Black Forest Cakes are amazing (though I'm not sure if you can find them in the states since it is a french cake. I know there were some in Montreal though.).

lmao what the heck, is this the verm boards now? I swear last time I was here the general and social thread was completely different as well as the tier list. The lack of myself and breezy on there is pretty suspicious too, was there a vote or something?

Kalm's inactivity led to a lot of the threads he made falling apart, and thus spawning more activity amongst the boards. The overhaul we did with the social thread and everything else has brought considerable activity back to the boards. And why would it be the Verm boards? I only made the social thread.

And yeah, there was a vote. The tier list is still being completed. You came in right as everything was being constructed lol. The tier list still has a long, long way to go before it's finished. Everything's still underway. Right now, Terodactyl and I are doing testing for all the Ganons who want on the tier list, since no one else volunteered. We're testing to get a general idea of where everyone belongs, and from there achievements, strength of representation, tourney placings and skill demonstated through videos or word of mouth will finalize the list.

But as I said, it's brought back considerable activity to the boards and brought in a lot of new players/members.

I don't have any problem with it at all, I was just taken by surprise. I only said it was the verm boards cause you have a lot of spots on the awards thing, just a little humor. I don't really have much problem not being on the list, I'm not really as active as I used to be, I was just disoriented lol

Oh, that's what you meant. xP

Alright, no worries. I just wasn't sure if something didn't sit well. :p The boards just really needed some life breathed back into them, and everyone agreed remaking and polishing everything was a good way to give everything a fresh start.

And, I think I speak for everyone when I say, as a long-time Ganon main, you belong on the list. We just need to determine where, is all. Same goes for several others who've yet to be put on due to either inactivity or disinterest.

Verm, Kalm actually has offline-results. And very good placings.
I just can't find the thread(s).

He should either be the King of Evil, OR in the Honourable mention-section.

I couldn't find them either. If Kalm doesn't show up within the next week, I'll put him in honorable mention.

But what matters most in placings is bracket. So, when placings are considered, notable players beaten will be a huge factor.

One of my pups just passed away. He wasn't in a good way to begin with, but we never imagined he was this close to death. I took him out for a bath this morning and left him in the yard to dry for a little bit so he could be outside and bask. When my mom came home, I went to go get him and found him with a very glassy look, not breathing.

I know everyone loses pets, but when the pet has gone through the kind of hardship he did, it steps it up to a whole new level of bonding between the owner and pet. He lost the use of his back legs, so for quite some time now, we've been assisting him, helping him go to the bathroom and doing our best to maintain a good quality of life for him.

The thing that really stabs at me the most is how he passed... I left him out in the yard, simply thinking he'd enjoy sunbathing since it was a cool, breezy day. I regret feeling he thought he was abandoned. I regret knowing he died alone. >_<

I must admit I didnt expect such sensitivity from you.

This is a very pleasant surprise.

Sucks your pup died, though. Condolences.

Thanks, guys.

@Slash: We're getting him cremated. But we do have to bring him to to vet's to have it done though. Hard part. >_<

@Knee: Thanks, man. Also, I know I probably came off as a hard-***, but that's the farthest thing from my demeanor. It's just my way of dealing with people I suspect of being trolls. Drop by the chat sometime, you'll see how relaxed I am lol.

Even Ganon has a softspot for doggies. :(

Truly sorry for your loss, Verm.
And it's sad that he passed away all alone.

The only possible thing I could say to cheer you up is:
Passing away all alone... That's how Ganondorf would want it.

Really sorry to hear that Verm... it really is a horrible feeling. My family fosters puppies until they're old enough to be adopted, and we once had a mother who gave birth to a litter of seemingly healthy puppies... but after a few weeks, they became ill with distemper and all 6 of them died. It was a really miserable experience and it almost made us stop rescuing dogs altogether. But we later realized that we gave the puppies a great life, and there's really nothing we can do to keep these things from happening.

I hope you consider getting another dog; it won't get rid of the sadness, but it will definitely make you feel better while your laments are slowly replaced by loving memories of your lost friend.

Also, at the risk of sounding annoying... you should try to adopt from a rescue if you're getting another dog. I understand there are a lot of puppy mills in the New England area, and these dogs not only die alone... they have an absolutely miserable life before they die alone. So please adopt instead of supporting pet stores :)

Hope you feel better man

Thanks so much, everybody.

@DLA: Yeah, man, we definitely will get more pups. And no worries, we'd never buy from a pet store. We always adopt or rescue. It's painful, but having a decade full of love for a pup and the joy they bring is, in my opinion, worth the pain of losing them.

Losing a pet is always really hard Verm, I've had lots of cats and and seen most of them die. It's just as horrible as losing a family member for me. Although I don't think your dog felt abandoned, I bet you he loved you just as much as you loved him.

Last encounters are only meant if there's something to say or feel. From what you said, you genuinely cared for each other, that's why I don't think he felt abandoned. Rather I think he passed on loving you in thanks.

I agree with Tero that he didn't die feeling abandoned. Pets tend to know when they're about to die, and they prefer to die away from others. I had a cat that died last year while I was in Australia who was 19 years old. He had survived more than he should of (not that I'm complaining, I loved him so much), but last summer he finally just walked away when my dad let him out of the house and he didn't come back.

I personally think of it as the pet (in your case, your dog) preventing you from having to watch it die. In the case of my cat, he also allowed me to never have to see him dead. And what I'm about to say could come off as harsh, but I mean it in a comforting way: While you may feel like you will never forget the pain of this loss (maybe you don't, but if you do....), time will heal this wound. You said you'll get another puppy, and that will definitely help you feel better. There will be times when you really miss your dog, but those will be happy memories.

Yeah, my cats have done that as well. They tend to go off to die in seclusion. I just wish I could've been with him.

But thanks so much, Burg. You guys have no idea how much just every word means. I know it may not seem much to you guys, but just knowing you guys care enough to take the time to help me out means the world to me.

In other, more light-hearted news, although somewhat saddening, but so in a completely different nature. I spoke with Tin Man, an Ontario TO, and asked him about Kalm. It seems we were right about our suspicions of him quitting. It seems he made the full conversion to Snake and hasn't actually played since around April.

Let go of the sadness for a bit and fill your heart(s) with righteous anger, for another of our (my) favourite Dark Lords has gone to the light side, though only we have the cookies.

Alright, so it appears there's an opening for a prominent Ontariodorf. Time to get on those tourneys.
