They should give everyone a free month of PSN+ for compensation IMO. It'll give normal PSN players a taste and may encourage them to extend their paid subscription when the trial is over.

I assumed you could only buy PSN+ in increments of months, not weeks. That's an even worse idea F8AL
I would agree on a week or something, but a month seems too much
Good point. How about making an arcade game free for a month? (That's what they did when XBL went down back in '07)It would be pointless to have PSN+ for a month. Doesn't the stuff you get get locked again once you unsubscribe?
In any case, I don't think is is as bad as (yet) the Xbox fiasco when live went down for a week in 2008
I'm thinking that too.Maybe they should just discount everything in the store.
Yes.Yeah it's been down for a bit. I've been platinuming Shattered Dimensions/playing offline on MK so meh.
Do you guys know if the God of War I/II games have trophies on the ps3? I doubt they do, but just wondered.
Same, it makes me play games which I wouldn't normally play and do stuff out of the ordinary.^ Sweet. Iunno why, but I love the trophy/achievement system.
Hey, they just like to shake things up over there. Maybe it'll start a giant wave of psn working across the globe.Freaking Japanese always get everything first
Wow. Did you really just go there?Hey, they just like to shake things up over there. Maybe it'll start a giant wave of psn working across the globe.
Werekill, I know you were just making a joke, but some family friends of mine and a friend I know from the city both know people in the areas of Japan that got affected, so I have to say that was kind of in bad taste. Yeah, I get you didn't mean anything by it, but it probably wasn't the best time.Hey, they just like to shake things up over there. Maybe it'll start a giant wave of psn working across the globe.
That's awful yet hilarious. In other news, Sony still has no timeframe on when PSN will be back up. Could be weeks for all we know.Hey, they just like to shake things up over there. Maybe it'll start a giant wave of psn working across the globe.
Oh joy...That's awful yet hilarious. In other news, Sony still has no timeframe on when PSN will be back up. Could be weeks for all we know.
According to PSX-Scene former moderator, "chesh," the now six-day-long PlayStation Network outage is the result of a particularly exploitative custom firmware (CFW) modification for PS3. In a post on Reddit, chesh claims that a CFW known as "Codename: Rebug" had given its users the ability to log into PSN as if they were doing so from a developer console (or "debug unit").
As a result, chesh contends, this same exploit allowed its users to add funds from "dummy" credit card accounts into their PSN wallets, ostensibly giving them the ability to "unlock" (read: steal) certain PlayStation Store content.
I also love the achievement system.I try to 100% everything but I have a lot of stuff to get around to.well I'm a hardcore perfectionist. I love beating them 100% and then being done with it. (Some exceptions: When Pokemon is done I'll still play online some, but it's beaten to me. Mortal Kombat will be the same)
:D I hate the fact SSFIV is at 19%. It kills me. MvC3 is 64%, and Sonic1 is 90%. That's fairly acceptable imo.
Check the MvC3 topic. I posted my PSN there. Just let me know it is you.Add me while you're on, if you get the chance.
I only had $2.87 in my PSN wallet, so I'm not overly concerned about it.
