I'm at my first out of region tourney (Apex), and I was unable to go enter singles but I've doing really well with friendlies and MMs. For example, I was able to beat Nicole the Peach from Missouri, vato_break, and others to be disclosed later.

Anyway, just throwing that out there. I wish you guys could've made it.

Lastly, good to see ya back Kalm. Looks like we've got some competing to do. I've improved exponentially in the past few months, so this should be interesting.

Kosk doesn't even play Brawl anymore lol, he just pops in to say hi.

Kalm's only been to like 2 tournaments and Verm doesn't travel outside of his region (or hasn't yet, at least).

I don't see any of these 3 players ever fighting each other lol.

DLA vs. Verm, on the other hand.... I have a feeling it will happen by the end of the year. That's what you guys should be getting hyped about :p
4-way competition maybe? =O Oooooooh, and I think Clai would probably be interested too.

I'm ready to witness this clash of the titans!

Welcome back, Exalted!

Which decks did you run again?
And what tactics/strategies?
I run a pretty old Morhp build. No map build, no OTK build, just more a simple builld.
It can gain momentum pretty fast, but its kinda scred when it loses it. Comebacks are hard without Celfon.
Also a pretty out-dated Batterynan build, no WATT Giraffes, no Battyerman. Data cell or whatever the new Batteryman guy is called, no trade-in draw engine with Guardian of Order....
All budget stuff. Don't think I'm ever gonn edit them, Mortphtronics seam to be dead now, no new cards, so I can just keep running that, and Batteryman.. Meh I have to have some second deck. My parents would kill me if I spend money on ""that stupid cards" again.
So I'm just here testing out some builds in WC 2010 Reverse of Arcadia.. The tournament money is spend on Brawl, so no yu-gi-oh tournaments anymore.
I geuss yu-gi-oh is slowly dying in me, and the only sign of it thats left is WC 2010. Its sad, but its just too much money and another competive game just interests me more. And uhm, dutch yu-gi-oh community is waaay more dead then dutch bralw community.

That's the deck I run. My whole strat is based on clearing out your backfield and viciously sweeping through the frontline with 5000+ ATK, with the side chance of piercing your defense, so it doesn't matter what position your monsters are in. Power Bond to make a Cyber Twin is too good, but Power Bond to make a Chimeratic Overdragon + Fairy Meteor Crush is so much better, because of how much it *****.

Basically, I won't go offensive, until I'm positive I'll land a successful hit or two, which by then is game.

I tried to convince DLA to go Ganon yesterday, but he refused. If DLA and Verm fought in Ganon dittos then Verm would cause DLA to explode in purple flames and then Verm would fly away with FoG.

looooooooooooooool.

When did Kalm display hatred and jealousy for Verm? Not since he got back, Kalm was only disappointed in the lack of faith that the Ganon boards had in him (no lie, we all thought he was gone). And if you're referencing something that happened before Kalm left....that would have been at least 4 months ago! So you're just making stuff up.

Pretty much everyone on the Ganon boards respects everyone else (aside from the occasional burp here and there). Just chill, man.

Verm says: "Easy guys, lest relax a little. For one, Kalm, ScaryLB59 is a well known Zelda/Sheik main. This is not an account of mine. Secondly, to respond to what you said on my account, for the king of evil spot, I think it is best that we do it systematically. You are the the best Ganon I've personally faced but I haven't faced all the other great dorfs yet. To be perfectly honest, you do not have the credentials to take the spot no contest. As far as I know, you have good placings but I do not know of any notable accomplishments on your part and your placings, while impressive, do not show any outstanding players in your bracket. Thirdly, let's not start a bunch of drama over this. Kalm you have to understand that you were gone fir quite sometime without a single word and Tin Man confirmed the fact that you had quit. So as I said, we will handle the king of evil spot systematically and allow all pro Ganons and equal shot at the throne. Kalm, you're great but you're not as far above other Ganons as you think."

Good **** Verm, glad to see you're doing so well. I wish I was there so I could fight a bunch of those people too :( I'm very jealous of your opportunity lmao XD

Did Nicole say anything about my Ganon? I beat her all 3 games of a friendly set at MLG Cbus (I also played her a lot when I was in Missouri). I also fight YoshQ often, and I've beaten his Luigi in a tournament set back when I played Ganon in tournament. I haven't fought any of those other people though.

Glad to hear you're repping Ganon though, I tried to get the livestream commentators to interview you but it was a no go :(

Oooooooooooooh, I did miss something. Well, I'm not going to edit my ignorant other post because that's unmanly, but I will say that Kalm should be restored (especially considering that Verm never really got to settle down on the throne). After restoring Kalm, we can go and systematically determine the King.

Both Kalm and Verm have good points, and are both right to a degree. So just don't get in a girly fight over this.

Thanks, man!

And yeah, Nicole spoke highly of your Ganon. I wish you could've made it man, I missed you and all the other great 'Dorfs at Apex. :(

Thanks again for the encouragement though, dude.

As for the other issue, I want to say this. Kalm, it is great to have you back. It really is. But I must say something, and it may come off as a bit harsh. When you were around, you seemed to freely manage the boards and take everything into your own hands. My aim was to allow all Ganon says in the direction of the boards. We did what we did with the boards for a reason, and that primary reason was to evenyl distribute the influence of every Ganon here on the boards.

King of Evil should be left blank for now. We will figure out a system to induct someone. But everyone should know that impressive placings will be taken into account far less than those whom you beat in bracket. We have to take into account that some regions are exeptionally weak and some exceptionally strong, so numerical placings alone will count for little, at least, if we go about this with any sort of intellect.

Also, videos of me versus San, YoshQ, KirinBlaze and others to come soon.

Had to put my dog down 3 days ago. She was ill, had lost 6 pounds - which is half her body weight, she's a shelty - was essentially rotting from the inside out. I was hit kinda hard - I was kinda there when she was born - but I'm somewhat over it now.

In other news, anyone know where I can find tools to edit Smash64? I figured out what it was missing and must rectify the situation.

Sorry to hear that man... I have a sheltie too, they're great dogs :( (though my sheltie is a neurotic wackjob). I'd type out a long sentimental post, but I just did that for Verm's dog a few pages back and I don't think I could make it sound sincere lol. Just know that I feel for you dawg :3

As for Smash 64, I can't say I know of any tools or anything... is it for PC or Wii (VC)? I think it would be easier to edit an emulated version but who knows.

Your second point here contradicts your first. But, anyways, before anything I will get the old social thread re-opened because I'm not liking the way you're handling the current one. We'll see what we can do then.

Dammmmnnnn, Ray Kalm starting up some big time drama. How will Verm react?

IMO, Verm's gonna come out on top. He may be a bit of a newcomer, but Kalm can be hella icy and I'm not sure the current Ganon community can warm up to him. And Verm is as huggable as a bunny dressed up like Gary Coleman.

However, Kalm never was formally dislodged from the King of Evil spot, and his great contributions to the board plus his great Wifi skill (not to mention his up-and-coming tournament results) more than earned him the King of Evil spot back when he was active.

Will Kalm's inactivity be reason enough for the community to opt for a new King? Or will Kalm be able to strong arm (or F-air, if you will) the community into restoring him to the throne?

This matchup's 60:40 Verm IMO. Kalm's got the goodies but I'm not sure he can sell them, especially when Verm's goodies are just as tasty. ... Wow this is a bad metaphor.

How is it a contradiction? Secondly, feel free to. But it'll only send the boards into disharmony. But if I may ask, what exactly do you not like about this one? I'm assuming the fact that you're not at the top of the tier list. Otherwise, the threads are identical, save for this one being more up-to-date on the tier list.

But to be fair, you left for 3 months without a word. Being absent from the game is one thing. Being wholly absent without a trace is another.

Now, I want to make a few observations, Kalm. Understand that none of it is meant to be personal, since I respect you as a fellow Ganon.

Firstly, what inspired the change initially was the stagnation. While you were gone, the boards stagnated because nothing was ever updated and there was nothing new to add to the boards. Secondly, and you may not like this one, but you commandeered the old threads. You had a somewhat... for lack of a better word, bossy approach. The power and influence of the boards were too concentrated around what you thought and what you thought alone.

My aim (or OUR aim, as board members collectively) was to evenly distribute everything and give everyone a little bit of say. Things have changed here, Kalm, and you're going to have to understand that with new people comes a bit of change. As much as you enjoyed being the "leader" you can't expect everyone to wait for you as a dog does his tardy master.

The King of Evil spot, right now, as far as I'm concerned, is undecided. We should let the Ganon boards and the community in general decide who deserves the spot. I realize I am a fairly new Ganon in relation to you, Kalm. I can agree it's not entirely fair that I have the spot in light of your contributions and seniority. But this is why I propose that we implement a system to determine the King of Evil.

I was gone for less than 2 months, and you can't just assume someone is wholly absent out of no where. Tin man told you I was absent from the game scene for a while, he didn't tell you I quit if I recall correctly.

1. Not a contradiction. The second point was to exemplify the first. The fact that the exact placing means little depending on whom you beat in bracket. If you're in a weak region, getting 7th, 5th or even 3rd means next to nothing if you had an easy bracket. But if you get a lower placement, but had a really tough bracket in a tough region, that counts for more than a higher placing.

For example, if one Ganon faces an Ike, Wario and Fox in bracket, all the aforementioned being only above average and gets 5th, yet a Ganon in a tougher region faces an ICs, D3, Falco, MK, beats a noteworthy player, but places lower, I believe that speaks for something.

2. You were gone for just about three. And Tin Man did confirm you quit. He said so, verbatim.

No worries. Also, I figured Tin Man would know since he's an active TO.

Anyway, all this mess aside, it's great to have you back, Kalm. If you're willing, I look forward to the competition ahead of us for the spot. I respect you greatly as one of the top Ganons, and hopefully the feeling is requited. So let's see if we can go about this systematically and reach closure.

You should do the same in your thread. Not that I have any interest at all as to whom takes the position at this point, but you might as well "level the playing field" and all that.
