i wouldve beaten cura with ddd, snake is just easier. I like 2 stocked him 30% or some ish then he went mk and was like 100% exact same result

I already agreed. And thats me placing top 10 ONLY using DDD. If I have guaranteed 9th place with only using ddd and can go farther I may switch if need be or w/e like if i have to plain or some ish

I like Falco and R.O.B. a lot. I might consider "maining" one of them and 2nd'ing DDD. I don't like the ICs (too inconsistent, and very stage dependent, although in Japan it don't matter...). Anyone know if either of them would be worth investing time into as a DDD partner in crime? I'm much better with R.O.B. and Falco would take a lot of time to master but I like both characters a lot.

Use Falco for the MK MU and to avoid DDD dittos. ROB for pikachu/IC/Falco/Olimar most def. Im also using ROB as well as pikachu/lucario/wario atm. My snake been sucking. >: (

Dont use ROB for MK. ROB has no options to defend himself against MK once MK gets inside

I think I'mma use DDD for MK. I started to learn the match up and after I learn it I feel like I can do well in it. I just need to test it out. I like R.O.B. a lot more than falco and I can't stand having a character with a crappy recovery.

I mean, I went into this thing full of confidence, shattered people in casuals and felt even more confident. Then my pool was MK, MK, ICs, Falco, MK, MK. When they all don't main those characters (save the ICs). So when I came back and saw 'briks comments I was like "In 100% agreement" because I felt just how hard DDD can get owned by people's secondaries. Especially on FD. I HATE FD.

Mainly because it's hard to mix up how you're landing and MK can usually knock you back up. They had sick combos on DDD too. DDD is a very popular character so everyone seems to know how to play against him. I saw stuff I had never seen before. It was sick.

Falco's recovery is actually one of the hardest in the game to gimp. D3 and even ROB will encounter a lot of occasions (especially against players, who are experienced against these characters) where they can be gimped or at least will take quite a lot of damage.

Look at how many times DEHF, SK92, Rain or any other legit Falco gets gimped out of Falcos sideB. It's almost impossible to gimp a Falco with half a brain (unless he makes some mistake and has to recover with upB).
D3 on the other hand is pretty much dead against like MK, Snake, Wario or ICs as soon as he has to recover from below aka has to use his crappy upB.

And ROB is just awful.

i agree falco when he uses side b like a champ on crack[aka mixin it up wit da cancels yeee] cant get gimped. But god help idiots that dont use it right(aka 80% of the falcos)

Well, Falco is very good. There were a lot of falcos there which is also why I kind of want to stick away from him. I didn't see a single R.O.B. so I'm hoping to surprise them a bit. Plus my R.O.B. >>>> my Falco and if they know how to play against Falco it'll be hard to do well.

No offense i know your an incredible player. But i have to disagree with this 100%. I know the d3 match up extremely well. probably in my top 3 matchs ups that i know best. Not to mention this is and extremely easy ice climber match up. I will say that in terms of over all skill, you do out skill me. However im 100% i would have beaten your d3. Snake is by far my worst match up, i still lose to jesiahteg who doesnt even brawl anymore Lol.

no..its not really that necessarily. I mean they knew how to mix up their recovery so saying it was an easy feat to edge guard this guy would be silly. But....i...idk..enjoyed changing my playstyle to suit the MU. I dont think i like SV personally for it. But when i did get them separated i just took my time in racking damage and wasnt desperate. I also tired out Lucario and Wolf against his IC. I def feel more comfortable on Lucario and i took games off him when i wasnt being dumb. Learned alittle bit on DIing the spike and mashing out for whatever thats worth on wifi.

Lucario is a really good counter for ics. Given the right stages very difficult match up for Ice climbers to win.
