childish to see you demand answers, and even when you get one you can't drop it. There's nothing wrong with arguing for something, but you need to have a little self-awareness to know when the fight is done and pack it up.

Not sure if submissions are still being accepted for the Mii Costume job but...

1280x720.jpg

GENESIS

GENESIS is one of the oldest grassroots Smash tournament series held in Oakland, California. It was even sponsored by Nintendo multiple years. I feel we should definitely have something that honors the grassroots of competitive Smash. Even though EVO is the bigger name for e-sports, GENESIS has such a bigger connection with Smash than EVO does. A lot of competitive storylines for all the Smash games have culminated here. The Mii Costume will have a black t-shirt with the Genesis logo on it in red. On the back of the t-shirt, it will have the Nintendo logo.

Here are the results of voting for the DLC stage

Name3 Points2 Points1 PointTotal
Lodran (Dark Souls)2 (6)2 (4)111
Cave of Monsters (Bubble Bobble)2 (6)017
Mission 1 (Metal Slug)2 (6)2 (4)212
Kamura Village (Monster Hunter)2 (6)4 (8)317
Farmhouse (Harvest Moon)2 (6)2 (4)212

While voting was pretty right amongst the list of stages, Kamura Village from Monster Hunter Rise came out on top by netting 17 votes, 2 three pointers and 4 two pointers. This leads me to declare Kamura Village by a landslide.

So, our next job will include...

Monster Hunter Music

Here are the songs we have included thus far in Infinite:

Yes, it would. Also, one thing I forgot to add to when we added the Final Fantasy stage...

Submit Non-Final Fantasy VII Music
Since the Airship was included and it combines elements from the Final Fantasy series, we will be allowing new Final Fantasy music to be included that is outside of the FF7 umbrella. Please submit up to 3 tracks. I apologise for this but I was goign through the DLC stage info and found I was missing this. I might bring up further jobs like this the more I go through the info we submitted.

I finished the Monster Hunter series symbol.

I do want to remind you we need more music for Monster Hunter than Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy siubmissions are closed. I will be adding one as well though but just one...

While I love Final Fantasy above all other soundtracks (even more than NieR), Final Fantasy XIII was my most favorite. Even though the game was....meh....there's such great songs for it.

I think this song perfectly embodies a good song that is graet to not only smash to but listen to as well. I feel it's far more appropirate compared to The Promise

The Will to Live
I will be honest though, I had to choose between ten amazing songs.

Hey everyone, I will be busy until tomorrow so I am putting a full stop on the Final Fantasy music. I will be allowing Monster Hunter music submissions for the time being. That being said, I would like to move onto our next job but not before announcing the winning submissions:

Name2 points1 PointTotal
Color Me Red2 (4)37
Battle of Blues2 (4)37
Brown Brawn000
Not Easy Being Green4 (8)210

Name2 Points1 PointTotal
Star Fox1 (2)35
Sonic2 (4)04
Final Fantasy2 (4)26
Mii1 (2)24
Fire Emblem3 (6)17

Based on the winning submissions, It's Not Easy being Green will be an online tournament as is a Fire Emblem centered tournament. I gave Fire Emblem an extra 2 pointer as I had forgotten the submission so it was awarded compesentation points. I meant to mention that earlier but I forgot. That being said, I am adding list of tournaments that had been submitted before that scored high and will be putting them into our online tournament listing later down the road so theres a good chance Final Fantasy and Star Fox will also appear.

Next, Mii Fighter Outfit

NameTotal
EVO5
GENESIS1
CEO2

Yup, EVO won this round. People who attend 20XX EVO will recieve a code for a free EVO T-shirt download for their Mii Fighter. This also will be given to those who work as staff and/or volunteers. Furthermore, Youtube and Twitch will also have a partnership and will give out codes to those who are watching the Super Smash Bros. Infinite tournament. This does requires having a profile though and an active email attached to recieve said code.

Thanks to everyone who submitted content! With that being said, we are moving to out next job which is a Spirit Event submission.

Submit a Spirit Event
We previously had a Spirit Event that focused on including new Spirits based on objects. This time, I am leaving it up to you to create a topic for our Spirit Events. That being said, here's the requirements:

Not only will you submit the Spirit Event but you will be handpicking the Spirits yourself. Previously, we allowed for people to submit the topic and then we all submit Spirits. To change things up but to also save time, you will be providing the Spirit list.

This MUST BE SPIRITS AVAILABLE ON THE LAUINCH VERSION. NO DLC SPIRITS. NO NEW SPIRITS.

YOUR SPIRIT LIST CAN BE UP TO 40 TOTAL AND 12 MINIMUM

Please submit thename of the Spirit Event and what the event is based on (i.e. Swordie Swordies: Based on sword fighters) while also providing your list.
