On Dittos: Doc vs Doc doesn't define who is the best Doc - it defines who is the best at a Doc ditto. If a Doc player could own every other character, but lost a ditto and his opponent could only win Doc dittos, who is the better player? The one who can own every character, of course.


On Samus... it's about grabs, but what you do after a grab is tricky... she's so floaty. It's tricky to combo her.

Yeah agreed, I wasn't even saying that DJN was the best Doc. Just that his Doc was incredibly impressive and probably has the best spacing I've seen.

Also, I had to face PC in tournament yesterday and I would like to confirm that: waveshine-> usmash is infact guaranteed on the Doc. He did it to me at least 3 or 4 times in our set and he confirmed to me that while very difficult, as long as Fox is fast enough it will connect. Maybe we can SDI the shine, but keep this mind. I'm sure most Fox's will not be able to do this to Doc and will opt for Waveshine->uthrow->uair but yeah, watch yo **** Docs.

And to put my own 10 cents in the now dead samus conversation... I agree with the general consensus that she's more or less uncomboable. My main tac is usually just to pill a ton, watch my spacing, and pressure alot with tilts and Uair. Once samus is in the air, it's pretty easy to toss her around a bit... just not necessarily to death. Oh! and keep an eye out for the epic Nair; comes out way too fast for doc, and DPIX has rocked my **** with it too many times. So, for correction, get her in the air and facing AWAY from you.

Pills really seem to work though =D especially in screwing up the missiles.

I once saw RaynEX posting that uthrow uair doesn't combo at any %ages
However, Fox can usually DJ-chase or wait for dairs and punish them

At low/mid percents, if Marth tips the fair while he is going up, it doesn't matter where they d.i.

A suicide dair, or just regular dair will usually hit. But this won't work ALL the time. Like you said, correct d.i. generally thwarts it.

Only fox I play sometimes is Uuaa, at my college. I played another fox that I think was at my level or a little higher, of course I lost at the time. ^^;

If that were true, then shouldn't Fox be able to as well?

Fox: Faster TOP SPEED while falling.

Falco: Faster ACCELERATION while falling.

Thus Falco falls faster at CG percents and probably can't shine out. We already know Fox, who falls even slower at these percents, can't shine out as well. You've all seen Peaches CG Fox for daaays on FD, right?

By this logic, its safe to say that Peach's CG works on both Fox/Falco.

I could be completely wrong though. lol

You got them confused.

Fox accelerates into his top fall speed quickly but has only third fastest fall speed in the game (behind Falco / Falcon).

Falco has the faster fall speed when it's finished accelerating into top fall speed. I don't remember if Falcon is faster than Falco though.
