Sonic Tournament Results CHANGING THIS TITLE

Though I still think it's neutral xD 45:55 though.

There's nothing about Falco that inherently ***** Sonic, and he's got nothing that damaging for Sonic really.

This isn't the thread to discuss it though >_<

play against a jab spamming falco...

it out ranges a lot of sonics moves... and he has a good projectiles, and a CG (and dont say you can spring out of it, because good falcos will just CG you the same way they do lucario) and he can spike you if you arent paying attention.

but still, lots of ppl seem to think that the match is even...

45:55 Falco actually sounds pretty plausible.

The only thing Falco has on Sonic is the chaingrab and jab range.

I found that sticking next to the ledge works wonders on Falco, his recovery sucks too hard that it's too easy to edgeguard him.

Lasers? lol, just perfect shield 'em, like I do.

But yeah, that chaingrab's nasty. Sonic CANNOT up-b out of it unless the Falco messes up.

I never was able to escape a chaingrab from Sethlon, however, he NEVER successfully spiked me from a chaingrab, as I was always able to recovery.

Besides, there's plenty of levels to combat Falcos on. Green Greens, Rainbow Cruise, etc etc.

i think you are forgetting the fact that jab range, CGs lasers, spikes and back airs, is all falco has in general.

thats all he has in all of his matchups but hes still top tier...

So yesterday I was pwning overall in brawl. I was facing as many MKs, and other top/high tier chars, as I could on AiB, because I really want someone to prove me wrong about the matchups not being too bad.

So I played some dude ranked 29th on the ladder, who happens to be an MK main. I'm like rank 400 or something, lol, so he only played me in friendlies.

So yea, I beat his MK(on battlefield, lol), I beat his boozer, I beat his snake, his marth, his weegee in sets.

And then, I lose to his Falco.

Oh, the irony.

Maybe kid is onto something... haha.

=P But I only got to play one round against the falco, he just dissapeared after he won.

Perfect shielding with lag spikes = T-T

I think if I got just a bit more practice vs. Falco, that I'd do much better.

falcos are some of the campiest players around, are you really trying to use their patience agaisnt them... the only one who can do that is an MK thats planking

grab you at the edge, chaingrab to the middle, reverse boost grab and CG to the edge to spike. very simple for a good falco player.

b air camping is really effective when coupled with lasers, especially when you need a kill.

im not saying that thats what makes falco win this match im saying that the combination of all these things, simple as they may be are why falco wins the majority of his match ups. it just like MK. he is the best because he has at least 1 move of tactic that cna **** everyother character. tornado ***** falco and DK but doesnt do much against us. but down smash and f-air and down tilt, **** us, while those things are easily managable for a lucario. its not that falco can spike that makes him beat us, or the CG, if it was any one thing, we would have found a way to get around it by now, but falco has a great projectile, a rediculous low damage grab game a jab that has more range than most of our moves, and with SH side b he can run away and camp possibly the best in the game. all of those things together give him a distinctive edge on sonic the same way it gives him a distinct advantage on most of the rest of the cast.

well, it depends...
because of our speed, there is a much greater amount of distance that he has to make for the move to be safe. it can be punishable and it can not be, just depends on his spacing and our timing.

Alright then, I just wanted to let you know. I just like to act silly; I mean, it IS the Sonic boards.

It felt directed at me (and Napi too) because it was directly after our posts, so that's where I got the implication. It's all good though.

And lame-steak is actually a term for FAKE STEAK.

Don't eat the Fake Steak. (Fish Steak IS Fake Steak).

Why do you think Mr. 3000 is constantly trapped at 13th place at HOBOs? He heard of steak, but he was tainted by eating Fake Steak before maining Sonic.

He eats Fish Steak, not Win Steak. We must fix this.

Off topic: One time, during my matches with Sethlon, I survived up to 223% on my last stock, and techchase grabbed him to 60% from 0%. Too good.

A majority of the matches had me surviving to strange percents, like 150 and 180% on average.

thats cus without his spikes and if you avoid his back air, he cant kill anything to save his life.

after those two options are nullified, all he has is his smashes. and those are pretty much average in every way.

theres a strength tier list floating around that averages the top 5 kill moves for every character. and falco really doesnt do that much better than sonic. iirc, sonics average was in the 140s while falcos was into the 130s

Yea, I think that since Sonic's UpB is such an antispiker, Falco's dair obviously isn't as effective. And as his overally recovery has such odd movement qualities, it becomes much harder for him to land a Bair then against say... Snake, lulz.

If Falco's usmash were as strong as Foxes.... *shivers*

Ur spacing and "A" game me were always too smexy LuCKy, ASC is a "B" game move. I have no idea where ur Sonic metagame are since last i heard u were still done. Mostly, spin cancels and ASC tho.
