@Kel, Another reason why the rule is gone. Because people have multiple definitions of planking, and yes, it can be seen as many ways. My view on it can be different than anyone else. I thought that over. Rule is gone.
And I also asked opinions if it was okay to change the rules, people felt I should be able to change it any time even if it is the day before. (But no one does that.) It's over a month away, I think changing it now is fine.
Also, if people have problems with TKO please take it elsewhere. x'=

Uh, that rule didn't ban any infinite. I'm really confused as to why you took it off.
Well, I guess I'm going to try to cg people till 999% to win heh. That rule is really necessary imo, but whatever. I really think you still don't understand what that rule is saying. It in no way shape or form bans any infinite/combo..anything. It doesn't ban wall locks, it doesn't ban chaingrabs against walls, it doesn't ban anything. It is saying you must kill your opponent by 300% if you infinite them. Going over that % will be considered stalling. It also prevents people from somehow staying under a stage(sonics homing stall for example even though it doesn't really work) where people can't reach them without dying.
As far as planking goes, the no stalling rule has nothing to do with it. Planking is too subjective and is up to the TO. It's either banned or not, if it's banned it's usually easiest to keep track of with a LGL, otherwise you need judges.
Think about this. Since you took that rule off, if I grab someone once I win if I don't drop the cg. While this would make the tournament easier for me I don't really think it's fair in the slightest.

I'm with Hylian even though I don't know much about competitive brawl.
If all it takes to win a tourney is learning the IC chain grab.... then somethin's wrong.
And as far as board games go, I'm tempted to bring Would You Rather? TBB knows how awesome it is :3c

This rule is necessary, I agree, but only as a precaution. I don't think someone going over 300% with an infinite is going to happen. Ever.
Honestly, no ones going to try to pull that. But it's a good precaution.

Doing it to 300 against a character you are best at cging isn't that hard. But I agree going to 999% without dropping would be unlikely.

Maybe. I might be going Fox this tournament. I kind of got out of the whole "play to win" thing and have been doing that in Starcraft instead. I'm probably going to spend this tournament having fun, embarassing people, or irritating people, or some combination therein.

Even if you don;t get them to 999, you still stall more time that could have been used by the opponent to catch up after losing a stock.

Alright, katakiri and I are pretty much coming to this. As long as no unforeseen force blocks us we will be there. Anyways, I will be brining my normal set up, an extra TV and a recording set up. Katakiri said that he will be brining a complete set up as well.
