I'm over all disappointed in Falco still being as high as he is; feeling there should have been a tier seperating MK/Snake/Dedede/Wario and A tier, featuring Diddy, Marth, Falco, and Game and Watch.
As I firmly believe Marth is a cut above the rest below him, hell, every character in 'A tier' besides ROB he counters.
I wonder how firmly Wario hype will sustain itself in the long run, as I was pretty sure Falco hype died, yet he's still 4th in the list...

It wasn't an easy list to make.
A lot of debate towards the end of the process.
The most important thing I took from it all though is that whilst it's important to have this list to refer to, it's also important to listen to your own opinion. Your own opinion of what the tier list should look like is an amalgamation of your experience and knowledge and so you should listen to that.

Broom says Dtier is borderline, so while im all for them being in low tier for varieties sake, C tier shouldnt be in anymore. Frankly i was against having the entire bottom half of the list count as low tier anyways, cos characters like Peach, Wolf, etc always struck me as being mid tier, not low =/

The thing that Shaya has here is an Australian Character Rankings List, it represents how characters are doing in tournaments in Australia. It's different to the tier list.

I use this as a 'tier list' purely to let characters like Game and Watch, who definitely shouldn't be as low as they are 'cheap' points. If someone was to use the rank list as a base for tier tournaments (as I've done in the past...) high/top tier characters that pop up get used, but luckily there's generally always a character in the same rank area that does well against them.
In this case, IIRC, Kirby, Bowser and Yoshi both do well against game and watch.
Back when I held one where Dedede was low, every man and his dog used Ice Climbers against me (IIRC, Pikachu was available too).

with all the talk of the tier list lately (at least in the melbourne boards), does anybody else think that australia should vote in its own tier list? we dont seem to be too closely aligned with japan or america, and have a lot of underused or just unused characters near the top of the list that we use. it doesnt make a lot of sense really...

It might be something to look into in the future, but at the moment Australia's player base is still relatively miniscule compared to the US and Japan.
Also, update it, Shaya! I want to see Ness jump out of his tier. =P
