so fatal, it isn't proven that it's unaccounted. it might be, i have no doubt of it, but don't make false claims :/ also , i don't think your paypal idea is right, it's not just. you're doing no better than him, stealing.

i know you're just trying to help, but i feel it isn't the right choice of action.

negativity for the negativity.

ok guys here is the plan. attached to every tournament local or not we add a $1 "Plank f@(ked up fee".

Venue fee: $5 (or what have you)
entry fee: $10
Plank f@(ked up fee: 1$
keeping people out of the **** hole for the sake of America: priceless

ATTN: Everyone who Paid for pound within 2weeks or less of Reg closing you can dispute the charge on PayPal. This will work out if people do it with me. Dispute that you did not get what you paid for and then select "Other tangible goods" and write about what happend.
wont doing this ruin planks credit?

tbh i think the best option is to wait until this news isnt so hot anymore, gather everyone who was owed money and tell them not to talk or post about the matter anymore and only talk with others who were owed money PRIVATELY, and take action in around 3 weeks when this news wont be so hot and plank would be ready to talk and stuff. just my ignorant opinion here cuz i wasnt there i guess.

Fatal wouldn't you rather that we work this out with plank so that he could pay everyone back without this turning into a nasty situation? I'm not saying Plank necessarily will since he hasn't said what he would do one way or the other lately but we should at least wait and see what he thinks about everything before getting so quick to take the money back from him.

And if you dislike what he's doing so much why would you do it back to him? That doesn't make it okay man.

yeah but you're also messing other winners chance of getting some back.

So in a way, you would win money and **** everybody else.

Not a smart choice. + it's 50$ you're owed, comon.

Let plank handle it.

I paid money for the chance to win money and yes I placed and I'm owed 50. So yeah your right lol.
Fifty.

Dollars.

Dude. PP (and Ally and the others) placed in the g's. If anybody has a right to *****, it's him (them), not you. He's (they) clearly taking the high road here and maybe you should too. Wait and see what happens.

I also agree with Ksizzle's post.

and the paypal dispute is 60 bucks so. It's not about how much it is it's about whats mine. It will work GUARANTEED if more people do it. By myself it might be hard
What you submitted through PayPal was to enter the tournament with, so you DID get what you paid for in that regard. Potentially doing something that could ruin the guy's credit over 50-60 bucks is just ****ed up man.

Are you guys morons? It does not affect the guys credit.. I submitted venue + Entry fee through paypal... The only effect it would have would shut down his paypal for fraud

He has mentioned the possibility of hosting other tournaments to pay people back, but he wasn't interested while people were hating on him so much. I'm suggesting that we show Plank respect and we as a community accept that he made a mistake(well in a way the community did too but I don't think they knew it was that big of a deal so I guess its debatable) but work with him to help make it up. Everyone got hit from this so we can all come together under a common cause to make things better.

Now, if Plank doesn't want to host anything because we pissed him off badly/too many people want to get him or whatever then I guess that's his decision. He's not forced to do anything. And I guess it just leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth if that's how it goes down but oh well.

Plank, if you read this, I'd really love to see a post from you giving your thoughts on things at the moment because we're kinda stuck on things until you do.

I agreed with Pee'ing.

I'm not as mad as before I would rather talk with Plank at this point. Whoever didn't win money shouldn't post here anymore at all. I forgive Plank for failing I guess =l

You've clearly never done anything with PayPal before.

Hmm...and here I wanted to become a TO soon. After seeing how quick people are to bring out the guillotine over a mistake in this (Brawl) community, I'll just say "**** it" to working my way up to hosting nationals. Heh.

It really sucks that, even though both communities are afflicted by this, the Smash community as a whole is still split.

I wish it wasn't. Things like this would go a lot smoother.

all the people defending plank dont realize how deeply this impacts

1) armadas life
2) mew2kings life
3) every TO from now on

Also at people saying I should discuss jpobs quotes instead of flaming him:

no i shouldn't, some people r just *******, now way around it

most people only debate to prove theyre right, and will use all kinds of tricks to be seen as right (logical and reasoning errors, humor, all kinds of appeals, holy **** everything they can to seem right)

try debating anyone on the internet with an opinion and youll see what i mean. debate is only to see if you ccan get more people to agree with you than them, not about discovering whats right
dont be naive

jpobs is a moron

anyone talking about morality relativism and 40% of $0 payout is an idiot or troll

there is enough precedent in terms of tournaments to completely forgo any "contract"

stop talking about a TO "contract" also, a contracts (binding ones) exist without signatures and paper.
yeah youd have a really good chance in small claims court just saying

also jpobs is a ******. and censor dodging is harder now :( sad

that M2k quote has been my sig for like 6 months, cant believe no one else sigged it (from chibo vs M2K rage thread)

Its good to see ally being...not mad ally....

I really think its the best step to recovery. If plank can host tournaments, and raise money, the winners, plank and the community would benefit.

And the flaming could stop LOL.
