I don't have a problem with them adding to the ending, I would like to see where all my old squaddies were during the events of the end, but it's not going to be closure, closure is "2000 years later the Krogan killed everyone".

You should check out Bioware's forums though, this statement they've released has generated almost as much hate as the ending, about 60 or 70% of the Retakers are furious that they're adding to the ending and clarifying it for free.

But regardless, yeah I'm glad that through their whining I get something for free. Even though it seems over half of them absolutely hate what we're getting.

Good lord. Those people should be THANKING Bioware for doing this. I swear, some people will just NEVER be happy no matter what you do.

I think the reason they're angry is because they wanted a completely new ending, not stuff added onto the current one. As for me, I did want a new ending, but if the extension stuff tells me what happens to my squadmates and all that I'd probably be satisfied with that, plus its free, which is great.

Unrelated to the ending, I'm worried about something. EA is known for taking down the servers for multiplayer games, so they are most likely going to take down the servers for ME3 in a few years or maybe even just one year knowing them. Once the mp is down, I'm worried that getting the "best" choices for your ending will be impossible because your galactic readiness will go down to 0% and without mp servers it'll be impossible to raise galactic readiness. I'm thinking about posting my concerns about this on the Bioware forums because this will become an issue at some point.

Well the best they can do is extend the time of it's life.

It has to close down eventually.
What I'm hoping for is that once the mp servers go down, they'll make one last patch to ME3 so galactic readiness doesn't matter anymore and doesn't effect your war assets so that you can still fully enjoy single player.

I'm sure I'll be done with MP by then, LOL.
Yeah, but your galactic readiness continually goes down unless you play mp. So if I decide to do another ME3 playthrough after the servers are taken offline, I won't be able to get a decent amount of war assets because my galactic readiness will be continually be plumetting and since mp no longer works at that point it'll be impossible to get any of the decent endings.

Edit: And I know that this won't be an issue for a few years at least. However, I think this will definitely become an issue eventually, hopefully by then Bioware will have a solution to this, otherwise fans will be even more pissed off then they are now.

Not to sound like a douche, but the amount of people who will still be playing ME3 a few years from now will probably not be enough cost wise to keep running servers for online. But yes, that is a problem when you associate MP with SP. Given that I initially wanted missions that enhanced the story...**** woulda sucked if EA took the servers down lmao.

I don't care if the servers go down, its just when they go down I hope that Bioware finds some solution like removing galactic readiness or making it stay at 100 percent no matter what since the servers will be offline. I doubt it would cost that much to do a fix like that when the time comes to take down the servers. Since its EA though I doubt they will give a crap about this issue but who knows.

Speaking of nice. I finally got one of those Premium Spectre packs. It proceeded to give me some stuff, and then the Asari Adept AND Krogan Sentinel. Admittedly, I would've preferred Krogan Soldier, but holy hell is that awesome and worth it. I now have at least 1 class from every race now.

I don't think it's worth getting upset over yet. I will just wait and see what the extended cut turns out to be. The idea of a god kid who's been sitting on the Citadel for centuries without detection from anyone(especially protheans) Is something that I would like to see explained. Saving organics from machines by creating machines that murder organics is fail logic. Especially when have magic buttons already that can combine all synthetics and organics as well as destroy all synthetics....why not make a destroy all organics button to save time? I could go for pages but I'll just wait and see what they explain. The hole that was dug looks to deep in my opinion but there is no need to rage over content I haven't seen yet.

I'm assuming it'll just show your teammates, like Grunt and everyone else looking into the sky as the Citadel explodes and the pulse passes over them. Then maybe like some dialogue of people finding out what's happening and then some "We can rebuild, we've saved the galaxy yay" dialogue.

Then a black screen and a line of text saying "2000 years later the Krogan killed everyone" lol.

Regarding your second thing, I'm sure they'll just release a patch that keeps your readiness at 100%.

No one knows where the Keepers come from yet the Citadel has kept that secret, the Catalyst would be much harder to discover, especially as no one's looking for it. Also the Prothean's ability fades over time, Javik only barely felt Grunt and he was only there a few months ago. Plus there's nothing to say they can sense Synthetics, and clearly their abilities aren't that good otherwise they'd have learned about the Reapers as soon as they touched a Keeper.

Also they aren't killing all organics, they're turning advanced organics into Reapers every 50,000 years, which is different from wiping out all organic life. Regardless of your opinions on that, the fact is it's not circular logic. Also it was the Crucible that merged life, and that only came about because the Crucible also changed his perspective, there was no magic button on the Citadel that did this.

But then why didn't the Reapers just build the crucible?
They'd never considered those other options. It's easier if you think of the Crucible like a big battery basically, that adjusts the AI of the Catalyst. It obviously changed it a lot too seeing as though it was willing to let you kill it.

The origins of the Crucible are also up for debate. Were they created by the fist race that created the Catalyst? A different race that discovered the Catalyst? Or maybe the Reapers themselves as some sort of test.

Don't those change from time to time?

I got one of those Jumbo Equipment Packs and I totally regret my decision xD

Yeah, they're in the rotation of week to week packs, that include the Equipment Pack, Jumbo Equipment Pack, and Premium Veteran Pack. I notice, I now find myself buying 2 Recruit Packs after every Silver mission when I'm trying to save up money so that I'm making 20,000 credits at a time and getting some Commons out of the way for when I go for Spectre Packs. Seems to work alright.

Because a minority of fans not a minority of people that voted on that poll.

I really shouldn't have to explain that.
You understand that a MAJORITY is needed to win a vote, right?

I'm sure your point is that not everyone on the planet wasn't polled. But out of the people on the planet who did participate, the majority won, not the minority. Maybe it's the sleep-deprived, over-worked ODIN who's not making sense. I don't know. Bananas.

Well, to be fair to the Retake movement, the goal was to get a NEW ending. Not ADD to the ending.

I'm glad it's free. As someone who will have a mortgage very soon, free is good. These days, free is unheard of too.

But I will say this...

A hole filled with **** is just a puddle with sewage.

...SHUT UP! MY POINT MAKES SENSE!

There's a lot of holes that need filling (giggity), and that's what I'm worried about.

Even if they EXPLAIN what happens, happened, etc., if it's still ****ty, it won't matter if it's free or not.

Don't those change from time to time?

With how often I save my credits, I wish they had EQ packs more often. I need Med Gel and Missiles like crazy. D:

You're sleep deprived Odin. You're getting that poll being the majority muddled up with the minority of fans that are the Retake movement.

The Retake movement, whilst being a minority of fans, would still be a big enough majority to make EA win in that poll, but they'd still be a minority of fans.

Just throwing it out there, but just in case nobody's seen this yet...

Seeing as though you can solo Bronze Reapers with a Human Vanguard, a Krogan Vanguard will rip through things.
It could be me but...does anybody else get this odd feeling that Geth Infiltrator won't have Cloak, like Turian and Krogan Soldier don't have Adrenaline Rush? Even though it would make the most sense for Geth Infiltrator to?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeaaaaaaaaaah......

It's also the first hit on someone's tumblr if you google image search Krogan Vanguard.

I'd never get the actual credit, but deep down...

I know I did good. :chuckle:

Krogan Soldier builds? D;
It depends on what you want really. If you want to rage on people with heavy weapons then you are better off maxing everything else and not getting Carnage at all.

If you want to be able to fight enemies consistantly without having to run to get more nades...then you should put into Carnage but be warned...with heavy weapons the cooldown will be nasty.

Arch pretty much has it down, and I just reset my Soldier (and I'm at work) so I can't see what I'm at.

In some ways, Fortification isn't that great. It doesn't buff your defense as much as Tech Armor. It taps out at 30% if you take all the buffs. It's not bad, but that means Fortification has to be on constantly to get that buff. And Inferno Grenades aren't that amazing.

Is it worthless? No. Neither are Inferno Grenades. The thing is, the Soldier really pales in comparison to his larger crested bro, the Sentinel (And if Barrier will be as awesome as I think it will, the Vanguard). So consider somethings before you make a build:

Durability, melee, or damage?

And if you go damage, recharge or refill?

Get back to me when you decide. I'll think of something. :)

Man o man!

You had better believe I'm gonna be a Geth.
I'm excited. I think Geth are going to be pretty invaluable. I can't wait to see all of the skills for the new classes.
