Congrats M2k on the win, yet again.

We looked to have a lot of upsets this past weekend, even more than the previous MLG event! Midwest came out in numbers, securing some of the many major upsets of the weekend. Congratulations to everyone involved!

KEN, THE MARTH MAIN RETURNS TO SMASH?! and he's actually been practicing Brawl for the last like 2 years and challenges M2K to a 500 dollar money match on the spot. Man that would be BUT WAIT WHAT'S THIS?! I know someone is gonna count them. There are 7 MKs in the Top 16. That's almost half. On the bright side, out of the other 9 players in the Top 16, the characters don't repeat. So there's your diversity.

As for the rest of the list, there are only 3 more MKs, and the rest are even more diverse, adding Toon Link, Peach, Wario, and Luigi.

I haven't kept up with Tekken 6 but all Tekken games before that were extremely unbalanced and the results a lot more one-sided than either MLG Brawl event.

Irrelevant if one character continues to dominate everyone else. It's exciting to see a top Snake player like Ally struggle against ZSS and Ike. It's stupid to see that same top player reduced to so little in the finals.

Can anyone confirm which characters Lee Martin actually played? The official blog lists MK / Diddy Kong in its only Lee Martin related post, but that was for a match that Lee lost. Did he play Lucario as a main or not?

He seemed to use mk the majority of the time from what I saw.

I saw him beat Esam with Lucario though and he used lucario against ally's snake but didn't win.

No, pro-ban, this is actually varied. 4 MKs in the top 8, pikachus, ZSS in the top 3... Although someone going just Ike and placing anywhere in the top 64 makes me wonder what the hell went wrong. This isn't that bad, and my belief that one of these MLG tournaments will have 5 MKs in top 5 hasn't happened yet...

Good job NR, ESAM, Ally and other high-placing non-MK mains (and M2K because he won).
