Super Mario Bros.	The defining title of the 2D platformer genre, Building off of previous titles featuring the then-ambigious Mario character and taking heavy cues from Namco's Pac-Land, Super Mario Bros. brought the side scrolling platformer into the mainstream and established Nintendo as THE gaming company for quite some time with it's tight platforming and creative secrets. Almost every Nintendo console since has featured some iteration of the game, while the original sprite artwork and sound effects continue to pop up in Nintendo titles to this day. With the Ultimate Game Collection, it can finally be experienced legally on Sony and Microsoft hardware.
Final Fantasy VII	Final Fantasy VII released on the first PlayStation and was the first Final Fantasy game, and one of the first JRPGs, to use polygonal graphics. The first six Final Fantasy games were popular, but had a limited appeal, which all changed with this one which completely blew up in every part of the world due to its revolutionary graphics, tragic story, and slow-paced but fun gameplay. There were a lot of RPGs before Final Fantasy VII but many people simply haven't experienced one of this scale before this.
Street Fighter II	After the decently faring Street Fighter, Capcom followed it up with the hugely successful sequel Street Fighter II, featuring both playable characters: Ryu and Ken, returning alongside Street Fighter's main villain Sagat, and a whole host of new fighters from around the world. This game features much smoother controls and easier to pull off special moves which made it a hit that gave 1-on-1 fighting games the push they needed to truly become a successful genre and even a competitive e-sport!
Tetris	Created in 1984 by famous Soviet software engineer Alexey Pajitnov, enter Tetris. This puzzle game has established itself as one of the greatest early video games. From simply creating rows of blocks, this game was a world wide phenomenon. In fact, Tetris has been published by several companies for multiple platforms, Nintendo most notably for their GameBoy. With the Ultimate Game Collection, you can gain the Tetris effect just by reliving the puzzle experience.
Resident Evil 4	The fourth mainline entry in the Resident Evil series and the first one to use an over-the-shoulder camera view. You play as police officer Leon S. Kennedy who travels to Spain to rescue the US president's daughter from an evil cult. Resident Evil 4 features a blend of action and horror segments, giving this game a lot of variety in it. The camera style of this game inspired a whole new generation of shooter games and survival horror games and the mainline Resident Evil games haven't went back to their older style ever since.
Doom	DOOM is one of the earliest FPS games and it was developed by ID Software. Coming off the heels of the highly influential Wolfenstein 3D, ID Refined the design philosophies they established there and also with the help of new technology they created DOOM. The legacy of this game has endured over the years due to its high replayability and the fact that the game does not require that much power, allowing it to be played on basically anything with a screen and CPU.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time	After four years without any releases, the Legend of Zelda series came back in a new dimension with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Ocarina of Time was one of the biggest worlds in videogames of the time and boasted a huge, sprawling open world and intelligently designed puzzles as the young hero Link grows up to defeat Ganondorf, an evil king threatening the kingdom of Hyrule. The game also invented the “Z-targeting” system where you can lock onto an enemy and your movements will be around them, allowing you to more easily fight against them, which has since become an industry standard still used to this day. Even today Ocarina of Time is often considered one of the greatest games of all time.
Wii Sports	Being one of the best-selling Nintendo games of all time, Wii Sports is a classic that many remember playing when the game first launched in 2006 as a launch title for the Wii itself. The game consists of five sports being tennis, baseball, golf, boxing and bowling. Players can create Miis on the Wii console to play as a representation of themselves or someone else. You may even get to face against Matt, a self-proclaimed legend of sports (especially boxing). Beyond this, the game spawned sequels with more sports added as well as set the groundwork for games in the 21st century by Wii Sports having very easy accessibility, broad appeal, as well as its long-term impact on console development at Nintendo and other game hardware designers. Metal Gear Solid	Metal Gear Solid tells the story of a legendary mercenary Solid Snake who has to infiltrate Shadow Moses Island, a military base in Alaska that’s been over run by terrorists led by Liquid Snake who want 1 billion dollars and the body of the legendary soldier who abandoned his country, Big Boss. On the way he finds out secrets about the world and a whole host of plot twists. Metal Gear Solid features stealth gameplay that has inspired a whole new genre and its narrative was one of the most in-depth and complex at the time, helping show the power of videogames as an artistic medium
OutRun	Designed by Yu Suzuki, OutRun was released in arcades in 1986 and was very influential to the racing game genre as well as videogames in general with its influential sound design, music, and graphics. The game is simple, all you do is drive around a course while avoiding cars and other vehicles but the game has still endured as one of the most well known arcade games of the mid 80s ever since
Civilization VI	---
Pac-Man	Pac-Man is a maze game created by Toru Iwatani in 1980 and it was released on arcade machines by japanese company Namco. In this game, you take control of yellow fella named Pac-Man, whose task is to eat all dots while avoiding menacing ghost gang. When Pac eats the power pellet, he gets an ability to eat ghosts as they turn into cowardly blue ones during the pellet's use. Pac-Man's possible inspiration came from the time when Toru was eating pizza and he noticed that the pizza without one slice looked like a Pac-Man and he decided to make a character based on idea that he came up during eating a pizza. Pac-Man became a huge success and it became one of most iconic 1980's video games of all time, plus it is now considered as one of video game landmarks in video game history and even popular culture. This game was super popular enough that even started the franchise itself on excellent note. In "Ultimate game collection", you can re-experience the classic gameplay with new achievements that you unlock when you do something in the game.
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen	Pokémon Red and Green were both released in Japan in 1996 and absolutely took the world by storm. Minecraft	Minecraft was first created in 2009 by indie company Mojang and released in 2011. It was a huge hit, being known for its open world where you can build almost anything and craft a verity of items to help you survive. This open nature made it a hit with let’s players on platforms such as YouTube, pushing both this game and the internet forward and giving them both further relevance. It ended up being so popular that in 2014 when it sold to Microsoft it was valued at 2.5 billion dollars. Minecraft is also known for frequently being updated with new game mechanics and mobs. In Ultimate Game Collection, all previous updates of the game are playable.
Crash Bandicoot	Although it has now been released on all major consoles through the N. Sane Collection, Crash Bandicoot was originally published by Sony for the PlayStation console and was seen as their mascot. PlayStation’s Mario. The game is a 3D platformer where you move through narrow, corridor-like levels and an occasional side scroller. So it wasn’t a huge open world collectathon like other 3D platformers of the time such as Super Mario 64 but it still features plenty of collectables and is known for fun but notoriously difficult gameplay.
Super Mario 64	When Princess Toadstool (Peach) is kidnapped again it’s up to Mario to stop her! Super Mario 64 was one of two launch titles for the Nintendo 64 console and it revolutionized the genre of 3D platformer. The genre certainly existed before it and games were striving for 3D graphics quite early into their life cycle but this was what truly brought it to the mainstream and brought a sense of exploration unlike any other platformer of the time. There are 15 stages to be found in this game, all of which are hidden somewhere in Princess Peach’s castle. As Mario, you must traverse each level looking for hidden stars and 80 are required to beat the evil Bowser. These stars can be hidden with bosses, by getting all red coins in a stage, getting 100 coins, or by other more secret means. There’s always something to do in Super Mario 64 and always a place to look for secrets.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2	The first Sonic the Hedgehog was a success but Sonic 2 is what truly made Sonic stand right next to Mario as one of the most important video game characters of all time. When the evil Dr. Robotnik is up to his old tricks again it’s up to Sonic the Hedgehog and his new friend Miles “Tails” Prowler to defeat him! Sonic must speed across 11 zones (and a rumoured hidden one?) while navigating treacherous platforming sections and defeating Robotnik’s robots. Along the way Sonic can get the opportunity to visit special bonus stages to get the Chaos Emeralds for the good ending of the game (and another special surprise). The blue blur has a huge legacy as one of the most recognizable video game characters of all time and this game is a prime example of his greatness!

Team Fortress 2	Team Fortress 2 is an online multiplayer shooter released by Valve in 2007 as part of The Orange Box collection. It features nine playable classes, all with their own distinct personalities, who fight on red or blue teams for a certain objective each match. Despite being nearly a decade old the game still has a huge dedicated player base and people who continue to play it to this day. Many characters skills or abilities compliment each other to give you an advantage in game: the medic can heal team mates, engineers can build teleporters to different places on the map, and the heavy can tank damage for the rest of the team. In order to get a win you must know the strengths of everyone on your team and work together for your objective.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney	It’s Phoenix Wright’s first day as a lawyer! And he has to defend his best friend… In a murder trial. Not the best first day on the job, but with the help of his mentor Mia Fey he might just be able to point out the contradictions in the prosectution’s arguments and prove his friend innocent. In court trial segments Phoenix must cross examine witnesses and present relevant evidence that might contradict them to find the truth of the situation. And when he does find a contradiction in the witness’s argument… OBJECTION! Evidence can be gathered in investigation segments which also show off the iconic and whimsical characters of the games. Along the way he’ll uncover secrets about himself, his friends, and the very court system he participates in. Four cases are available all presenting one mystery and an extra fifth one that was added in the DS port of this game. The Ace Attorney series has become an absolute phenomenon, appearing in anime, movies, and stage plays, and it all starts here.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes	Released originally for arcades in 2000, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is considered one of the greatest fighting games ever and the culmination of all of Capcom’s fighting game works of the 90s. The game features a massive roster of 56 characters, half coming from the Marvel comics brand and the other half coming from video games produced by Capcom, the studio behind games like Street Fighter. The game is notable for being flexible with its mechanics: huge combos are easy to pull off, screen-swiping attacks can be done with a push of a button, and if you are experienced enough you might even be able to annoy your friends with an infinite combo. Speaking of friends, the game also features an online mode to battle with people all over the world!

Aesthetic:
Inspired from the National Videogame Museum decor, the theme of the Ultimate Game Collection will be museum themed. Basically, there will be different exhibits themed about different genres. You get to see various boxarts of the video games, instruction manuals, commercials/ads, interviews from developers of the video games, see concept art, etc. You are also able to view a museum guide to take you directly to an exhibit for one of the video games in the collection. The museum is a 3D environment you can walk in with different rooms dedicated to each decades. Maybe even some other rooms for bonuses and some other fun stuff outside. Each game is on an arcade machine. This is partly inspired by those haunted PS1 demo discs things

Reveal Trailer:
My idea for this is a tribute to the Japanese ads for Super Mario All Stars. It would begin with Mario and Master Chief walking towards eachother, with the implication being that they're about to duke it out. Instead, however, they shake hands; think the Sora trailer for Smash. Shortly after, they look towards the camera as a spotlight appears and a vigorous applause starts. Steve from Minecraft appear behind them (in a suit and tie), and begins laying down red carpet into a massive building that resembles a theater. Mario and the Chief walk down that red carpet, as do some of the other characters featured in this compilation (such as Ellie, Ryu, Sonic, and the Heavy). The camera begins to pan up, revealing tonight's showing (and the logo for the compilation): ALL STARS: THE ULTIMATE GAME COLLECTION

Basically, I am thinking the layout of the museum should be by era of video games just like the National Videogame Museum in Texas. Therefore, you can explore how video games evolved and what not. This game is just a big archive of some of the most influential video games ever in the industry.

My submission for how games will be stored is that the museum is a 3D environment you can walk in with different rooms dedicated to each decades. Maybe even some other rooms for bonuses and some other fun stuff outside. Each game is on an arcade machine. This is partly inspired by those haunted PS1 demo discs things

Submit An Action-Adventure Game And/Or Sports Game

Action-Adventure is a pretty broad category so a lot of games would likely be included here, from GTA to Metroid to The Legend of Zelda basically if it fits the broad categorization of those games and isn't in any other genre we've had a job on before it counts. Sports games on the other hand are pretty self-explanatory, any games where the primary focus is to play a digitized version of a real-life sport. Chess games don't count because (spoiler alert) we'll have a job for strategy games later down the line.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

I started to make a writeup for Spider-Man 2018 at one point, but why not submit the first game that popularized action-adventure superhero games? Batman: Arkham Asylum by Rocksteady is often praised as one of the best portrayals of Batman and Gotham's rogues gallery, period. Plot twists and turns, cool gadgets, unique (for the time) combat, and one of the late Kevin Conroy's most memorable performances. Or from any of the voice actors, really - it's a fantastic cast. The stealth combat, while it's been done better in other games, is really, really fun. The game's pretty beginner friendly too, so not a bad inclusion in the context of this collection.

Honestly, I don't have a lot to say here. This game's incredibly polished and pretty hilarious. Given how a lot of it is just improving on the original NES game, I don't think there's a reason to include the Wii game's predecessor before it.

Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of time

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a action-adventure video game made by Nintendo on Nintendo 64 back in 1997 and it's about Link, a Hyrulian who is on the quest to stop the evil king Ganondorf, by traveling through time and navigating dungeons and an overworld.
The game introduced features such as a target-lock system and context-sensitive buttons that have since become common in 3D adventure games.

I feel that it would make sense to include Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time game, since it was considered as one of the greatest zelda games of all time. Plus it was a first 3D Zelda game ever made and many people know about this game to this day.
(I mean, we could also have NES Zelda game, but I've chose the OoT to have a N64 game in our collection)

Tony Hawk Pro skater

Tony Hawk's pro skater is a video game made by Neversoft and published by Activision. The player takes control of Tony Hawk (real-life skateboarder), who must do skateboard tricks while riding on it. This game spawned many sequels because it was very successful game.

This game would be first licensed game to appear in our game collection.
(I mean, skating is technically a sport though, so why not?)

Metroidvanias are a huge sub genre of action-adventure games and Super Metroid practically invented the genre. Its aesthetic is to this day practically unmatched by any other game and it popularized the idea of environmental storytelling in games as well.

NHL 94

Tough choice between this and Wii Sports for me but I went with this instead. The first hockey game made by EA, it is super fondly remembered today and helped popularize having real athletes in games along with the other EA sports games.

i choose one of most famous Sony franchises,God of War of PS2 shows a angry spartan ghost called Kratos that is quest of revenge against the greek gods,the game is a Hack n' Slash on the same style of Devil May Cry but without the guns. i wanted to put God of War 3,but i think the first game is very important for the series.

Action-Adventure Game

Adventure

This game is THE great grandfather of the action-adventure genre along with the fantasy genre. I do not believe we have any Atari games yet on the roster of games for this compilation but I feel Adventure perfectly fits this genre. Plus, this game had the first Easter egg ever in pop culture and was also a huge plot point in the cheesy novel and its movie adaption, Ready Player One. Therefore, without this game, lots of series such as The Legend of Zelda and The Elder Scrolls would not exist.

Sports Game:

Wii Sports

Moving two decades after the launch of Adventure, my sports title is none other than Wii Sports. this video game was the bundle title for the Nintendo Wii. This game was a major factor in the Wii's success alongside GameSpot in 2019 calling this game one of the most influential games of the 21st century due to its accessibility and its long-term impact for Nintendo and other hardward designers. Heck, we even got the Matt from Wii Sports meme out of this. I feel a game with broad appeal deserves to be a part of a big compilation like this. Therefore, look no further than Wii Sports.

The defining title of the 2D platformer genre, Building off of previous titles featuring the then-ambigious Mario character and taking heavy cues from Namco's Pac-Land, Super Mario Bros. brought the side scrolling platformer into the mainstream and established Nintendo as THE gaming company for quite some time with it's tight platforming and creative secrets. Almost every Nintendo console since has featured some iteration of the game, while the original sprite artwork and sound effects continue to pop up in Nintendo titles to this day. With the Ultimate Game Collection, it can finally be experienced legally on Sony and Microsoft hardware.

From simply creating rows of blocks, this game was a world wide phenomenon. In fact, Tetris has been published by several companies for multiple platforms, Nintendo most notably for their GameBoy. With the Ultimate Game Collection, you can gain the Tetris effect just by reliving the puzzle experience.

DOOM
DOOM is one of the earliest FPS games and it was developed by ID Software. Coming off the heels of the highly influential Wolfenstein 3D, ID Refined the design philosophies they established there and also with the help of new technology they created DOOM. The legacy of this game has endured over the years due to its high replayability and the fact that the game does not require that much power, allowing it to be played on basically anything with a screen and CPU.

I'll do a profile for Street Fighter II for today:
After the decently faring Street Fighter, Capcom followed it up with the hugely successful sequel Street Fighter II, featuring both playable characters: Ryu and Ken, returning alongside Street Fighter's main villain Sagat, and a whole host of new fighters from around the world. This game features much smoother controls and easier to pull off special moves which made it a hit that gave 1-on-1 fighting games the push they needed to truly become a successful genre and even a competitive e-sport!
