I would be fine with Kataefi was instead of Jujux (I prefer my pick only because he'd be most familiar with the metagame over there, and I like someone bringing the European meta game over into the discussion---no segregation of regions). I like KayLo! because she is constantly posting on here, can be brutally honest, and we <3 her. DM & Riot have been generally accepted as USA's best, and I am always posting and can do the Brawl+ side of things.

Kat, you'd be great on the panel because you stay up with the community, you're a fair talent evaluator, and you are very organized. All are great qualities.

Oh lol okay, well anything to do with organisation just swing it my way and I'll help out But yeah as far as the euro touch goes, I'd definitely recommend Jujux over me.

I also think Veggi should definitely be on the panel. Are we limiting it to 5? Or is there no limit?

Small panel would be preferable although it's up to you guys I honestly don't care.

Top players don't necessarily have to be on the panel as I know a lot of top players don't really concern themselves with how other smashers perform and might not know enough about stuff like that.

Last one is a tie and can be either or. I really don't care.

My reasons are long and boring so I wont put any for right now.

@Kata: 5 is really preferred for a panel. Especially since the amount of tourney Zelda is very small.

This. As long as the people on the panel know Zelda's metagame and the overall Brawl metagame well (in terms of which players/regions are generally better than others), they don't all necessarily need to be top players themselves.

I didn't put JuJux for sure because I still think European players (all.... 1 of them, lol) should be noted apart from the main list. But if we're strictly limiting ourselves to 5 and we're listing Europe along with the US, I think he should replace Veggie.

Also, I <3 Riot, but I'm kinda eh about him being on the panel. He seems very "soft-spoken" on the boards, and from my limited experience with panel talk (from the Pikas..... and hearing firsthand stories about state panel discussions), people who don't actively put forth their opinions end up being deadweight and slow down the process.

However, he's a top Zelda and undoubtedly has the experience/knowledge, so I listed him (with Veggie as backup if he's iffy about it).

@Kata: I think you could bring a very diplomatic voice to the panel, which would be awesome, but I dunno if you know the US metagame well enough to make judgment calls between two players who're ~equal.

In KayLo!'s case, she put 6 people instead of 5 and definitively put in Jujux over Veggie depending on how we were handling the rankings while stating her in ability to choose between Riot and Veggie.

I thought it was a legitimate vote.

I definitely think it should be Riot + Veggie, but:
- if we're really putting Europe (a.k.a. JuJux) on the list, JuJux should replace Veggie because of his knowledge of the European metagame.
- if Riot's iffy about being on the panel, Veggie should replace Riot (and JuJux would automatically fill the leftover spot).

I just don't want people on the panel who aren't going to contribute. >< If it's gonna be a panel of 5, it should be a panel of 5, not "3 or 4 + those guys who don't really say much."

Hey, I just won a tourney in holland with Zelda as a secondary. 35 entrants, entry fee was 10 euros.

tbh we'd want people who keep up with tournaments and are vocal with opinions and such. it doesn't take the best to figure out who the best is. and during my time as a panelist for my state i can say that the top players aren't always the top contributors. of course i'm not directing this at anyone, it's just what i've observed.

limiting it to 5 may not be the best idea either, but if you've noticed a trend...i chose mainly the more outspoken people

I think limiting votes to 5 is good, but I don't think limiting the panel to 5 is necessarily the answer. It's like I said earlier, someone should ask if you (or the other players gaining votes) even want to be a panelist.

So Veggie, would you accept a nomination as a panelist?

@ above two posts: awesome! I like having the top talent on the panel. Our talent is critical of their own play and able to criticize how others play.

Depending on how many more votes we go, we have 7 candidates receiving support, and I have no problems with any of the 7. Just throwing it out there if we wanted a 7 person panel.
