Are you guys dissecting one of many quotes to be wrong, or several others? I mean, if he is a journalist and he got one wrong...well that's on him, but if he's right on the others, I don't think it's right to be throwing the whole thing into the wind. I'm just having a hard time keeping up with what's "accurate" and not in that giant quote.

So in other words, do your own research to find out how true it is because the OP, and by extension you for throwing it around like him, have previously been shown to be inaccurate?
.....it's like talking to a 5 year old....:glare:

What you are experiencing is called a logical fail. Have you ever been mistaken before or inaccurate in the slightest of ways? If you have....then how can I trust anything you are saying ever? Especially when your mind is under the control of synthetic and organic hybrid machines that were created to kill all organics so that synthetics would not kill all organics. :awesome:

The whole point is it's best to do your own research.

Please, I fully expect you to call me out instantly when I proclaim others to be lying whilst using lies myself. Until then it's really up to you whether or not you believe anything I post.

Difference is this OP and you have been caught out. There is proof that not everything he was saying was accurate, he even updated his OP admiting that, and now tells people to go and do their own research. You were also throwing around his false information too in a hope of deceiving people, and now you're agreeing with me that it's better to do your own research if you want to find out if Bioware were lying or not, as the OP and by extension you are not reliable sources of information.

I've been mostly ignoring you since you used that "having your mother *****" analogy, and the one time I stop ignoring you I manage to get you to admit not all the "lies" you've been posting were actually lies, and that it's better to do your own research than listen to you. All without incredibly childish insults.

Random noise....
Allow me to clarify since you've been throwing around the mother ***** thing quite a bit yourself. I simply asked you at one point how you would feel about such a thing. I never said anything else in regards to it because you never answered me...although I'm pretty sure the answer is obvious.

The reason I brought it ups is because at the time of the initial outrage you seemed to lack the ability to relate. So I was going to offer you a chance to understand why you are different from Mass effect fans. so allow me to complete the analogy.

Scene 1: You come home from work, turn on the T.V. to discover a stranger you know has been *****. You think to yourself oh wow that sucks for her.. *turns channel*

Scene 2: You come home from work, you get a call notifying you that your mother has been *****. You feel all kinds of emotional changes from sadness to rage and everywhere in between.

The point being Pluvia that when it comes to the mass effect Universe you seemed to play the part of the guy in Scene 1. I find it hard to believe you are at all emotionally invested in the characters or universe in anyway. So it made sense that you could overlook the millions of plot holes and general sense of wrong in terms of the ending in how it relates to the game. However other people who really gave a **** are going to have a completely different reaction to the game. As for the insults....you make it difficult not to at times. You are just such a blockhead that it seems like nothing accept what you want to get inside of your head gets in. Why do you think everyone keeps calling you indoctrinated? What is it about Bioware outside of money that would cause you to take such a firm stance next to their ***** with your lips puckered? You are going to have to explain it. Use an analogy if you want but try to give everyone else a reason not to think you a stubborn fool.

Your initial analogy was slightly different, but regardless you are still using an analogy to having your mother *****.

Anyway before you change the subject, you admit that not everything you posted previously (regarding Bioware lying) was actually a lie? And, despite previously claiming they were lying, you've had to adjust your stance as you were incorrect, but you only discovered you were incorrect when someone else did their own research and discovered your cherry-picked sources weren't completely correct?

And now the best thing to do if you want to know if Bioware were lying is your own research, as you're not sure whether or not all your information is accurate?

In regards to your question, you were calling me indoctrinated yet you also admited I was right? So in other words, why don't I listen to people who childlishly insult me yet eventually admit I was right?

No not everything is a lie thanks for pointing that out.

Besides I only wanted to alert people as to what was happening over at BWF's became alot of people here may not know. Besides you are making a far bigger deal out of the single(of nearly a hundred) that was corrected after the thread was created. What do you have to say about the other 99 statements? Aside from ooh they may not be real. Well why don't you check them out yourself and tell everyone here what you find about the interviews. You supposedly stand on the side of justice on some kind of superhero stupid **** yet you turn a blind eye to the injustices of Bioware themselves. You still have yet to explain yourself in that regard. You want to talk about inaccuracies. Why don't you talk about the inaccuracy the creators of ME3 have when describing their own goddamn game.....

Show me the proof that everything that has ever been quoted is incorrect. Then show me the correct quotes. Then show me that they did not lie about anything in regards to Mass Effect 3 and I will not only leave this thread for good but I will change my signature to Pluvia is my daddy and he pwns my butthole for the rest of my smashboards life.

Fantastic. Just wanted everyone to know that's it's better to do their own research than listen to you and that OP as, even though you've been throwing around accusations of deceit and backing it up with "evidence", your cherry-picked sources may not be the whole picture and you're not a reliable source of information. I could also question whether you were intentionally trying to deceive us because that Gamble quote came up in this thread before the game even came out, yet you still suspiciously failed to mention it when quoting all of Bioware's "lies".

It's really disappointing that you and the OP were throwing around false information. Whether or not someone wants to believe everything else you've posted, despite the fact you were caught out, is up to them. But I really, really hope that people will be smart enough to do their own research from now on.

And will I listen to someone who throws around incredibly childish insults, compares the ending to getting their mother *****, and tries to deceive people into believing Bioware were lying when they weren't? No.

where is your evidence mate? I got a pretty substantial amount for myself.

according to your logic you don't know how to do Math if you get a 90% on a Math test and not a 100. Can you say that everything is wrong and support it with evidence? no you can't. So you keep doing the same old song and dance because you are weak and so is your non-existing argument. If you want to convince me or anyone else that bioware is a company run by angels who want the best for those who by their products then show me the evidence. Show me 1 thing. Just 1.

Show evidence that you were throwing around false information that made the claim Bioware were lying when they weren't? And therefore, it has shown that you're not a reliable source of information because your cherry-picked quotes might not be correct and the only time you're willing to admit this is when you're called out on it?

Or

Show evidence that everything above is a good enough reason for me to believe that you were intentionally trying to deceive us?

The one with Gamble proclaiming there's a Reapers win scenario. The OP cleverly missed out the part where Gamble clarified it, and so did Archangel, until the OP was called out on it. I say that if you claim Bioware have been lying, whilst lying yourself, you have no legs to stand on. You could say the OP and Archangel weren't actually lying and just didn't know, but that's irrelevant as the conclusion is the same: They're not a reliable source of information.

Pretty much, if you want to find out if Bioware were lying, it's better to do your own research.

Yeah I'm sure it's possible, it'd just take quite a while. You'd just have to watch out if they clarified it at a later date (but still, before the game came out). All I was here to do was show that that OP and Archangel aren't reliable sources of information as something they claimed to be true, and used in an attempt to make Bioware look worse, wasn't actually true.

I couldn't sit back and watch people fan the flames with false information.

Regardless of who is right about the quotes, its not gonna change people's opinions on the endings.

Of course, it's just we can't trust you or that OP to show us these.

Like I've been saying, if you want to find out if Bioware were lying, you'll have to do your own research, which undermines that massive unreliable post.

Look, both of you have your points. Arch, next time, it's best to check the source itself before copy and pasting what has been said to make sure everything is in order. Spreading false information is not what should be strived for, intentional or not. Pluvia, I think you are taking one error a bit too far. Arch's point is not to intentionally spread lies, but to prove that there have been a lot of statements made by Bioware that were greatly exaggerated or proven false. I think both of you are being a bit too narrow minded in not acknowledging the other's faults.

Yeah, I'll go back to ignoring him like I was since he used that ****** your mother analogy. No point doing a back and forth thing like we're on the verge of doing.

I think he only used that analogy because you've been complaining about fans in general using that analogy for a while now.

It's funny because there really isn't any plot holes in my ending.

Everyone is dead, including Shepard and the people who remained on the Normandy escaped.

Speaking of the ending:

Free DLC coming out this summer.

And here's another article helping explain it more.

Basically they're listening to the minority that voted EA worse than Bank of America and

"Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned."
I like this though, they didn't change it yet I'll still get to see my "2000 years later the Krogan killed everyone" ending.

how can the minority be the minority if they vote EA worse than Bank of America? The minority shouldn't be able to make that big of a decision.

as for the ending DLC I'll wait and see but I get the feeling this could do more harm than good...but it's free. I can't help but feel like I should be payed to play it though. I don't see anyway to extend the current endings and make sense of them. The whole indoctrination theory isn't even a possibility at this point. So that means all of the endings and what happens before them have to be explained another way but there is no other way to fill so many holes in the plot that I can see. I'll wait and see what happens though.

Because a minority of fans not a minority of people that voted on that poll.

I really shouldn't have to explain that.

but your logic fails. It's like saying the Majority of Americans hate America because the Majority of them don't vote in any of the elections.

Well the minority speaks louder than the majority, in this case.

'Cause, you know, lol, the majority never say anything.

Out of the fans, the majority says that ending is the sux0rs. Out of the whole community of buyers, that majority of fans is a damn minority.

Though, I want to see some documentation. I haven't seen anything on how bad our average buyer took the ending.

That would be interesting. You should also take into account alot of people were buyers of the hype. I'd say a significant amount of players that didn't mind the ending or liked the ending turned out to have not played the previous games or even the previous one.

As for the Silent majority...i'm pretty sure there are an even amount of people who hated the ending but didn't bother joining forums to do so. They just returned the game. I noticed that in all EB's where I live ME3 is "on sale" for 10 dollars less and I've seen about 15 used copies total in 3 stores.

Good for you.

Regarding your previous post, it was the Retake movement that voted in that poll. Like I said, EA listened to the minority that voted them worse than Bank of America.

I could have sworn they lost by 350,000 votes though. either way they are actually listening to a minority of the majority by "clearing" the endings. The bulk of people wanted better endings, new ending options(and colors), or the real endings(do to indoctrination theory).

There's nothing wrong with adding closure to the ending. The ending is still the same anyway, so I don't see why you would have a problem with it.

I don't have a problem with them adding to the ending, I would like to see where all my old squaddies were during the events of the end, but it's not going to be closure, closure is "2000 years later the Krogan killed everyone".

You should check out Bioware's forums though, this statement they've released has generated almost as much hate as the ending, about 60 or 70% of the Retakers are furious that they're adding to the ending and clarifying it for free.

But regardless, yeah I'm glad that through their whining I get something for free. Even though it seems over half of them absolutely hate what we're getting.
