That happens to me, somehow everyone thinks I'm a cheater [I can't even WD properly yet, so what will happen then?] and they have a shot at beating even though I hand them their *** on a silver platter.

In time, they will learn, even if it means stalking them in a FFA [I have no choice, read my sig, I have to play in an arcade with noobs who love items >.> [ I secretly turn them of sometimes]] and making them lose 3 minutes before everyone else.

such as

no glasses + very small tv combined (i would know)

I see the "TV lag" as a valid john. I just returned from a tournament yesterday where every TV had about a half-second of lag. The game is unplayable at that point. Skill sorta slips out the window, and anyone can win. I ended up taking third when I could've easily taken first. TV lag swings the match more in favor of fast characters since their moves are that much more forgiving in a laggy environment. In this particular tournament, we had to pre-register our characters, so I couldn't change my mind to compensate.

I don't like the way you call everything a john. A john is VERY SIMPLY: A lame excuse.

Knowing the difference between a john (or someone johning) and a legitimate explanation for certain events will allow you to help your friends (or johners) to improve.
