Yes! Verification by 2012 join-date. I'm definitely correct then.

Score is therefore:

Normal KK - Some big number, maybe like 7

Chemically Hindered KK - 1

Bones0 - 0

Suck it, Bones0!

Well I use to come here a lot back when it was all Melee, I play Roy as my Fifth character behind Ganondorf, Falco, Marth and my main C. FALCON!

Plattform camping: Yeah I have thought about cancel my moves with help from a plattform and it is something that possibly will be in my game in the future. I don't think that's the way to play the MU against Puff though because the more I think about fighting puff in the air it workes worse. Peach is a bit to slow with her moves (even if this helps the first move still need to come out).
Yeah I don't think camping platforms will work for Peach either. I don't think the developments with platforms (namely shield drop stuff) really helps Peach because Puff's aerial mobility & bair range mix gives her enough safety (I don't think shield drop [float] bair will reach). I'm also interested to see how Puff's dair could interact with a shielding character on a platform. Seems like it might be potentially good (push Peach off if she's close enough to the edge, hit her, edgecancel the dair into something else maybe? I dunno).

It also feels like you're opening yourself up to uairs. I'd bet Puff could shark under Peach pretty effectively with DJs and the threat of uair. And even if she hit Peach's shield, I'd bet she could drift out of the way of whatever shield drop punish was attempted if it came down to it. Puff's uair is really vertically disjointed and hits surprisingly far horizontally.

I don't think turnips do much if you camp platforms. Feels like just by being so high your projectile arcs are more limited and don't hit important relevant areas. Puff doesn't really have to work to avoid turnips in general and I think going on the platforms exacerbates this because it becomes harder (and often impossible) to follow up on them and punish poor aerial swats and such. Turnips are terrible as a straight camping projectile anyway. They're not Fox laser, Sheik needle, etc. They're really more like a longer arm on Peach's aerials.

So... shield probably won't do anything new. Turnips probably won't do much up there. This leaves Peach with her aerials. And we already know Peach's aerials lose to Puff's bair most of the time. Being on a platform doesn't change this.

I think maneuvering the whole stage a bit more might be worth investigating, but I don't think Peach is built for playing around atop platforms for extended periods of time like Fox, Sheik, and to a lesser degree Falcon are.

the idea is that it's the weapon of choice for native americans
and they're fearless
so they'll just jump at u

and empty hop -> grab is so ****ing brutal and fearless, like a native american warrior

Is it me or has Fox never really won a national in a while? I've usually seen Falco winning nationals like in Zenith 2012 Dr. PP won with Falco.

Would this mean Falco will be above Fox in the next tier list?

Falco may be higher than fox in the next tier list, but it would not be specifically for that reason, no.

PP wins national: "See, Falco is soooo broken, OMG!"
Armada wins national: "Wow, Armada is just too good with such a horrible character."

Based on the mission statement, the tier list should be decided on tournament results.

So Peach should be first, Puff should be second, Falco should be third, and Fox should be fourth.

fox has like 60% of the entire brackets in most nationals

javi outplaced PP

mango uses fox for his most important matches

gtfo
fox may make bracket but he rarely does anything significant. besides javi and mango( who still uses falco btw) , when was the last time a fox main did something?

besides armada
besides m2k
besides hbox

...

how deep into brackets are we willing to look?

is this a tier list of high level play, or top level play, or absolute tip-top level play?

I don't understand why most of the community is so unrelenting in their need to use abstract, arbitrary bunk like "character potential" as a means of determining tier lists.

Everyone wants there to be some objective "true tierlist" that we can pull out of thin air by looking at character hitboxs, speed, matchup spread, when truthfully, all that goes to hell in a tournament setting anyway.

I don't see the need to have a tierlist which doesn't accurately represent the metagame. If some characters are being more successful than others atm, then just move them up/down and change it again in a few months. Why the **** does everyone have such a hardon for stagnant tierlists?

And the funniest thing is that in general, no one will complain about suddenly moving a crap character up into higher tiers (like puff jumpig from mid to 3rd, or pika going up) as long as they are only passing characters that don't matter. But as soon as you suggest that a "good" character should move down because they aren't putting up results, everyone gets their panties in a jumble.

tl;dr Marth should be like 8th.

How good a character is isn't a cause of how many players represent that character at top level play

Top level players should only help you see the capabilities of a character, not define them

The first post clearly states that the tier list is a prediction of tournament placings at top level play.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to indicate that while top level play does not define a character, it does define it's placement on the tier list.
