He can sit outside the window watching us play and look sad.

earl man, you need to vs more awesome mks with chars that aren't mk so you can fully understand where most of us come from. It's true he can be beaten. But it takes so
much more effort for the non mk player to concerntrate for the full match. And even if we do concerntrate the whole game and make zero mistakes, you guys can just run away for the whole match..:/

Look Tibs, MK sucked out the time from that set and consequently gave the impression that someone being 1 up on you meant that they won.
So it's still MK's fault.
He's to blame for Global Warming as well.

I would yeah. But that's because I like playing in and being a part of a metagame with problematic issues. It interests me, idk.

Btw Nova I actually did beat Tibs in a set in like October or something but whatever. I think I've beat him in 2 sets now. Last tournament I was gonna cause an upset and beat him with Jiggs, but the tourney didn't end and now Tibs knows the MU. Guess that oppurtunity has gone by. Oh well.

I'd rather everyone used MK. Than only a few people.
If everyone only used MK I'd only have to study one MU. But the MK match up needs dedication and some *****es use Sheik and Jigglypuff and ROB and WTF i have to study that. If everyone used MK that'd be so much easier.

To be fair, I think it is ALMOST even. ZSS can evenly match MK at mostpositions, exceptions being when she is recovering below the stage and when he is beside her in the air. This isn't the only reason why it's "even", but I'm not going to get into that here.

My execution is just so fail that it feels like a bad matchup. @_@

Australia is not that good. You make it sound like MK is the only character not as good as it's US counterpart.



Consider this: do you think that the Brawl scene is likely to remain active (and it is debatable how active it is right now) if you tell the new people that are interested in playing that MK is the only character they are likely to succeed with?

It's this kind of attitude that really annoys me.

People should be able to main whoever they want without dealing with this kind of ****, regardless of their reasons. Why they use a character isn't anyone else's business anyway.

By the way, you're also one of the people you're talking about. Started out Pit/whateverman with average placings, then switched to MK/Snake/Falco and started doing well, then eventually just settled on Falco. So get the **** over yourself.

You don't have to tell them that... They are just as likely to succeed with other characters. New comers aren't going to beat Earl or Afropony or Ledge anyway, so you know, they can pretty much use anyone to deal with the rest of us doesn't make much different as long as it's not Ness or something. Maybe the MK's when they get better... But by that stage it'll be their 4th tournament at least so we'll have won them over with loveable personalities by that stage

The Brawl scene isn't going to be helped in remaining active if people keep judging each others mains either... just use who you find fun. People like Conor are still gonna do better with Kirby than MK against other MK's. I don't know really... It depends how competitive you want to be... But for Vic Brawl to remain active, just getting good with any character and having fun is probably going to be more helpful than *****ing about MK/Using MK just to win.

i kinda agree with scoot, though.

i played mk for a total of about 5 hours, and i can already go even-ish with tibor's diddy. arguably do better with him than my snake. i make mistakes, miss auto cancels, di badly, disregard spacing, but its all good, cause im metaknight. i dont think its hard to be good with him at all. i mean, being amazing is hard, but making top ten (in melbourne at least) isnt difficult with him. hes just too easy.

and i for one would stop having a go at mk players if people stopped switching to him, won mus that were only slightly in their favour consistently, and/or banned him. i dont ask for much lol

and falco is actually difficult to use. took forever for me to be able to take matches off tibs. even now i still lose to people who arent considered very good with him.

I think I've gone away from what I originally wanted to say, which was just my opinion/idea, and not anything I expect to happen.
I never expect MK to get fully banned.
But that's not to say I wouldn't like to see a major (not on the scale of Robocop though) where MK is flat out banned. That's my point. I started trolling when people failed to read what I was saying.
I would like a relatively big tournament where MK is banned (I'd love even more for it to be hosted in Melb...), everyone would be aware of MK being banned.
