Eh, it's not a matter of if they're a 'true' fox main, playing multiple characters shouldnt remove you from a top list, i just haven't seen M2K do anything big with his fox in awhile.

lol a million foxes for 3rd? i'm pretty sure jman and lucky arent that far ahead of the rest of the good foxes out there.

I don't understand how you have neglected to mention mango in top fox's. Although PP hasn't really shown his fox off in tournament, he's got a very keen style with fox.

I thought we weren't saying mango.

I am not saying Lucky and Jman are THAT much better than everyone else. I just think past them, there is a lot of foxes around the same level.

yeah you are right. though he did go fox at DGDTJ against hungrybox, but he lost. It's just hard not to give that fox credit when you watch it. But i do agree statistically he hasn't proven his fox really too much.

i'm glad he is though. he's the best character, but he's also the hardest to be the best at. mastering him is somewhat an investment, takes time, get ***** alot, but in the end you raaape

So, how many players can perform frame perfect short hop aerials on command??

loosely, I mean, how many can consistently aerial on the first airborn frame?

its possible he only went fox in GF vs hbox, i was just thinking of him vs hbox and assumed he went fox all tourny since he usually is stubborn with his char choices

winterfest is like the tourny that didnt happen lol

im a noob but

-you seemed like you were putting yourself in bad position for no reason (above him, right next to the edge).
-you get grabbed a ton cause of little things (not spacing aerials right, drilling him in the air )
-also when he was in the air or above you, you shined him and drilled him when you should have just baired or naired. It looked like you were just trying to get percent on him or maybe look cool or do cool stuff (it's friendlies, ok).. but the point is to knock him offstage. its a lot easier to just do that and then bair 5 or 6 times then to get him to 90% and waveshine usmash.

Also grab is good in this matchup imo.

W/e take it or leave it

- Waveshine > grab is good.
- You didn't use up-tilt. Use it!
- Most importantly, you didn't really think, you were on auto-pilot. You didn't stop and think and realized "if I wait here for half a second, he'll just land there and I can up-tilt" or something similar to that. You just went for the hit.

- When he's on a platform above you, the aerial is up, not down :p!

Any critique outside of "Ruby ur techskill sucks"?
pfft my techskill is pretty much the same

When you illusioned onto the edge... actually, never mind.
You're sort of putting yourself into pretty bad situations. Like, staying on the edge near Falcon and stuff. I'm not knowledgeable on Falcon matchups but it looks a bit risky, most of it.
er
Needs more jab.
Also, your edgestall sort of thing where you fell off the edge, then jumped back onto it, then got kneed, that was a really risky. Not because he kneed you but you don't keep invincibility long enough so it's easy to get hit or edgehogged or something.

Most of these were from my personal experiences, can't comment much on the rest. :/

Even if you're a "noob" those are still good observations. Don't discredit yourself.
nah its not a negative thing. It's a good mindset to be in to be teachable. I don't think im like a super ignorant annoying noob, but i just know im pretty ignorant of ssbm melee atm. So I get excited about all there is to learn and i don't take my lack of skill seriously =D

Ruby I think you work too much off yourself instead of what your opponent is doing. alot of times it just seems like you throw alot of stuff out just to try and initiate a combo. also the ledge stalling stuff isn't worth it, you can get hit out of the firebird during the stall easily, and it just gives you bad stage positioning.
