If you tap the control stick up at a slow pace in a certain beat, you pop out of the tornado. It's about the same speed as Falco's grounded lasers.

If you have tap jump on, it might make you waste your second jump if you don't completely get out or make you footstool MK. If you footstool him, he doesn't go to footstool animation, but it still shoots you up, which prevents you from being able to punish him.

thanx we need more falco users up at the top. I'm tired of always playing mk's or snakes in the finals or semi finals in major tournaments.
Are you saying you want falco dittos. I was under the impression it's a really lame match.

I would to. Do it big, turn heads. My second favorite combo you've done was in your set with MEEP at BIO. The match on FD where you ***** meep in some 0-110 damage combo on second stock lol.

oh yeah that combo, well i know it sound silly but i was in adrenaline mode.
Adrenaline mode is when im down and i focus so hard to come back and i get real serious and all i see is me comboing my opponent. Adrenaline mode helps me out so much when im in the toughest situations. Also when im in that mode i play faster and im able to predict my opponent. its kinda weird but thats what im able to do.

Welcome back to the boards SK92. Nice vids by the way. We certainly need more metagame discussion, perhaps we could start by analysing some of these vids?

SK92, I know exactly what you're talking about with the adrenaline mode. I know another Falco player it happened to. We both don't exactly know how to trigger it, but it's like we just go crazy.

I had that happen for a whole match...I don't even remember what happened in that match.

Falcos a pretty biopolar character IMO. Sometimes you can camp like lil ***** and it works great. But when the time calls for it you can blow up and unleash the **** on your opponent. Im pretty reserved as a player but I go a lil crazy on the occasion.

And Tommg G have you heard of Kismet2? Hes a good falco from GA.

glad to see you back on smashboards.
What happened to you attending that SoCal tourney Oct. 18th?
well i forgive you since I wasn't able to make it either, I'm just kind of tired of DSF winning all the ones I go to, seeing Falco win one would be great.

Yeah, I have. Just looked him up again and he's pretty good. Would like to see his offline skill though.

I think the biggest thing Falcos can work on now is how or why that adrenaline mode exists and how we can tap into it better. It frustrates me that I see the skill level that I have, but I can't use it all of the time....or maybe its just me :(

Those vids are kind of old Lol. Also the adrenaline mode is going to come at random and it won't happen if you're frustrated, it's more likely to happen when you feel like you're pushed up against a wall or you're falling behind and you don't want to be 3 stocked. The adrenaline fits Falco because it happens so randomly, which helps him do unexpected stuff that the opponent wouldn't see coming.

This is what frustrates me (Bold) I've come back from a 3 stock and won because of it.

I've had it happen from the beginning for a whole match, but I don't remember the match.
SK92, or any Falco for that matter, do you have a video from when you were playing in this adrenaline mode thing?

I can't believe we're actually getting good falcos here to talk about this. Not to say that the ones that've been here were bad.....ok yeah that's exactly what I'm saying.

XD jk The good ones know who they are.

Adrenaline mode requires EVERYTHING to be in balance. You need to be warmed-up, but not tired of playing. You need to be confident, but not arrogant. You need to acknowledge that you have observers, but not be shy about it. You need to play observantly, but proactively. Above all, you can't be frustrated or distracted.

When you feel that calm come over you when things like the audience and the controller and everything else in life fade away, that's when you can enter the adrenaline flow.

Professional athletes and performers are practiced at entering this state on a regular basis, and we as competitve smashes must become so as well.

Anytime I'm called upon to perform anything, whether it be Smash or something else, I always stop beforehand, close me eyes, take a BIG deep breath and hold it for just a bit, then let it out completely. I try to clear my head of any biases I have against my matchup or the stage, and just try to enter the match with as focused a mind as possible.

Before you guys get too out of hand looking into how to trigger this whole "adrenaline mode" thing, I think we should look into whether or not it even exists. Hear me out now.
I heard multiple times that this often comes into play when you are down by a lot and need to come back and somehow you manage to bridge the gap, combining that with "human nature" makes me think it was more your opponent that got sloppy because he figured he had the game in the bag which is a general mindset that people often fall into in these situations.
In order to figure out whether this is real we have to watch the points where you claim it occurred and judge your play in comparison to your normal playstyle as well as your opponent's play. I watched the vid with Meep on Yoshi's Island and I saw him doing rather poorly I think, there was a point where he could have jumped out of the CG rather than get caught by the boost pivot grab but he did not.
Aside from this theory it is also possible that it is just an increase in successful attempts at predicting your opponents actions which is largely just luck and will forever remain so. (although getting to know your opponent also helps)

While some super Falco mode sounds great and all, I'm kind of skeptical about the idea.
