So I was playing around with Samus in an offline Free For All with some casual players, and we picked Battlefield. I charged up the beam fully to start off the match. A while later into the round, someone was smashed upward, so I did a quick short hop into the air from the left platform, and fired the beam in attempt to steal the KO. Now here's where something unusual happened.
When I fired, the beam did not fly through its regular, straight path. Instead, it made a smooth curve upwards into a diagonal direction. Needless to say, I missed.
Unfortunately, the others were loudly talking and yelling about WTF just happened, so I cannot remember the inputs I may have done to accomplish it. Back home, I'm trying over and over to recreate what started that curve motion with her Charge Beam. The factors I do remember about it:
I decided to post it here, and see if the Samus boards could help with this. I didn't see anything similar listed on the stickies, so I don't think this has been found before.
EDIT: The diagram I made of what it looks like.

- I had fired it in the air from a short hop.
- There were no items on to trigger that reaction.
- It was on Battlefield, where I hopped from a platform.
- I was constantly moving around beforehand, so I had mashed the motions on the controller in a hurry, without much thought.
