Fox boards 2013 = we lose to Peach?

For the most part I don't think its about Peach beating Fox, just Fox not having the 65-35 matchup advantage that's commonly thrown around and it being much closer to even (but still in Fox's favor).

Maybe the results have changed since, and obviously it's not 100% across the board, but there is definitely a tendency for high level Peaches to beat high level Foxes outside of Armada. Again, let me make it quite clear that I'm not using this as proof or even evidence that the matchup is in Peach's favor. All I'm saying is that the burden of proof is on people who think Peach loses to explain why because results are the only evidence we have of matchups, and the evidence we have points to Peach winning. It's times like these I wish the Elo ratings were working so I could point out the ratio of Peach wins to Fox wins in the matchup.

Generally, be very careful of DDing into his moves. You run into then a lot, but fortunately for you he likes to jab a lot for some reason

no, leffen, i have never spread personal information about you. there is a huge difference between posting
this amazing story of you getting owned beyond comprehension:

Basically, there was alot of drinking at stiiig. it was all great fun, and as smashers have seen before, leffen sucks at partying and he always acts more drunk then he is and just in general acts ******** (kind of like a 14 year olds first time drinking, except that he is like that every time). knowing that leffens drunkedness is based on placebo, i hatched up a plan (this was all the mighty mike swaggars idea). we where going to make a drink of something like apple juice and something bitter (thats not alcohol) and have him take shots off it, and watch him thinking hes drunk and laughing at him.

unfortunately, O, the guy who was supposed to buy the apple juice and vinegar or something else with a strong taste, forgot to do as such.

However, the last night, me and IVP wanted to pull it off, and we decided to do something a bit risky. after the first night, somebody had put some beer in a small glass for shots, and thats what me and IVP decided to use. It had been there for 4 days, filled with dust and old and disgusting. at one point i picked up a dead fly from the glass.

We took him outside to take shots with us, and we pretended we where trying to get everyone outside to drink with us (most people were playing smash at the time), so he would not suspect anything.we mindgame him into taking the shot, he says "oh my god, that was strong", and apparently this 5% beer was to strong for him to drink everything, he left a third. he immideatly starts walking funny, acting more drunk, walking funny, and saying "OH MY GOD IM GONNA PUKE OH NO". Leffen asks what it was, and I say "well, it was some 35% apple flavored vodka". Underestimating how ******** leffen is, I wanted to pull a safe move. But IVP, knowing leffen better does something far more flashy and risky, like an amazing captain falcon. IVP says "No, that was the 70% apple liquor (he didnt hear i called it vodka) stuff jadde brought!" (jadde is a guy who goes very far at parties, drinks alot, brings weird drugs etc so it was very beleivable he wouldve brought it). Leffen freaks out, saying "OH NO YOU TRICKED IM GONNA PUKE!", stumbles inside.Me and IVP can barely hold ourselves from laughter, as soon as we were 2 metres away from him we just looked out each other and almost burst out in laughter but managed to do it somewhat quietly. Leffen didn't notice it, I guess he was drunk from the 2/3rds of a shot of 5% beer he drank.Once leffen is inside, he claims to armada and a few others that he had taken a shot of 80% (yes, 80%) apple-liquor-vodka. which obviously does not exist. it was colored like beer, so it being 70% is ****ing impossible. but leffen, naive as he is, beleives it.

Zoler, being a bit to drunk, tells the story to armada. Armada laughs his *** off and later he told me that he was very proud of me over what I had accomplished.I must also give IVP huge credit over his part, although it was my idea and plan, he did most of the execution, and he pulled it off perfectly.But Zoler ****s up and keeps talking about it when leffen is close, and leffen overhears it. It made me very sad and dissapointed in Zoler, but leffen had already gotten owned so I guess it was OK.

Me and IVP are outside, chilling, drinking some beer and laughing about leffens retardness. Leffen walks by and is going to bed. Being less ******** then zoler we start talking about something else. We start saying things like "man, you're so drunk!". He says, in a very holier-then-thou matter "pfft, i know it was a trick you guys...", trying to pretend as if he figured it out on his own. But 5 minutes later me and IVP hear about how he overheard Zoler.

and what you did. id also like to remind you that you, long before i did, posted here on smashboards a story of me ****ing up (when i burned myself and had to leave the tournament) and you saw no problem in it (neither do i), yet you see a problem with this even though its the exact same thing.
i actually did apologize about it, even though i never had any reason to (otherwise i wouldn't post it again =P), because i initially beleived your silly lie that your parents found out about you drinking via this story.
claiming that my ****talk is as even as bad as inuis is absolute nonsense. if anyone doubts it just listen to the kfc commentary, even though i did go to far at one point, and i'm, sorry about that.
remember that you have said several times that you do not get affected by my trashtalk, and i know this, so there is no harm in what i do according to yourself.

and about the ban thing, several people have actually seriously considered banning you for realsies, as you know.

Leffen, this is my total newb impression, but you seemed to get hit a lot either by falling/running into attacks awkwardly or just being sluggish and missing a shield, utilt, dd, etc. Maybe make sure you're more technically consistent so you can link from move to move and situation to situation faster.

Not sure about waveshine to usmash at low damage--try to find something better? I feel you lose your combo when you use it mid-stage.

Also not sure if all those full hops would work against other Sheiks.

You go even with Armada for the most part, even though most people would be in agreement that he is a much better player. I don't think Peaches are winning the MU by that large of a margin overall (and there are tons of factors that play into why they do win the MU, like how comfortable players are in them).

Losing every set ever = going even? You lost me.

Regarding Peach vs Fox:

Y'know, it's entirely possible that Armada's 70-30 assumption is not correct. Crazy, right? But even pro level players make weird MU ratios sometimes (see: M2K and Armada vs Jigglypuff circa 2009-2010).

On the subject of throws? Yeah, having an unreliable throw is a big deal. I dunno how DIing the throw and how it affects Fox's grab game never came up before in a few people's evaluations since I'm pretty sure that's one of the first things you should check but hey you learn something new about people every day.

Regarding leffen vs Over:

Drillshine > u-smash seems awful in PAL at low percent unless you're willing to and capable of crouching the free nair she gets into something. Either grab or waveshine her further (if it's an option and you can do it) into something else or u-smash after she stops getting free counterattacks for doing it.

Your dash dance vs Sheik sucks.

Well the burden of proof should be on someone, and the only objective way to determine that is by results. I don't particularly care either way, but when I sit there and explain myself, people feel entitled to dismiss my opinion simply because it's in the minority. I've never had someone explain why there is such a huge discrepancy between their theories and reality. I frequently hear people talking about how Fox can platform camp and laser the whole match and get super fast kills, yet I've never seen that happen on any consistent basis.

I think you just kept doing the ledgestand too soon. If you watch PP vs. M2K, he just does it right before the poof hitbox, and if M2K isn't close enough to hit him with it, he just keeps hanging until she lands completely, at which point he LHs a bair/dair.
