thanks everyone for the help/tips.. i hear the community is really elitest but you guys were great, who's a good tank character for beginners, Mundo?
The name of the game currently is tanky dps not tank, normally two tanky dps can cover a tank role and provide the damage the tank couldn't. If you like mundo I recommend 3s with him as I have been told he is a god of 3s.

Ok. out of these 4 champs which ones would get me to lvl 30 the fastest. I'm stomping the majority of my games ever since i started playing solo without my room mates. I have Mordekaiser, Gangplank, Annie, and Chogoth bought. I'm just wanting to get out of this ezpz stuff :(

I've seen heimers beat both orianna and brand in lane several times.

His "viability" may actually be at an okay point right now, its just taking time for people to adjust.
(Actually the buffs that came out this patch weren't that strong... maybe that buff to his ultimate is actually really really good?)

his laning is ridiculous against melee champions and a lot of casters

problem is u have to kill his turrets.. and that can be difficult. if youre a caster then your wasting mana and missing cs while doing it. and his harass is strong too. he just gets ***** in ganks and his teamfight relies on turrets..

Heimer is just incredibly good at laning. Not surprised that he won vs Orianna. I mean, I'm surprised she LOST, but yeah it's pretty hard to lose most lanes as Heimer.

Last buff wasn't incredibly strong, was basically what his ult "should" have done for a long time. His overall laning and early team fighting has been buffed over time since he was nerfed. Still think the CD on turrets is a bit high and his AP ratios/CD's not in proportion with other casters just yet, but we'll see what they do.

Biggest change with his Ult is that if a team fight goes somewhere else and 2 turrets are down, you can run to where the fight is/will be/might be and put down a frost turret to help out.

well 500 heal isn't bad, 250 for those around you.

Could have sworn the mastery used to make it do 100% healing to those around you... but they changed it at some point I guess.

It also heals minions... it would "kinda" be okay for a tower dive push.

Heal after the nerf IIRC was made to scale down to prevent hard abuse. WAY back in the day wayyyyyyyy back then.

LOL.

Honestly, that still sounds uber easy to abuse.

And yeah, I know clarity has that, just thought that heal also used to have that. I was around for that heal metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Heimers ult buff is crazy good. now they can do the whole keep both turrets in his backpack, ult then put them down, instead of having to put them down first and then ult. gives alot of strength and hits. i've noticed heimers dealing about 300-600 damage that they didn't use to do (at lvl 6)

also had a 2-6-28 game as leona. i love having a competant team (we had 0 CC except leona, and man she is enough when you have THAT much damage.)

vs'd an ok one recently with yorick but the thing is, he sucks late game. Hes good laning and split pushing but thats it

*points back like 50 pages where i said heimer was mad underrated*

anyway about these smashboards 5's teams... do you look for players that excel in one role, or players that can perform multiple roles fairly well? i.e. do your teams have 1 designated jungler, 1 designated ad carry, etc. or are you all just good players who play every role?

also whenever im jungler i smite his turrets the minute he puts one up. or i yell at jungler on my team til he starts smiting them

if youre playing a heimer, u can always get a smite on your carry or top laner, and make his teamfight god awful. smite both turrets and 5v4

It also meant me not being able to play him because people would get there 1st!

I'm over halfway to having enough IP for him now.

Brand seems like he is amazing early>mid game.

But is generally outclassed late game.

I actually had that happen to me with noxus poppy. I'm positive that everyone can see you using the skin because it was in a premade and we were all freaking out about it the entire time. Also in the YT description it says...

"This trick is NOT client side, it is server side. It does not unlock the skin, it only allows you to use the skin."

probably just that the client loads the skin selection data/interface before registering which character you are

so you can pick "skin_002" for teemo really quckly, and it will see "skin_002" and see that you are playing soraka and give you a soraka skin instead

Well, Sona's healing got nerfed no matter what you try to do to supplement it. Soraka's heal number wise is better unless you build more than 50ish AP, but the CD is also doubled. I don't like the armor buff getting stronger. 100 bonus armor you can grant someone at Level 7 is a huge amount. Even though that's only for 5 seconds and the overall duration she will be able to keep it up on someone with max CDR is nerfed, that is a lot of armor to be able to give a carry mid game and even late game. I would have preferred seeing the armor duration extended a tad more to say 7 or 8 seconds, but kept the boost the same.


Edit: Galio's been getting some laning buffs. His ult still isn't as good as before (unless I've missed some big buffs on his ult) but his mana costs and AP ratios have been slowly buffed back. Also probably getting more love as an answer to more AP solo's flying around.

I mean, if that overreaction gets them to change their plans and refrain from nerfing that far (at least as far as Soraka is concerned since she can't output damage like Sona can in case either of them got healing ****ed), then yeah. Of course it's not final, but I'd rather people vocally express that they would hate it/think it's a bad idea if things go that way instead of waiting for the changes first and waiting a few patches or weeks for changes to get reverted and do this all over again.


From what it looks like though, they aren't increasing Healing over a period of time, nor are they increasing burst healing. Sona won't heal for as much either way, Soraka will burst heal for a bit more as long as you keep under 60 AP or so. But the increase in burst healing isn't worth the CD increase and the armor buff and the lower AP ratio so she can't attempt to scale lategame where a 350 ish heal on a 12 sec CD with max CDR frankly won't be good enough.

Personally, I'm just reacting to the changes Shurelia posted. Double cooldown on her heal would wreck her laning phase really really hard.

Think about it this way. Doubling the cooldown on it is WORSE for laning than just halving the heal on it because of the armor buff it gives. Imagine soraka with half the healing in laning phase. Why would you ever pick her? Her only utility aside from healz is a nasty silence.

They buffed her Q. Isn't going to make a difference laning.
Overal nerf to her E, which is only gonna make her laning even worse.

Not to mention HALVING the AP ratio on her heal. IIRC, good soraka players get AP runes. If you take that into account, the small base heal amount buff isn't even gonna make up for the AP ratio nerf, as far as laning goes.


In return, armor amount increased... yay...


Also, Shaya, we're not high level yet buddy :p

Post this **** in a place where it matters, in the discussion thread or in the discussion channel where she watches. It's simply another case of the community not being satisfied ever. Of course you can choose to not trust, but at least do it with some dignity.
